(2/2) right after the job was completed

This was the first time I was getting window tints on a car and it was for my girlfriend's new Subaru so I wanted to make sure we didn't cut any corners. We went with 35% ceramics on all 11 (yes that's right, 11) windows/window panels the Impreza has and I believe the price for the amount of cutting and sizing was great. When we arrived, Scott explained to her all the different levels and difference ceramics make to ensure she was entirely satisfied with the final product. We came in knowing we wanted ceramics, but his knowledge on the product reassured us. She seemed worried about the car being too dark, but he put her at ease by showing her comparable pieces of work. The amount of care that went into not only the work, but in the meeting before he went to work on her new car really put us at ease. Note: only issue I experienced was one of the tiny back window panels was cut a little small, but it's only noticeable if you're looking for it and even then isn't bad enough to where I'd want it redone, i only mention this because it goes to tell how perfect the other pieces came out. I have included some before and after pictures that show how much better the car looks with the spectacular job that was done.

I had my 2015 BMW 535xi done here and he did a great job, I recently took my wife's truck to get tinted and yet again, he didn't disappoint. I would definitely recommend. I'm passing on this info to a friend now to get her car

Awesome service and the tints were perfect, absolutely nothing wrong with them and great quality. Will for sure go again for future cars.

The tint looks flawless and I'm beyond happy with the job Scott did.

Good price, great install, nothing bad here. Too bad it's so out of the way for me but worth the drive. Recommending to a few.

It is now June 9th, and the process is complete. Actually it's not though, because they were able to get the front emblem on (although the black film is peeling), the letters on the back are coming off and the emblem on the back, was glued in originally. I came back and they took it off, it broke so they had to order a new one. And let me tell you, I waited 2 months as they told me they ordered. It came in bad multiple times. I'm on the phone with woman who then accuses me of the reason that it fell off is my fault. I was promised they would call back so so so many times. Not once was I called back! I was promised dates that my parts would come in and no call! Finally was sick and tired of the disrespect and had to call. The owner answers and is like "I had no idea that this was even happening." Which is concerning, since you own the place. He told me to come in. I talked to the manager who was telling me, "oh I was never here until now." She didn't even know who I was. They decide to refund me fully. I asked them to fix the emblem on the back (which was my original symbol they put on that was falling off cause they didn't even try putting it on). Kid walks out there, comes back in and hands me the symbol as if I'm supposed to just put it on. Now there is no symbol on the back of my car. The front of my car, the symbol is peeling and the letters on the back are coming off. Also had a job done before to wrap the sides of my car and they did it, looked fine until I noticed some chrome coming though. Asked about it and the wrap "specialist" told me "well there's not place to tuck it in." I had also asked them to just wrap my emblems since I've seen many do it online for them to literally tell me, "it's too hard". Owner had actually told me that. Also I had someone's number, whenever i texted it, I would get a different person to respond to it every single time I texted. So unprofessional. I highly recommend to anyone reading this to never ever come here unless you want to wait a century and get the poorest quality workers to work on your car. Worst customer service. You could get better customer service talking to a Microsoft employee then these guys cause at least they will attempt to help you. If I could put lower than a 1/5 I would.

I'm going to write this review like Jesus would by pointing out two things they know how to do…read moreright. First, they know how to install remote starters well. Second, they are very friendly. However, the main issue I have with them is their lack of integrity. First, Carlos, the counter guy try's to sell me a remote starter that already comes with an alarm. He told me, "for an extra $20 bucks I could add an alarm system to go with your remote starter." Not knowing much about the Compustar Q9 package, I said, "okay, it sounds like a good deal." (Not to mention, he charged me an extra $100 for the drone module that probably already came with the $500 system.) But that's not what really bothered me. After using the alarm system for about four months, I finally had enough of the glitchy and annoying alarm. I don't think it was fully in sync with my Ford F150. So I came back and told them that I wanted the alarm removed. So, what did they do? They removed the entire $650 Compustar Q9 remote start system from my truck. Why...? ( I knew I should have been more specific with them.) So I told Luis, the manager, "you made a mistake. I only wanted the alarm removed, not my entire remote starting system." I paid $650 dollars for the remote starter. I didn't pay all that money for a cheap alarm. It was a big mistake. And when I told him this, he tried to deceive me into buying another remote starting system that doesn't come with an alarm already built in. He wanted to charge me another $250 bucks for something I didn't need. Not knowing much about Compustar systems, I asked ChatGPT for help. Thankfully, ChatGPT told me everything I needed to know. All I had to provide was two simple things. Ultimately, instead of just disabling the alarm and keeping the remote starter installed. (Which is what they should have done from the beginning.) Luis wanted to take advantage of my ignorance and rip me off an extra $250 bucks. It was a simple reprogramming issue that Luis refused to acknowledge. And tried very hard to make me believe there was no other way around it. I'm going to paste the exact ChatGPT reply, along with the text message I sent to Luis (the manager of J's Sound Shop) down below: I asked chat GPT about the issue I was having. And I asked if it was necessary to remove the whole remote start system from my F150. And based on the model number of the system and the model number of the bypass module, it was NOT necessary to take the whole thing off. You could have left the remote starter installed and just taken the alarm off. See the text below: (Chat GPT replied) I can clearly identify two modules: Compustar CM-900AS (the remote start controller) iDatalink Blade-AL (the bypass/data interface module) The Blade-AL plugs directly into the CM-900AS and allows the remote start to communicate with your 2018 Ford F-150's factory electronics, including the immobilizer and CAN bus. This is a very common, proper installation. What this means for your original question Based on this hardware, I do not see any reason the entire remote start system had to be removed just because you wanted the alarm removed. The CM-900AS can be configured in several ways: Remote start only Remote start + alarm Remote start + keyless entry Those are software/programming options and installation choices. The alarm functions are not inseparable from the remote start. A competent installer can often: Disable the alarm features. Disconnect or remove the siren, shock sensor, or alarm wiring. Leave the CM-900AS and Blade-AL installed so the remote start continues to work. The only exceptions would be if: The installer wired the alarm and remote start together in an unusual way. You specifically wanted every aftermarket component removed. There was a wiring problem that made replacement easier than modification. Those are exceptions--not the normal rule. (End of Chat GPT reply) You know the irony of it all... J's Sound Shop uses ChatGPT to promote their business. I don't know about you, but I just don't like being lied to. And trying to rip me off an extra $250 by having me purchase a new remote starting system, well that's just not right. I expect this from a car salesman, but not from a remote start installer. As a Christian, this was my honest review.
