I won't even attempt to put a star. Those guys put a hole in my valve cover then tried to blame it on the company that does my oil changes Last one I had was a month ago . I would recommend this place, they know what they're doing and talking about. I was told exactly what was wrong with my car and why it was happening. They fixed what they could and also pointed me in directions of where to find parts that I need for my car. My daughter had her brakes replaced here. She ended up having a loud noise on the right side of her car and we took it to the Nissan dealership in Boardman to have it looked at. They discovered that Midas did not install the brake adjuster correctly and it was not attached on her back rear brake. I told them to please fix the issue so it would be safe for her to drive. We then went down to the Midas on Market st and told the guy at the desk what happened. His response was we should have brought it back to them to fix as they guarantee their work. I said it needed fixed , it was there already and I had them fix their error. Also why would I take it back to them when they could have caused my daughter to wreck the car in the first place?! I asked if they were going to reimburse for the cost. He said he would send it up to corporate. I feel that was just a way to get me back out the door. We have not heard another word from them. I was in from out of town for a few days and my car was overdue for its service. I made a same day appointment online and arrived at my designated time. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The personnel was very nice and friendly. They even pulled my car up to the door. I would definitely recommend this facility. read more

Well I started my day at 0830 and figured ahh it should only take 1-1.5 hours to replace the brakes and rotors. Well, I wish that was the case. The manager stated it should be about an 1 hour till we get these done, I told Home I went to BMW and they said it needed it and I just bought the car used. I then said ok I'll just go for a walk. I did my walk and asked how's it going? Well it seem that I need to wait a little longer. Then the parts arrived(so I thought) ahh wrong rotors Then they said well they are 1 day out I said, ok tomorrow No Monday ahh that's no good.. 1030 They decided the rotors needed to be shaved, I said what ever it takes. 1130 I was told that it took 40 minutes to do the one and it might take 30 to do the next one. ( I think the kids name started with D, sadly he had his act together but it was his last day, hope he went on to bigger and better places) 1230 rolls by no contact 1330 rolls by and I noticed they put the support in the wrong spot on the car and it was resting on the frame and not the block. They argued and I said well if I can see the light under the block that you say is resting on the arm then the weight of the car is resting on the brake lines. The manager says, We will see when we get some wheels on the car, fair enough... (remember this for later) 1430 rolls by - I did meet some neat people a nice pastor and nice couple going to Maryland one starting a new job. I told them my ordeal since they had seen me ther for several hours and they said ohh we are not getting out brakes done here. 1500 - about 1.5 hours of no contact nothing about what's going on, then manager comes to me and says, I don't know where the rotors are we are going to have to drop them as a business partner. It's been over 3 hours come on.. I said look, I just want it fixed, this is getting ridiculous. It's 1515 hours he rotors arrived (the manager asked where is the bill for them and the kid said, there isn't one and they just dropped them off( remember this) Then at 1530 - I ask, what the hell is going on, everything is here, well it turns out the the brakes are the wrong ones they are trying to new ones, I'm like WTF ( remember this for later) 1535 - I went for a walk and I was a about burst.. 1545 - I head back and I'm like what is going on, what is this. He said he was sorry and that the brakes were wrong, I was like what? So we I asked the kid that had a head in his shoulders, what's the model number on those brakes. I typed them in the phone on google and came up with them. I told the manager and he asked how did you do that what did you use, I said google.. So now there was the matter of checking out the car since they put the support on the wrong spot. Well the manager was fighting that the whole way, he knew he was in the wrong and didn't want to accept it. So I said I need to make sure the brake lines are right or fuel lines what ever is there. We take the car to another lift and this time we see the brake lines are there and it does not look like they are damaged, I'm not a mechanic he is and he said they look fine. I then say look at this damage since you put the original lift in the wrong spot and he manager said to me Well we do 23 cars a day and we know where to put them. I was like well obviously not ive been her for over 7 hours and you messed this up. Then he said we are going to need to go inside and pay for the shaved rotors and then I'll give you your car. I waited a second and showed my buddy the damaged to the panel on the undercarriage. The manager comes out and says do you want to settle up, I said I'll give you 50, because I know the guy that came didn't give you a bill and he didn't charge you and let's look at the damage again. He said what damage there was nothing wrong the brake lines were fine. I said the other damage (2nd time pointing it out) he says well then brake lines aren't damaged, you messed up the undercarriage panel, look to the right they put the lift correct, look to the left they messed up. I said I'm spent 7.5 hours here, the manager says sorryx I said sorry? I don't want to hear sorry, I came for a small job that sucked my day up, I came to see my sister who just had a baby and sorry doesn't cut it. He then gave me back the car and I would stand infront of that place with a sign if I could. Don't go there.. the manager is a joke and they should check part numbers on parts. I needed my tires replaced on my vehicle and the dealership quoted me a very high cost. When I went to mitis and got a quote, the price was hundreds of dollars cheaper. They were fast and efficient and gave me a good deal. On top of that it was customer appreciation day when I arrived and they had a full Buffay of subway sandwiches and they even had a baby bottle pops. Just horrible,, always get a second opinion before letting these guys touch your car. The mechanics who work here do fantastic work just make sure they are only fixing what needs fixed.. Visit 1. My car wasn't shifting, they take it for a drive and state they hooked it up to a computer and that my transmission was 100% shot and tried to charge me several thousand dollars to fix it...wrong Second opinion Firestone= bad speed controll less than $100 to fix...Right!! I went in to get a simple oil change no issues with my car as the worker confirmed when he gave the keys back. ! got about 15 minutes away my car was smoking I figured the guy spilled oil while servicing. i called they were closed . I get home the next day white smoke coming out my exhaust front of my car and oil in my drive . Holiday weekend closed i will be there at 8am hopefully I don't blow my motor i may just have it towed on a positive note the manager at the counter was pleasant when I arrived for my oil change and they got me right in. I took my truck in to get an oil change. It was not leaking oil, I never had to add oil, no oil pressure drop, no idiot light. The technician used a drill to remove the drain plug. He had the drill on forward and stripped out the plug. Then he lied about it and said the screw just fell out by hand. He said the previous shop caused the damage. They wanted me to pay for a new oil pan. I said no I'll get it fixed somewhere else knowing they'd messed up my truck. They owe me 400 bucks for the repairs. I spoke to the regional manager which he reiterated the lie. Mr. Regional manager how was there still oil in my truck if the damage was already done. Why didn't my truck blow up? Took my van here to get my headlight fixed, when i picked it up smoke was coming from the engine because they didnt put the bulb back in even & upon trying to see where the smoke was coming from i realized they broke my hood hinge somehow. The next day I brought it back to them and watched mechanics pry a screw driver back and forth trying to fix the hinge. They ended up doing 1,500 in damage to the paint. This was the only place I brought my cars for years but after being sent for 2 estimates & being assured midas would pay for the damages, they didn't. Asked them if my 2 year old vehicle with 20000 miles would be under warranty for a warning light that was coming in. Bring it in and we'll let you know they said. So I did, they said it wasn't covered. So I said I'll get it fixed later, and they said you'll have to pay 175 for the service call or pay the 500 to get fixed. I got it fixed, paid 500. Now less than 100 miles later, a different light is coming on which is related to same harness they "repaired". They said "sure will look at it, but that will cost another 175, do you think we work for free". His exact words. Horrible service department. read more

I have been going there for years, not anymore! They sent me a 20.00 oil change and tire rotation advertisement. Then proceeded to tell me that my car requires full synthetic oil at a cost of 75.00. I actually took my owners manual, and showed the recommendations for conventional oil. They told me my book was wrong! Really...I suggest you take your car anywhere else but here! Would you trust this Midas if you know that they rotate 2 brand new front driving tires? It happens to my wife's car. Would you trust this Midas if they charged 40 $ for balancing without a balancing report? Initial plan was to change oil and we ended up paying 104.5$. This is a great Midas shop. The people here are friendly and reliable. They have given me options when I didn't have enough money to pay for something and put the repairs in "order of importance" for me so that I can plan ahead to do the service on the next few paydays. They are quick and if you call ahead they will tell you if you can get out in under an hour for an oil change (and or suggest a different time (usually later the same day) if they are very busy. Unfortunately, Midas failed to fix the brakes on our car, or rather, they did the work but did such a poor job of it that we were forced to find a legitimate mechanic, Jim Gasper, to complete the work. The Midas garage used to do much better work. Too bad. read more

So I came to Midas because they had a much lower price on oil changes than places in Canfield (where I live) did. I called and they said it would take 35 minutes...this seemed long for just an oil change, but reasonable. I arrive to find my wait time changed to 45 minutes. I was upset, but still willing to wait. Then an hour later I ask how much longer it will be and they said "oh we meant 45 minutes till we start on your car". Not only is the initial information misleading, but I would have left if I knew it would be that long. Now an hour and a half later I am still sitting her waiting for a basic oil change while I can see workers moving at an extremely slow pace and some sitting around doing nothing. To top it off when I went to the desk to ask a question no one came to help me even after standing there for ten minutes. I had to call there phone and ask them to come out to me. I was sitting in lobby talking with another couple at the Midas on Market Street in Youngstown, OH. The other customer was saying that you had to watch mechanics to make sure they're doing things correctly. I relayed my brake situation to him-how this was my fourth time back IN THE SAME MONTH for the same problem - grinding and squealing. The service writer came out to the lobby and called me back. He took me to my car and IN FRONT OF TECHS WORKING ON MY CAR - he reprimanded me stating that I was talking negatively in the lobby and wasn't appreciated. I was to stop! "Some times we get faulty parts. It is not our fault." "We've been MORE THAN PATIENT with you." YOU'VE GOT TO BE SERIOUS! Let me see, four now five times back for the SAME problem - each time I'm told it was fixed. They've been patient with me! Give me a break. I told them this was the USA, and I have freedom of speech to talk anywhere I wanted. These guys are jerks! The regional manager was there and told the service writer that this was unacceptable (as I overheard the conversation). The question is Midas - nice to know you're spying on your customers in the lobby as no one was physically there. I'm going to FOX News and the local press about this. For a returning customer who spends $300-$500 at a time, you treat people like trash. No wonder the horrible reviews.
