Be Leery of this dealer! They sell you a 120,000 bumper to bumper warranty on a brand new Accord Touring hybrid. Nothing to worry about, right? Think again! I have bought 3 new Hondas in the last two years from this dealer. It's like pulling teeth to get them to do warranty repairs in general. Service is a nightmare. My Accord (2023) has rust on both rear doors inside the seals. They denied my 5 years unlimited milage rust claim. They could care less and send you on your way. I have been back and forth with corporate for over two weeks, stonewalling, gaslighting, endless transfers from department to department. $2,000 a month in Honda payments, not exactly the $2,000 a month treatment! Now I pursue Arbitration and a possible lawsuit. The mask falls off and you can see what this truly is, taking your money with a smile on their face and then turning their back on you. S-H-A-M-E. Had car in for service. Told my girlfriend she needed a new cabin air filter, that it was filthy. She said" my boyfriend will do it". They put the filter back in with leaves in it...all they had to do was tap it on the floor. I got home, bumped it on the garage floor and it was fine. The car is 6 months old..come on. I bought a brand new 2021 Honda Ridgeline from Apostolakis Honda this past weekend and it was the easiest experience ever. I've been looking for a new vehicle for a couple of months now and settled on the 2021 Honda Ridgeline. I don't know who loves taking their car to get serviced but, for me, I just don't like it. After a couple bad experiences over the course of my life, I just really dread taking my car anywhere and stick to the few places that I trust to handle various maintenance. It came time for an oil change and I was far away from the regular place I visit so my dad recommended Apostolakis. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by one of the friendly ladies at the drive thru and I immediately felt comfortable like my baby would be in good hands. They do a synthetic oil change here for $29.95 and have the audacity to throw in a car wash too! You want to make sure you call to make an appointment first because they're busy and now I truly understand why. I drove from Youngstown State University to get this done because I was told the service was good. I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, when I was told that the part that they thought they had they didn't, and I would have to come back the next day. Unfortunately my interaction with the dealership did not result in a pleasant experience. I will say up front that the salesperson Travis was very friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to put things together for me. The sales manager Jason was, in my opinion, short and curt and dismissive once he determined they were not going to be able to work with me on a car purchase. Regarding the moving parts - I have been looking nationwide for a specific car/model since not being able to find what I wanted locally here in Texas. I found a car at their dealership, spoke with Travis at length over a couple of days, and agreed to the quote they sent me for the purchase. I provided a copy of my pre-approval from my federally insured (NCUA) credit union and willingness to move forward on the purchase. The owner (whom I never spoke to) was not willing to conduct business with an out of state buyer - who was willing to purchase the car and pay to ship the vehicle - in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. Jason the manager informed me - curtly - that the owner was not available to speak with and that the only way they would sell me the car was if I flew out to sign papers in person. In 2020 this is ridiculous. I offered to provide all of my identification, get a local POA in Ohio if necessary, do a remote closing at my Credit Union with a Notary, etc... Nothing was acceptable to them. They have pretty great reviews online which is one of the main reasons I was willing to purchase "sight unseen" and move forward on the car. Out of boardman, hermitage and this honda, apostolakis cortland is possibly the worst dealership to deal with. Went in for a censor being triggered. Told me when i got there, there would be no charge because its covered through my lease, well they not only lied about that but charged me 50.00 to reset the sensor. It was such a joke. Then it gets even worse as im checking out the lady in charge of checking me in etc tells me i will get an email notification with a survey to take and she said " dont take your problem out on me" its a survey about my service. Well excuse me she just earned all zeros in customer service. I have two more years with honda and i can honestly say due to their poor customer service i will not lease a car from honda again. And its sad because ive never been late on a payment and have above average credit. read more

Bought our 2017 Honda hrv from one of the younger salesman, I think his name was zach Duval I think (we bought it in June 2017). We've had our vehicle serviced there as well for all maintenance. Our sales experience was one of the best and least painful experiences I have had purchasing a car. The finance manager is where they try to add on stuff so be wary, but otherwise it was great. I did get the extended care service as we drive ALOT. Our experience with the service department has been great as well. Prices are comparable to even Walmart service, with much better quality. The waiting area, especially the kids area could use some more toys and possibly a clear or half door to corral the kiddos and a chair that an adult could sit in too so that the parent doesn't have to sit on the floor, but they always have fresh donuts and coffee. Plus the vending machines take credit/debit cards which is convenient because I never carry cash! read more

I Had Several Issues With My 2017 Honda Accord That I Purchased Brand New From This Dealership. I Had Problems With My Headlight, Collision Assist, Rear Wheel Bearing, Battery, And My Tire That Was Chewed Up From The Ball Bearing. I Contacted Apostolakis Honda And Sherri (Shop Manager) Answered The Phone. She Had A Very Negative Attitude On The Phone. We Setup An Appointment With Her. Whenever We Brought In The Vehicle She Still Maintained That Negative Attitude The Entire Visit. Anything I Would Say She Would Interrupt Me And State "That's Not The Problem" And Continue To Type Her Notes. The Issue With My Collision Assist Was Never Diagnosed As She Didn't Include Them In Her Notes. We Had To Contact Three Different Employees From This Location To See What The Extended Warranty Covered. We Talked To Someone Who Finally Ordered Us A Booklet That Goes OVer Warranty Coverage. (Didn't Recieve As Of Yet). She Fought With Us About A Honda Battery That SHould Have Been Warrantied As It Was In The Vehicle 29 Months Before It Went Bad. When The Battery Its Self States It Has A 100 Month Warranty. She Does Not Support A Positive Image For The Apostolakis Auto Group. This Woman Needs to be Coached Or Fired. Whenever I Would Come To This Location (3 Times); Two Of The Three Times She Was Stuffing Her Face With Food At The Service Center Dropoff.I Requested Several Times For Her Managers Number She Would Dismiss That Request And Keep Talking Until I Demanded Her Managers Number. I Also Requested For Hondas Corporate Number And She Referred Me To The Owners Manual. When I Stated I Would Report All Of This She Told Me "Good Luck". Sure Enough, The issues That I Stated Where Correct And Fixed At My Cost. I Will Be Contacting Honda On These Issues. I Also Won't Purchase Another Vehicle From This Autogroup. read more

- Apostolakis Honda's sales and leasing consultant Cory Hancock offered me the best out-the-door price on a 2016 Honda Fit with CVT automatic transmission blue, black or silver (it ended up being blue) that was far superior to the offers of that of eight other Honda dealers in northeast Ohio. Enough to get me to drive the 73 minutes to finalize the purchase. - Cory was accessible, reachable and responsive. I remember him taking my call nearly if not every time I called, and he responded to my emails with questions within a couple of hours. And he confirmed what was included in the quote. I asked him for a quote on the last Tuesday evening of 2015. He emailed me a price proposal within an hour or two. He answered my questions I had about the quote and vehicle by phone and email throughout Wednesday. And then I arrived at the dealership early Thursday afternoon. - I was not subjected to any high-pressure sales pitches, tricks, surprises or any kind of bait and switch tactic. When I arrived at the dealership, I knew pretty much what I was going to pay for the car, and that's what I paid. Cory was a man of his word on the quote and the fact they had the vehicle. He even applied a discount to the base price of the vehicle rather than to the final price so I could save on tax. I wasn't ever compelled to buy any unwanted options. Gary, the finance guy, did pitch Honda's extended warranty, but when it was clear I wasn't ready to buy it, he didn't push things nor try to sell me any other product. The paperwork and payment went very smoothly especially since I had arranged an unsecured loan with a great rate, so I was able to pay with a check and credit card (up to a limit). - The Fit was in perfect new condition. It had five miles on it right before I test drove it. It handled great and is very fun to drive. Its only issue was the driver's seat didn't support the lower back as well as I would like, so I later got a lumbar support cushion. - Cory was very knowledgeable about the Fit and patiently showed me its major features - steering wheel controls, cruise control, climate control, wipers, power mirrors, power locks, the entertainment system, how to fold down the Magic Seats. He had obviously spent a lot of time studying the vehicle features. I like that he didn't pretend what he didn't know. We both initially couldn't figure out how the rear center passenger seat belt worked, but I figured it out. - Cory graciously spent a lot of time getting the license plates off my old car, which were tough to remove, and getting the rear plate onto my new car. - While he was somewhat firm on the trade-in value for my old car, he did show some flexibility which I appreciated. - Cory allowed me a lot of time to inspect the vehicle and for me to take 40 minutes to make a work call. Otherwise, things would have gone faster. It helped that Cory had emailed me a list of things to bring to the dealership. - Cory checked by email on how things were going with my vehicle a week after my purchase. The dealership sent me the title within 15 days, and Cory arranged for it to send me some minor paperwork I had missing from my file. My Fit has driven great, and I'm genuinely excited to drive it each time, and it looks like a gem in my employer's parking lot. - The bottom line: The staff was friendly. (The sales manager Ralph Gilpin introduced himself to me). They were knowledgeable. Aggressive on price, at least with me. They kept their word. They were specific. They didn't make vague promises like some other dealers did. They didn't play any games. They didn't subject me to a high-pressure sales pitch to try to get me to buy something I didn't want. They were accessible, reachable and promptly responsive. They didn't waste my time. I needed a new car by the end of 2015, and they did what they had to do to make that happen and at an incredible price. I can't guarantee everyone will have the same positive experience I had nor get as good a deal as I did, but if you're looking for a Honda or Mazda vehicle as you get price proposals from area dealers, you should give them a solid chance to win your business. I just cannot say enough about Mike in Sales. He sold my 86 year old mom a HR-V and not only did he personally deliver it, he spent time with her in teaching her how to drive the car and the basics, as she was overwhelmed with the technology. From the moment my sister and mom went to the dealership to test drive the car all the way to the final delivery of the car, this dealership was amazing. Because my sister and myself live in Chicago, we were not able to be there for the final transaction, and Mike assured us he would take care of everything. HE even called us while he was with my mom and reassured us she did well driving, as well as sending us a photo of her with her new car. Honestly, the personal service we got went above and beyond. I have had nothing but issues with the service center at Apostolakis. Went in for oil change and tire rotation one time and went home to receive a call that they did not do the tire rotation, and it was my responsibility because of THEIR mistake to keep track of a tiny business card that had a refund written on it. Went again and was told I needed a filter replaced, would cost $50, I went to store bought filter to find that it was spotless and was trying to be lured into spending more money. Finally my last and final visit, I left the facility after an oil change, tire rotation and flush of my brake fluids and within 15 minutes a low tire pressure sensor came on. 35psi is what the tires should be set to and have been set to since I have owned the car (November 2017), for whatever reason at this visit they decided to lower the tire pressure to 30psi, ultimately having to fix the issue myself when I arrived home. I believe that this service center is a scam and they try to milk you for every time you visit. However when I purchased the vehicle, the sales rep was AMAZING and quick! But the service center I would not recommend to anyone, I would rather take my vehicle to Walmart. read more
