I called earlier in the afternoon inquiring about tire replacement, and on the phone they were very personable and invited me down to check out what we could do. I came in a few hours later and they immediately remembered our conversation and we were on the mission! Within minutes she had a diagnosis on my shot tire as well as new tire quote ready (used were all out of stock) and I was in queue for instal! I was in town for the day from a couple hours away, and picked up road debris which punctured the tread of a tire on my new car. Called Elmo's, determined that they repair tires right (patch from the inside), and asked if they could help me out in a pinch. They said to bring the tire in. Within 30 minutes, the tire was repaired, the pressure checked on all 5 tires (including spare), the spare put back, and I was on my way, all for a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and they managed to *not* scratch my painted wheel. From the customers shuffling in and out during my wait, it Elmo's appears to have a loyal customer base. I was referred to this business, by a co-worker, after a terrible experience with another local tire shop. The other business had charged me for an alignment which they obviously DID NOT perform, and also had sold me different size tires over the course of a couple years. Needless to say, I was beyond irritated with the way those folks did business, and after expressing that, my co-worker told me that Elmo's was the only area shop he would trust to do an alignment on his vehicle. As he's a "car guy", I took that as solid advice, and made an appointment. At that appointment, the technician took me back to show me the status of my vehicle on the screen, as compared to what should be expected. Based upon that, it became clear that the previous shop hadn't done a thing but scammed me. My previous car was "troublesome", to say the least, but now that I have a different (older yet more reliable) vehicle, this shop has proven itself to be INVALUABLE time and time again! They are just fantastic people, who are genuinely interested in helping their customers. They are honest and keep their word and I would recommend them to anyone who needs any tire service. i bought tires from them 2 years ago they had a 60,000 miles warranty on them.so I bought them well I need new tires after 20,000 miles so i went to Elmos and showed them my receipt and proof that i had my tires rotated every six months and he said your car wears them out ( my cars a 2005 Neon) what do u want me to do about it. i told him that they should last at least until 50000 miles and he got attitude and said there was nothing he would do and walked away.I will never go there again read more
