went for an oil change and I asked what it would cost to fix a tire sensor and he said " I don't know, prob 20.00" . So after they check my car and tell me everything it needs I said ok do it. when I looked at my bill later the charge to "relearn" the sensor was 20.00 but to FIX the tire pressure monitoring system was 59.99 for parts, 70.00 for labor, plus the 20.00 to relearn. so I was misled. Horrible scare tactics . Sent my 18 year old in for a oil change and they had ever associate act like they were just getting coffee and start telling her how dangerous her car was. They told her she shouldn't drive home at all.Several team members walked in running the same scam.BEWARE of these people.I work on cars and didn't have time to change the oil,so I sent her here with a coupon. The wanted to change the: Front brakes & rotors $297.97 Front Struts $735.98 Back Struts $553.58 Replace brake line $176.00 Replace Left Tie-rod $139.19 Total Cost she should pay to drive her car home safely $2,078.00 The truth is one rotor is warped a little.Not really a big deal.Brakes were fine. Struts are decent,some rust but not broken or in need of a changing. Brake lines are rusty on most cars,no real need to starting changing unless you have a leak. The left Tie-rod is a bit loose but not to the point of some emergency.It will get done in a few months. I recommend you take your cars elsewhere because these folks didn't even bother to rotate the tires, which was part of my package.They were too busy trying to scare money out of a college kid. read more

I took my wifes 2016 Chevy trax into this garage and asked them to find and fix a sqeaking noise sometime when she applied the brakes. Told them that there was a new rotor and a couple of sets of brake pads in the back of the vehicle! Later in the day I got a call from them saying it was on the lift and it would cost 700$ to fix because somebody had put the brake pads on the wrong order. All they had to do is flip the brake pads around and then it would have stopped making noise, w is what I asked them to do. Not try and make 700$ on me, I was recently unemployed and I asked the guy at the front desk if they were hiring and he's lucky not have got knocked out! Very rude remarked " not if you are the one who did these brakes " my wife said I thought you was going to beat his a--! I build trucks for a very profitable living and this is why you have a 1star rating. read more

I don't like writing bad reviews....actually this is my first. I have taken my VW here for over 3 years now for regular (synthetic) oil changes/maintenance etc... Every visit is a long one. My last oil change took 3 hours....even though I had made an appointment and they had worked on my car before. Next trip here was frustrating although I will say they were generous enough to assist me in getting a rental car because they had mine for over a week. They kept receiving the wrong parts and had to make trips to the VW dealership. A couple months later my oil light came on and I decided to have them look at it since they were the last to work on my car and they had replaced my oil pan. After 2 hours the gentleman comes out and explains that they had to order parts because the sensor was bad and they'd give me an estimate...without even consulting me. I decided that I didn't want them to do the work, so I left. I understand these guys are mechanics...but I think it would be helpful to get some customer service/customer curtesy training and not just for the employee at the front desk. I never asked for anything for free and I appreciate the work that has been done but I most likely will not be a returning customer. I think it'll be in my best interest to go straight to the dealership...and I suggest if you have a foreign car you do the same or go to someone you trust. read more

I did not have any appointment. My check engine light was flashing and I needed the repairs done that day. The Austintown Midas was extremely busy, but they still worked me in. So I started my journey day one I went in to get my oil changed ,my brakes looked at and four new tires . I had made an appointment and was there for 4 and 1/2 hours the first day . Wasn't they greatest waiting with two boys ages 5 and 6 , but I waited and left after paying 1400 ,Believing everything was done probably . Then I start my day off as usual call a babysitter I have a babysitter come and head to Cleveland for work Well as I was on the turnpike I started losing tire pressure fast I lost complete pressure three times had to get help .I called Midas and they pretty much blew me off saying that I must have ran over a nail or something .I told them it's pretty much impossible but I'll be in ,I think they did something. So after getting air in my tire three times in order to get back to Midas. I get there and didn't want to leave my car because I no longer trust these people . I stood right by my car as they worked on it they found out that they broke two valve stems while they put the new tires on yesterday. They did replace the valve stems but I told them I'm not satisfied and not happy with this I missed out on work which is about a $300 night I had to pay for a babysitter so I'm out that money all because he didn't take time to check my tires the day before. how am I supposed to trust that anything done on my car was done properly if they didn't properly put the tires on and checked to make sure that they were put on properly without breaking anything. So I called customer service and it's been over a month. Finally it seemed like they were going to help me and the gentleman that finally reached out told me pretty much that I should be grateful for the fact that they fix those valve stems because they don't carry those valve stems in that store and I said you really expecting me to be grateful that you fix something that you broke that shouldnt have been broken the first time. He kept being very rude. So as I promised I will be writing a review every day and my story about this Midas they left me in tears I lost over $300. I've been going to midas for years and have always been satisfied with their work on any on my vehicles! I highly recommend them to anyone!

Went here to get an inspection done. An employee comes out, I think the manager on duty at the time, and tells me he found all these problems. Few hours go by and he prints up a work order stating everything that needs to be done in order to get me 100%. In a nutshell, it was near $3000.00 in parts and labor. I drove home and went online. Found all the parts I needed for less than $400.00. If you go here, be ready to have your wallet drained. Do not trust those snakes, they are two faced. read more
