I am extremely frustrated with the experience we have had at Midas. My husband has taken his work truck there three separate times for the same issue, and the problem still has not been addressed. The first time, we were told the repair had been completed. However, it was obvious that nothing had been fixed or even touched, yet the insurance claim was processed and paid. After my husband called to explain that the issue remained exactly the same, he was asked to bring the truck back. The second time, they kept the vehicle for an entire week and still never got around to working on it. Most recently, we were assured that if we brought the truck back, it would be repaired and ready for pickup today. My husband called ahead and was told the truck was fixed and ready. However, when I arrived to pick up the keys, we were then informed that they had not actually gotten to it at all. This truck is used for work, and having it tied up for weeks with repeated promises and no repairs has been incredibly inconvenient and disappointing. We understand that delays can happen, but being told a vehicle is repaired when it has not even been worked on is unacceptable. We expected honesty, communication, and professionalism, and unfortunately, our experience has been the complete opposite. I would not recommend this location based on our experience. read more

I attempted to use the online platform to schedule an appointment. My brakes were making a funny noise. I was told I would get a call back within and hour, no one called, so 3 hours later, I called the store to schedule my appointment. I was told that my brakes pads and rotors were bad and needed to have full brake pads and rotors replaced, to the tune of $1500.00. I canceled the appointment because we just had full brakes done less than 2 years prior. I brought the car to a reputable dealer and they did the work, which only needed front pads, on one side only, and that the rotors and other pads were fine. I saved myself a huge unnecessary cost and believe I was pressured into the service because I'm " a woman who knows nothing about cars". I will never recommend anyone to go to this store for any kind of repairs. read more

Came to them with a muffler job, which they claim to do. One worker took 30 seconds to look at my muffler that I wanted to replace my stock muffler with and he told me it wasn't possible to install it (even though I have pictures of this exact swap being done on my exact car and I told him that). This is after I made an appointment the day before and waited over a half hour before being helped during my appointment time. I took my muffler to a real shop and they had it swapped within hours. Don't go to these guys for anything other than tires, even then I wouldn't trust them as they're probably just playing on their phones again instead of working on your car. read more

This Midas isn't your common auto repair chain shop. The store manager Andrew went above and beyond to assist me with my vehicle and assisted me with my car when I was having difficulty figuring out how to pay for the much needed repairs I knew my car needed. They have been prompt and effective at diagnosing what my car's issues were and have always made me like I was a priority customer to them since the first day I started going to them for service. Their prices are better than what other places have asked for and they tell you exactly what your car needs, I didn't feel like I was being taken for a joy ride here as I've experienced with other shops. Purge valve has gone out again after replacing it 3 times at this shop. My third time going, had a misfire and they immediately decided to change the fuel injectors. Which is the one of the more expensive solutions for this problem. But whatever caused the misfire happened to ruin the new fuel injectors. Good thing I have an extended warranty because this would have costed over $10,000 to fix with everything that has been done to the car so far and all the Ubers I had to pay for getting to work (because it shouldn't take over a month to figure out what the problem is). All the advice I got so far was "your car needs to use 93 octane" but it's a chevi! American cars shouldn't have this many problems using 87 octane. I'd understand if it were a Mercedes but Chevi? Even after taking their word for it and putting 93 octane in, the purge has thrown another code. I'll maybe come back for brake pad replacements because they were very friendly. However, I don't think they ever actually found out what was wrong with the car so I'm just going to get a diagnosis from the chevi dealership at this point. Very disappointed. read more

I broke down Saturday after they closed so I towed the truck to the shop for them to work on Monday. Monday morning comes around I call them to explain the issues I'm having, they diagnose the truck and tell me it's the fuel pump. They did a great job getting a new fuel pump in and changing it. I went to pick the truck up Monday and my gas gauge no longer worked. They told me it was "normal" and tried to send me on my way. I insisted it worked before I brought the truck to them and they changed the story to " well that is strange, we will take a look". 4 days later they tell me the old fuel pump shorted my fuel gauge and that they were trying to find one. After renting a rental car for 7 days out of my pocket I decided to just fix the problem myself. To top it all off I took the truck to the gas station to fill up and they left the hose to my gas tank disconnected after they dropped the tank, so gas spilled everywhere. I visited Midas late this afternoon for an oil change to utilize a gift certificate I received for donating blood earlier this month. I attempted to use the online appointment system yesterday; however, I only received an alert stating my request was received. Additionally, the email informed me to expect a follow-up email in 30 minutes confirming the appointment time. Unfortunately, this never occurred but all is well that ends well. I pulled up to the bay around 4:30 PM and explained the online scheduling complexity. I then asked the same gentleman if an oil change was feasible. He responded yes and suggested I hurry inside to avoid anyone beating me to the chase. Andre was the cashier who assisted me and he was extremely pleasant. I waited approximately 45 minutes and the waiting room was clean and uncluttered. The signage is well done and offers the pricing for services as well as available finance options. Complimentary coffee is available for patrons too. The checkout process was effortless. The invoice is very basic and doesn't list many specifics regarding the car's health, but there was no up-selling. I will definitely return to this location for future oil changes and applicable services. read more

Watch out for these guys. Every single bill I heard being quoted was in the 100's. I brought my car for what I thought was a brake adjustment, and instead of having the car on the lift and inspecting it, the guy drove it 20 feet and diagnosed as control arms, to a astonishing cost of 1300 plus . When you say forget it, they provide you with a bunch of easy finance apps they are associated with and most like me, wind up signing up with them and doing the job. Shady at best. Mark my words, nothing on this place is reasonable. Hundreds or thousands dollars is what their average jobs go for. Watch out. read more

I stopped in to find out how much to change rotors and break pads. Tbey gave me a price and I knew price was high so i told them so. all the sudden I gets discounts, financing available. when I told them the dealership was about the same (didn't have it with me) and was told there's no way they will change rotors, they'll just cut them. Then was told free pads for life. what I do I know about pads! I should have left and confirmed the dealership price but I didn't. Plus was told I would be out in 90 mins, 2 guys will work on it. Well, not even close. Turns out the dealership price was less so I definitely felt I was taken advantage of and will never set foot back in there, even for the free pads that they wouldn't give it to me in writing. I had a terrible experience at Midas , Lake Worth Florida Shop. Supervisor and or technicians gave me an estimate for 2 speed sensors needing replacement nothing else and after paying $532 they told me the abs light is still on the abs module is bad which means the 2 speed sensors was not the issue and the store did not credit me the sensors, Did not replace my module gave me back my car in the same state it was with an ABS light and lost $532 which they stole from me if you want to think of it that way. I am tired of mechanics robbing innocent customers with false diagnosis. People have to sense of honesty and integrity anymore . read more

I explained I was not going to pay for a service that was not completed. He basic called me dishonest saying what if you do not show up. I guarantee you that if that was to happen he could return the part. Rude service. Does not sound reputable. I would not go here nor will I ever visit a midas. Most buissness put someone at customer service who at least trys to act like they care about your service requests. Not some burned out person who does not give a crap. read more

This is our go to place. Adam is wonderful. They don't try to up sell you when you don't need something. They gov you your options in terms of cheaper, better and long lasting and let you make a decision. They also give a good safety check and give you a heads up for what you need to do next time so you're (financially) prepared instead of having a big bill out of nowhere. Great place to come. I always feels safe coming here. At other places I feel like I'm taken advantage off. They also have frequent sales and always give you a heads up. I brought our Really Bad Rum van into this Midas location for an alignment. Let me first say that we keep this vehicle up to date with all scheduled matiance. But first lets back up... I had the van aligned at a location in MA. In August 2022 I was told then that everything was good except that the driver's side rear wheel remained out of alignment by .20 degrees tow and .45 degrees camber. And because it had a strait axel that it would need to have a shim installed which they could not get. And they gave me a fancy wheel alignment print out showing the before and after results which showed all 4 wheels before and after the alignment and them not being able to get the parts to fix it and my schedule needing to be in FL. I hit the road... Once in FL. I went to one Midas shop where the guy was rather rude and said they wouldn't touch the job. Another place (Not a Midas) wanted $145 bucks just to look at it. So, I called this Midas shop in West Palm Beach at 2253 N. Military Trail. Andrew was the manager that worked with me. After telling him about the shim I was told it needed he said "Bring it in and we'll take a look at it... The next day & after they got the van up on the lift Andrew asked me to come out to the garage bay because he wanted to show me some other issues the mechanic had found... where he points out that I have a broken left rear shock, a right front strut leaking, a broken motor mount, and there is no evidence of the last place even doing an alignment and we don't think this rear wheel needs a shim as all & you're going to need new tires. I said really? Is the motor mount being broken why when I go into reverse I 'm getting a strange noise"? he said "yes watch this and when he rotated the front wheel as if it went in reverse the entire motor literally moved and was hitting some other part which was the sound, I was probably hearing before I had even brought it to the other place in MA. I asked him "why do you think the last place missed all this"? He asked me "where did you bring it in MA because I was a regional rep in MA. for a chain of Midas store for a number of years until just recently". Well, I won't go any further with where that discussion went but it was really good! So, I said "Andrew, once all this work is done the van will drive straight down the road correct?" His response was "Absolutely!" I said "then get it done". We made the appointment for a few days away. I dropped it off and met the owner Ron Katz who was pleasure to have a conversation with and a really nice guy as well as being a local business owner that goes out of his way to give back to & help the community! Later that day I got a call at 3:30 pm from Andrew telling me it was done. I picked it up and the van drove straight down the road as if it were new! Finding a car service provider that you genuinely trust in is, in my opinion, one of the hardest things to do no matter where you are. I can say with all confidence that these guys are the best team that I have ever had work on my cars. Picture this, you bring in your car because the brakes squeak mildly in the morning and then the sound goes away after a little driving. Most brake service places will tell you, "yeah, you need new brakes." No matter the actual condition of your brakes. I came in with this same exact scenario at this location, and guess what? These guys told me I had at least another 6 months on my brakes. The squeak I heard was more of a manufacturer detail that did not mean I needed new brakes. I wanted to praise the Midas West Palm Beach shop for being so honest, a rarity among automechanics, because of my experience with them which made me a loyal customer. Today was no different, I was driving my wife's car, a Toyota Prius 2018 and all of a sudden the tire warning light starts blinking, it happened just in front of a Pep Boys store, so I went in, they do not take walk ins, so I thought, I'm going to my favorite place, the Midas store in Military, WPB. Got there, they always treat you nicely, have free drinks for those who wait, coffee, water, coke and even chocolates, they provide charging cables for your phone, but the main thing is, after about a 45 minute wait as I had no appointments, they came out and told me that they had checked the 4 tires, all were fine, no nails or anyting, the light went on because they were all a little out of air, so they took care of that and also they tightened/reattached a splash guard that was loose. I asked how much? Answer, no charge. The person in charge said air is free and they wouldn't want to charge me just to use a couple of zip ties to secure my splash guard. I call this honesty, some shops I know would have either tried to sell you a tire or charge you 80 bucks for labor. It is commendable in this day an age to have people that are honest and do not try to exploit those of us who are not handy with mechanic work. Kudos to Midas WPB and as always I will be back whenever I need any type of service. read more

BEST PLACE! They are so honest! I came in thinking my catalytic converter was going out due to the rattling sound. I was expecting an $800 job. Most places would have gladly taken up the opportunity. It ended up being a loose heat shield underneath so I didn't get charged a big bill. So their tire prices couldn't beat Walmart prices, but Curt's amazing customer service got me back in for brakes. I know I didn't get more than just what I needed. And he made sure I got the best deals. I won't go anywhere else now. I have complete trust I'll get good service for the best price! We all have bad days, but when you're dealing with the public you've got to put on big smile, be friendly and earn their trust--especially new customers because we don't get a second chance to make a first impression. As a potentially new customer (read: source of income & possible referrals), I recently had an interaction at this Midas Muffler that was very discouraging: the attendant, an older guy with a full head of white hair, was unfriendly, either not listening or hard of hearing and so curt with his answers that it bordered on condescension. There are too many brake/muffler stores around for customers, or potential customers to be subject to this type of behavior. I strongly suggest you avoid this particular Midas Muffler. dlc read more

Yesterday, while driving to West Palm Beach from Fort Lauderdale, my car starting leaking oil. I took my car to Midas of West Palm Beach and Adam Hamill took my car, diagnosed it, and informed me that the oil leak was due to a technician error during the last time the oil was changed in my car, He explained that the technician did not properly install the oil filter. The car had lost two quarts of oil and had I not taken the car in for evaluation when I did, the engine would have been destroyed. Adam Hamill had the filter replaced and also filled the car with two quarts of oil. I was expecting to pay at least $100 for the services. I asked him how much the damages were and he told me it was on the house because the cost to replace the filter and the oil was minimal. I insisted to pay for the labor and he responded by saying "I am not that type of guy." He didn't charge me a thing. I cannot speak enough great things about how honest Adam Hamill was. He could have told me there were other problems with my car and charged me an arm and leg, but he didn't. He was honest and you cannot put a price on that. Since he was so honest and dependable, I will recommend him and Midas of West Palm Beach to all of my friends. TERRIBLE!!! We had our car tires changed with alignment. After payment, we received the car with the passenger window rolled down that never worked anymore. We asked them to fix it or at least rolled it back-up. They said it was not their fault, and it was our fault not to notify them to not touch it.
