Extremely dishonest mechanics! I had my secretary drop my truck off for a simple inspection, and after three hours they give it back to me with 10,000 times more problems than I have ever has before. All of a sudden my blinkers that we're working just fine aren't working anymore? How is that even possible after spending three hours in the hands of a mechanic? Four hours and $200 to install a muffler that I could of done in my garage if my truck still fit, I'll never set foot in another Midas as long as I live, it was supposed to cost $104.50, then they call me up to say it's gonna cost 200 because it needed some custom piping too, just got here, and thankfully I'm a nice guy, because that "custom piping" is 8 inches of straight pipe welded to the muffler.. I have had my oil changed here many times, as well as other maintenance done here. The manager(s) as well as mechanics are very professional and honest and I would highly recommend their work. They were able to complete the work in a timely manner and the prices are well under what I would have paid if I had taken my car to the dealership for service, so with that being said I will continue bringing my vehicle here. read more

Went here for new tires at 11 am, I had an appointment for 11. Didn't leave until 1:30. Way too long. Then, my "60$ tire rebate" came in the form of a card that took 1 month to expire and not get used. Watch some NASCAR, tell me if tires should take 2 1/2 hours to change. read more

First few times I went for oil changes, I was pleased. The most recent time sent me back there 5 times in ONE MONTH!!!! I got my oil change and white smoked kept coming out from my hood. I called and they said it was the excess oil burning off. 24 hours later it was still happening. They were very kind and asked me to come back in. They said there was a leak in the cap. So they replaced it. I made it halfway home and my car was shaking and smoking again. I turned around and even though they were closing up, they agreed to take a look (how nice) Turns out i had a whole part cracked down the front and they had to order the part. I managed three days waiting, driving very very very careful to and from providence to work bcs they sealed the crack with an apoxy. Then they replaced the part and my engine light stayed on. It's still on to this day. Then my brakes went ( i have had this happen multiple times in the past on different cars) It was making an awful grinding noise. I brought it in and they quoted me 600 bucks for the full brake job. I couldn't afford it so I had them just replace the blown out parts, I went and took a look myself first. That was quoted as around 450. The part that sucked the worst was that they told me an hour and a half...I WAS THERE FOR 5 HOURSSSSSSSSSSSS they kept telling me 20 minutes more maximum. I was the only customer. I will never ever ever ever go back, my brakes are still grinding. Then my husband went there for a quote on power-steering out of desperation and they quoted him 1500 dollars to repair a leak! The guy down the street told him 100.00 for parts and 100.00 for labor. Don't waste your time. Come next oil change I'll go to a mom and pop. read more

I took my car here a couple months ago and got new brake pads and rotors for the front of my car. I thought that the job was done right because my brakes were not grinding anymore. About three months after I took it to Midas my brakes started grinding again. I took my car to an actual Chevy dealership this time to get looked at. After about an hour the guy at the Chevy dealership comes back and said that who ever did my brake job before completely screwed up. The person at Midas even used a petroleum based lubricant on my brake components which caused the break caliber slides to not be able to move freely. After just three months my brakes were back down to metal scraping metal. I spent $400 for my rotors and brake pads at Midas and then because they screwed up three months later I had to get new rotors, brake pads, and calibers which cost me over $800. I am so disappointed with my service from this Midas location don't take your car here unless you want someone working on your car who has no idea what they are doing. Also I noticed that no manager even checked the technicians work after he was done with my brake job. All and all my experience here was horrible and I will be contacting their corporate office. read more

When I called the store on the phone before bringing my car in I asked for a quote for an oil change (giving the exact year, make and model) because when you get close to christmas money is tight. The man on the phone said 24.99 and to bring it in. After my car was serviced I was charged 72.39!! I asked the gentlemen in charge why this happened, he advised that not all of his staff is educated in the pricing of oil changes and that they made a mistake. I advised the man that a $55 dollar difference is quite the mistake and I should not be held accountable for this bill above the quoted amount. he proceeded to offer me a free oil change, which I declined because I just wanted to be charged the correct price. He said no and that the only way to get my money back would be for him to drain my car and put regular oil in which my car apparently can't run on so he basically offered to damage my car for his staffs mistake. This is HORRIBLE customer service. I just want to be billed what I was quoted and be treated fairly. I feel tricked into getting my oil changed at midas because of the great price I was quoted. read more

Avoid this shady operation. Was quoted a fixed price to replace an oil pan by a senior service tech based on labor and parts cost; a fellow named Al who is the manager later retracted the quoted price and jacked the cost up by close to $100.00: "Aaah, we can't do the originally quoted price like you were told. We don't do that." I tried explaining that I was quoted the price by a a senior associate and this fellow Al simply backed me into a corner rationalizing a $100.00 jack up in the most swindling manner. I then tried to ask questions about the repair and this Manager will either avoid your questions or outright ignore you, pretending to be busy or walking away to his back office. The arrogant, swindling creature apparently lacks common courtesy and decency. read more

I was very disappointed by their service and the manager's attitude, I was the first client, arrived onetime as scheduled, but the inspector was not there at all, not only without any excuses, no greetings, I was requested to wait like a patient waiting for his doctor! I have been a loyal customer of midas since I recieved my license. I have brought every vehicle I've owned and now every vehicle my husband and I own. They have superb customer service, everytime. Even when they are jam packed super busy, all mechanics are working diligently to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner. I recently bought a car through baldhill dodge and had to use their garage for any repairs due to my warranty. I am so thankful the warranty is up, so I can return to midas. I have never had an issue with this shop. Every mechanic has gone above and beyond for me. One time my exhaust was hanging low, one of the brackets broke. One of the mechanics fixed it free of charge, I was so thankful the last time I tried to fix it myself I had burnt myself. I recommend this midas to all my family and friends. I'm currently sitting here now waiting for my brakes to get done. I've been here a total of five minutes and my car is already in the bay and Carlos is already working hard on my car. after spending over $3000 on my 2001 maxima i took my car to have it inspected at this location. it happened to be the first place i saw after class that was a rhode island inspection station. after failing i went to two different mechanics to get quotes on the recommended things that needed to be fixed. both mechanics told me that midas was EXTREMELY nit picky about why they failed me!! one issue midas claimed was the rear struts (which one of my mechanics told me after 10 years in the business it's the first time he has ever heard of someone failing someone for REAR struts, not to mention that mine were not bad at all!), and the other issue was rust on the lower radiator support... another thing that is discretionary for the inspector. now that all of this is "in the system" and sent directly to the dmv i HAVE to have them fixed! i can't help but feel midas simply was trying to get my money to have them fix these issues. i don't expect anyone to overlook anything illegally but why go out of your way to make people's lives more difficult if it's not necessary??? i even told the guy at midas of all the trouble i've been trough with this car! read more
