Great service here! Friendly staff was able to take care of my appointment even when I was running late. I called and let them know and they greeted me by name. Needed new brakes and rotors and the Assistant Manager Robert was working on my car. He took me into the service bay and explained what was going on with the issues and pointed out what I needed to replace and what I should wait on. They have a warehouse nearby so parts came quickly and I was back on the road. They have a 10% military discount so everything helps with how high prices are. I went in for a walk in oil change. They were fast and friendly. They don't feel too pushy, but will make suggestions to improve the longevity of your car. Made an appointment at the Waipahu shop via their website for tomorrow. Called to see if by chance they're able to service my vehicle today. Was informed by a representative, there was no opening today, which is quite understandable. I then mentioned that I made an appointment for tomorrow via their website. Rep response was their website has not been working lately, so was told the next opening would the the 31st of October. Hopefully they will fix this. Had new front struts replaced on my Tacoma PreRunner at Midas Waipahu. After I took my truck for Alignment at a reputable Wheel Alignment shop and was told that my front replacement struts were the wrong front struts. i then looked at the box that the new struts came from and researched the part number and saw that it was for a Basic model Tacoma and not the PreRunner. So I contacted Midas and was suppose to meet with a female manager but instead I got her husband that would not listen to me and said that the box does not indicate the struts that were actually installed And expected me to kneel down and look under the front end to see for myself. Yea right expecting a 60 plus women to kneel down onto the ground who is also handicapped with bad knees. Then he shut down an employee who was just trying to explain what I was trying to say that you don't put a Basic Model strut onto a PreRunner. Anyway this managers husband would not listen and treated me like a useless female Who did not know what she was talking about. And I told him that is why I came to Midas, supposedly the experts . So it ended there with him belittling me, and him the expert. There was no talking to him with any reason, because he was the expert! So now I will have pay out of pocket again for front strut replacement to correct Midas's error in installing the wrong front strut's to my truck to not create future front end issues with my truck. read more

Called to get my shocks replaced and was quoted $400 for BOTH sides. Told them I will call back to schedule an appointment. Come the next day to schedule an appointment and was quoted $450 for EACH side!!! Two totally different prices! Long story short I decided to get my shocks replaced at another shop for a much reasonable price! read more

Yes, I give this location 5 stars and they deserve it. I made the appointment online and received a call bright and early to finalize a time. I arrived, checked in quickly and the car was done within the hour: oil change and tire rotation. Unlike other locations this location has 3 lovely women working the counters and every bay getting cars in and out. This location is a well-oiled machine of efficiency. I always gave a 5, but yesterday I called in the afternoon to verify the day and time of my appointment and the Lady answered the phone and very unprofessional and rude! I can hear her making complain and bad comments on the phone, mind her she did not put me on HOLD!! saying "Why I did not write it down Arghhhh" and "now trying to find her name on the appointment and can't find it" . I said to her I made my appointment last month and talked to a young lady I forget her name and took my number and put me on the appointment. Still, they can't find my name! Such a BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Located in Waipahu on Farrington Hwy, it may be a little hard to see with all the construction in the area, but It's well worth it once you find it. I drove up to have some brake service done. They took me in without an appointment and I can't say enough about the service. They inspected my car, gave me a quote and as soon as I approved, the work was quick and efficient. I was back on the road in less than an hour. The waiting room was nice, plenty of socially distant seating and a tv to keep you entertained. It was a nice organized area. Lisa and Trish provide top notch customer service. Fast, friendly, efficient. Make sure to check online for some money saving coupons. Who doesn't like saving money, right? Called for an estimate to change my brake pads. The girl says hold on and asks someone. She comes back on and asks if im sitting down? I ask why? She goes its going to cost $1200-1600 for brake pads replacement. Unfricken believable. I bought the pads from oreillys for 135.00 and did it myself. You like ripped off go midas. It was very easy to make an appointment for safety inspection at Midas. You need to call for safety inspection appointments. You can buy a coupon ($5 off) on their website for the safety inspection. You'll need to print the receipt after paying for it and bring it with you, along with your other car documents. I'll happily get out of my car knowing I have an appointment. I moved here from the mainland a few weeks ago. When I got my car delivered here I noticed that my car battery was acting up. Thankfully, a friend suggested Midas. I gave them a call, and they told me to come in and get a free battery check. I did a walk-in and was greeted by staff who were friendly and helpful. I've been going here for over 20 years and always leaving as a satisfied customer. Lately, things have gotten so pricey, and the majority of the high cost for any repair is from their labor. People are wonderful and friendly with great customer service. I go to them for almost everything from breaks, oil change, safety check, alignment, etc. Over the years, I used to take our 2 vehicles there 4-5 times a year, but now I spread them out and only visit twice a year bc off cost. I will continue to go there bc I trust their mechanics more but with fewer visits. read more

MIDAS Waipahu is awesome.. I used to work there. Lito, Craig, and the other techs are a good team. You can trust them in knowing their stuff, especially the Head Mechanic Lito, hes Awesome and knows his stuff. If you ever have issues with anything, bring it to them. You can count on them( well, depending on what you want done to your vehicle). If I had another shot in going back to work for them, I would; but honestly, being a mechanic/technician isn't all what it seems, not unless you're really passionate about cars and the automotive industry, then by all means go for it. 7/15/2022 @1530 Needed to get my Safety Inspection done. Came in was greeted by a very happy and energetic lady named Lisa, she told me that there would be an hour wait. She said I could wait or try call back in an hour to see how long the wait is at theat time. So I went home and called back in an hour. Lisa answered and said that it would be a good time to come in. So I returned and was able to get it done in less than 10 minutes. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. Lisa put me in a good mood with her energy. read more

I came here after visiting another oil change spot. The OTHER spot told me it would be 2 HOURS or so to finish my oil change. I don't know about you, but my time is precious. I did not want to wait 2 hours or so. I remembered coming to Midas before, so I decided to just drive by and see what the wait was. To my surprise, they had no wait, and were done with my car in less than 30 minutes. WHOA! Talk about speedy! They asked if I wanted a tire rotation too! If you come, Just walk in! You can call, but I just drove there and got my car serviced. Overall, I paid a reasonable price and I was out in less than 30 minutes. Bad customer service been taking my car to midas in waipahu for years & the one time I get my car serviced got my car back with scratches to my front bumper talk to the manager lito he took pictures he said he was gonna call me in a few days no call I had to call to follow up he said he will set something up to get it fixed no call again 3 weeks later..its so sad when these things happen they don't take responsibility for their mistakes they try to hush it under the rug hopefully we'll forget..it's already hard making a living in Hawaii because of cost of living & they do these things to hard working people..
