Will not be returning sadly. I have been coming to this Midas location for quite sometime and have had no issues till now. I went in for a wheel alignment and a new tire. Brought my car in at 8am and waited the whole day for them to not even call when my car was finished. Called in around 4 to hear them say their wheel alignment machine was not working and that the job could not be performed. Wish I would have been called at noon when the tire was finished so I could have gotten an alignment elsewhere. I was not free for several more days causing the brand new tire to be worn from the can being unaligned. The only reason I got a new tire was because I needed an alignment. The tire on the car still had 2/32 which would be plenty of tread to go another month or so but I figured I'd get a new one while I was there for an alignment. I should have told them to put the old one back on and not give this location another cent. The manager Tyler gave me my coupon back with $64.50 written on the coupon for me to assume that would be the even further discounted price when I returned for the waist of time and my inconvenience. Came back a couple days later to be told they would not honor the coupon as Tyler was not there and that my car had lane assist and that the car cannot be aligned by the machine. My vehicle does not have lane assist as shown in the picture. If my car was not able to be aligned in the first place shouldn't I have been told this when I got the quote when doing my oil change and not coming back 2 more times to not even have this taken care of. Be cautious before bringing your vehicle to the incompetent people of this location. If they don't even know what cars have lane assist expessially one that came out before lane assist was even a thing. How can you trust in their knowledge of your vehicle and the quality of the job they will perform. read more

I waited at their Alexis Road location for 5 hours because needed to get one tire patched, they claimed it was not patchable due to a screw that was in the treads as it was poking out the wall and I would need a new tire. The screw was clearly not poking out the wall as I was still driving on it. Tried their best to get me to buy tires I cannot afford. Then the first place I took my car to next patched it with no problem. Do not waste your time and money on a corporation that's just out to screw ppl over.. Just not worth it.. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change before a trip. During the trip we noticed our oil gauge losing pressure. We checked our oil and had to add oil. I brought my car to our regular mechanic, there was no oil in the car. He checked for an oil leak there was none. My oil sensor went out. There was no smoke that would cause me to believe that my car was bring oil. When I called Midas they refused to admit that they were at fault. Everything that happen points to fact that they didn't put enough oil in my car. I will never take my car back to them. read more

Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off. Went there with an issue I would usually fix on my own but since it was covered under my warranty, I decided to take it in. I've been to this location before for warranty work and brake replacement. Even still I knew they kinda charged too much for parts but like I said, warranty. Bob at the counter called me and said that I would have to come out of pocket because the warranty company would only cover $450 for the factory fuel pump and it cost $595. So i googled the part and right up the street at AutoZone the part was only $330. I had them perform the work as I needed my truck for vacation this weekend and didn't have time to take it anywhere else the next day. While I was at the counter, I showed him the part online and asked him where he was getting his price from. Told me there was a 56% markup on the part and showed me the screen. The part cost them $285 and they marked it up to $595!? I told him the math was wrong on that and I should not have to come out of pocket. He then proceeded to get hostile with me and said that 'if we didn't mark up the part we wouldn't make any money!'. I told him that I would be OK with a 50% markup but that was well over 100%! After acting like he knew math on his calculator (and couldn't figure out how to get 50% of the cost of the part to add to the cost, which would have been $427 which my warranty company said it should be!) he proceeded to tell me 'well that's just what we do'... ...THIS IS NOT OK... I was a loyal customer and I sent many new customers to them over the years. Not anymore. They lost my trust and respect. I do not recommend doing any business with them as they will rip you off just like the next guy. $600 for a fuel pump...even my warranty company told me they have never seen anything like that and said they usually work with the company but in this case, it was unreasonable. read more

Went in there to have some pipe welded on to my exhaust which I was told over the phone would be 60 - 100$ and made and appointment. After waiting an hour later than my appointment I was told they needed to replace my entire exhaust and it would be 250$. I looked the part up on AutoZone and it was 60$. They charge 110$ an hour for labor and they told me the repair would take an hour. That's 170$ job so where did the additional 80$ come from? Go to a mom and pop shop this place will rip you off. read more

They quoted me a price for new tires. I went ahead ordered them and had them installed. After installation I realized they installed the wrong tires and let them know within the hour. They said in order to get the ones that I was quoted it was going to cost me more than I was quoted or I could order them from tire rack myself and they would installed them. Also they wanted $300 to change a headlight because they said the bumper had to come off to install it. Well I change the bulb myself for $120 and didn't have to remove a bumper. I used to take all my cars there now I won't anymore. read more

THEY LIED TO ME! Bob at the counter said I needed a new muffler, cost $289 for a direct fit muffler from the flange back. I asked if he could just cut out and replace the muffler since the pipe was still good. He said no. Not having time I said ok. After almost 2 hour wait (most of the time waiting for the muffler to be delivered) it was done. He apologised for the wait and said he saved me some money, total bill $254. When I got home and looked the old pipe was cut right in front of the muffler and a new muffler welded in. That is not what I was told I was getting, and is a ridiculous price to pay for a muffler I can buy for under $40 and a half hour labor. When I called to complain about being overcharged the manager offered me an oil change. They have lost my business, I don't appreciate being ripped off! read more

For the second time in a row..... Issues with my tires. First time, drop off my Jeep for oil change, 5 tire rotation & tire pressure check (light was on). They call saying all ready. When I pick it up, no 5 tire rotation, so had to pull it back in while I wait. Comes out, tire light still on & they claim it'll reset after driving. Get home only to find 1 tire low on air & I fill it. Second time, go for exact same thing, except this time, I realize the same tire that needed air the first time has very slow leak & I ask that it be repaired. They call, say it's complete & ready for pick up. I was assured everything was addressed. Get home, same tire still low & repair never completed. I call the shop, speak to the manager & he explains that (even though the guy at the front desk put in the computer the wrong tire needing the repair) I signed the work order. Claims technician checked the tire on the work order and found no issue. I guess being a tire shop, it's to much to assume they'd check the others. For context, these are bulging 34" mud tires. The tire in question was bulging more than the others & only had 12 psi. Safe to say with 12 psi one would think it's fairly obvious (without being a mechanic) which one was in need of repair. If they can't take care of menial tasks of tire repair & rotation competently, make me question the quality of their other services. Lesson learned, don't go to Midas. read more

These guys saved the day for me. My SUV said I needed to increase the air in my tires to 36 PSI. I went to Meijer and used their air and it beeped telling me I had filled my tires up to the 36 PSI. But when I started my vehicle it didn't fill the tires up it let air out. I had no idea that the air machine was not working. Since it was Sunday afternoon, I didn't have anywhere to go. I stopped in to Midas on Alexis Road at 7:45am the next morning and asked them if they could help me and they took my vehicle in right then and filled the tires up, at no charge. They were wonderful to work with and very friendly. That's where I'll be taking my vehicle from now on for maintenance and repairs. Often the mechanics have gone over and beyond in their efforts to repair my cars. Bob and his team just stayed two hours past close, just to finish putting a new control arm and ball joint on my Avalon so I could use it the next morning to get to work.
