They don't do the work that you brought your car in properly, because they're busy telling you that you need other work. They talk over you. They mansplain. I have been bringing my Hyundai here for a few years. I brought it in the first time to get a second opinion. The manager told me that I was being told I needed a bunch of unnecessary work. He did an oil change and checked my car over to get ready for a trip. Since then I go in for regular oil changes. I have also stopped in to ask questions, have my tire pressure checked and have help with other miscellaneous things a man and many women would probably do themselves. That's just not me. SCAM ARTISTS BEWARE my wife went in today with her 2 year old car with almost no miles on it for a simple oil change,manager matt told her she needed a bunch of repairs that i know she did not need,when she told him no,he said they were safety issues,Since when is an air filter a safety issue, also charged her for the most expensive oil they sell, he also charged her for rotating and balancing 4 tires, funny thing is i just had thoose tires installed mounted and balanced 40 miles ago,i called manager matt and he refuzes to deal with me,i also cant get a response from harry the district manager read more

This store deserves zero stars. I stopped in this morning for an oil change and Todd is at a new location now. The new manager Matt lies to my face telling me the car required full synthetic ($$$ most expensive) oil. Having worked in the industry for years and also having read my owners manual I knew this was not true. I told him they would not be touching my car because I did not trust them. I will never go back to this store again. People if you work on cars just be honest with your customers. A little extra money now isn't worth the reputation damage and loss of future income. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely unprofessional and rude. I made an appointment a week prior to put snow tires onto my vehicle, the day of the appointment I go to check my car in and was told no one can help me today. So what's the point of an appointment if you can't keep it?? I understand it gets busy if that's the case call and reschedule with clients that have appointments that day. These guys are so polite and efficient and reliable. They are a pleasure to deal with. Have been there twice now for some routine service and honestly I'm not even afraid if something were to go wrong with my car--I feel like I've found a place I can trust and feel good about. This midas location is the worst shop I have ever been to. They are completely dishonest and prey on customers who seem to lack knowledge about car repairs. When I brought my vehicle in for an oil change, they came back with a list of repairs a mile long. They wanted to charge me upwards of $500. I refused and later my mechanic verified that my vehicle was completely fine. Also while I was there, I overheard them trying to swindle a young mother into over $1000 of repairs. When she said she would have to call her husband to see what he thought about it, they told her they would give her the service for $700 if she got it done that day. Thankfully she refused and said she would not spend that kind of money without asking her husband what he thought first. I should have never gone back, but since my mechanic does not do inspections I tried it out one more time this week. They came back and told me my alignment was off and my tires were wearing on the insides. They also said my steering wheel fluid was leaking and they wanted to charge me $1700 to replace the whole system. I refused to let then touch my vehicle and when I brought it in to my mechanic he,once again, verified my suspicions. My tires are a year old and are barely worn at all. He said with the steering wheel, there was some fluid residue which was completely normal for my vehicle. Save yourself the headache and go to valvoline around the corner. They charged me $10 and gave me my inspection sticker the very next day. read more

I would also give zero stars if I could I was Quoted over $1300 more than what I actually needed granted I did Need front rotors and for tires but I did not have a broken sway bar like I was told I took my car to the dealership to make sure because I just had a feeling that they over quoted me just to see and 100% they really tried to get me I will never ever come here again super disappointed because it's really close to my house but nice try I will go to my dealership or just have my boyfriend do whatever jobs he's capable of. Got our car inspected here. Service was super friendly and fast. They saw us right away as a drop-in. We had a great experience.

Don't let the friendliness fool you. Their prices are very unfair. They quoted me $700 for a job that I was able to get done properly for less than $200. The parts literally cost $40 each and they were going to overcharge me by $240 each. I feel bad for the oldladies that we're in the shop when I arrived, I overheard them say their visit there cost them $1200 Don't be fooled! read more

I don't often review businesses but yesterday was ridiculous. I was driving and my tire pressure light came on so I called Midas in Scotia since they were the closest. They could fit me right in. Great! They pulled my car in right away. An hour and a half later the guy comes out (while talking on his cell phone) to cash me out. Nobody bothered to tell me what they found, go over the cost of the repair, or get permission to make the repair. The first I heard from anyone was after the repair was done. Even then, I had to ASK. He just started ringing me up and told me how much it was. I said, "So I assume I had a nail in my tire?" He nodded "yes" and informed me he was on the phone with his girlfriend. Never set his cell phone down. I guess I made out better than the other guy in the waiting room though. He had something done on his dual exhaust system and one side stuck out significantly farther than the other. At least I only had a nail in my tire. I will never bring my car there for anything again. read more
