No shady upsells, no mysterious "necessary" repairs that magically appear out of nowhere. Just honest work from people who actually know what they're doing. And the owner? An absolute legend. They diagnosed my A/C issue correctly, but the method seemed less than "by the book". They couldn't find any of the DYE using a black light, so they jammed a leak detector under the dash toward the suspected evaporator in the firewall to be the issue. Turns out they were right! Estimate 9 hours and $1400. Described the job as major and showed little interest. Was told the charge would be $30 + $10 in supplies. Bill was $30 + $10 + $5 for "additional shop supplies". Really? Going to charge me $5 just because? Lost a future customer for the $5. Not professional. People are already suspect of car mechanics. Took car to another mechanic. Noticed right away that the evaporator was the issue because the car started filling with mist. Described as a major hole and they could hear the coolant running out of the car. Charge for diagnosis was FREE. Estimate 9 hours and $800. Didn't hesitate about the work, just wanted to know when to schedule the car. I will never be back to visit Louie and Ronnie. Enjoy the extra $5 boys. Lost a customer forever.

My Mercedes had an ongoing problem of eating Drive Belts. I spent a lot of money replacing it twice…read moreby two different repair shops, along with idler pulleys and a power steering pump. When the belt started squeaking again, I was told I needed to replace the alternator. I was lucky enough walk into South Street Auto Repair. They diagnosed an oil leak was causing the squeak (not the alternator LOL). Drake stayed in touch with me daily, as they walked me through different diagnostics, repairs and costs. They fixed my squeaky belt, oil leaks, manifold leak and failed ignition coil. Brian my mechanic was very cleanly working on my car and paid attention to every detail. Finally, my exhaust is quiet, my belt is not squeaking and a slight engine hesitation that has been on going is resolved. I can't say enough good about this repair facility. I would have saved a lot of time and money if they were the first shop I would have been my first repair shop!!!

They called to let me know i needed 2 tires replaced instead of 1. Costs me $318 minimum at Discount Tire for low quality tires. At belle tire i got 2 quality tires for $208. They even discounted the 2nd tire to the one i had ordered, even though the 2nd one was a more expensive tire. A little courtesy that went a long way. I need to get some brake work done & an alignment. Will be giving them a call next week to schedule those services. Funny thing guy did ask if I wanted tires balanced which I thought was funny but I guess the joke came with a $180 price tag. Our car is a 2012 Camry with 190,000 miles guys.
