It really does take only about 10 minutes! They even checked the pressure in my tires for me which was great since I was heading back to Maryland the next day. For just around $50 I got a semi- synthetic oil change and great service. If I am back and need a quick oil change, this is where I will go.

I notified Groupon and they refunded. So I was impressed with Valvoline's honesty upfront and their courtesy I agreed to an oil change using the proper oil. They began to go over my vehicle and discovered the oil filter I provided from Autozone was incorrect. Sure enough, it didn't. They offered to call around to locate correct oil filter. I agreed and they found one at a dealer, because vehicle was too new for after market parts. They stopped one of their employees, had him drive over personally and pick it up. Due the inconvenience they offered their waiting room w/ air conditioning. It was awesome. They finished up and I'm on my way. **The manager, Byron, was professional, smart, courteous and found a great solution for my dilemma. He & his team went beyond to ensure I was happy and my problem cleared up. Their location is convenient and very clean. When we got the vehicle back, it had several new issues that were not present before the repair. Warning lights and error messages appeared on the dashboard, and the car began shaking whenever it was driven over 30 mph. We brought the vehicle back, and they charged us an additional $500 for a pedal assembly repair. After getting the car back a second time, the exact same problems remained. After speaking with the owner, we were told to bring the vehicle back again the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. We were told they would start looking at it the next day. It is now a week later, and we still do not have our vehicle. We are now being told that the problem is a transmission issue--something we never experienced before bringing the car to this shop--and they want another $2,500 to repair it. What has been equally frustrating is the lack of communication throughout this entire process. During all three visits, we never received proactive updates about our vehicle. Every time we wanted information, we had to call ourselves. Most calls resulted in being placed on hold, and often no one would return to the phone or call us back. We understand that unexpected issues can happen with vehicle repairs, but the combination of expensive repairs, unresolved problems, new issues appearing after service, and poor communication has made this an extremely disappointing experience. After my check engine light came on, I initially took it to the dealership on Rochester Road since I've worked with them before. After being told the repairs were going to be $1300, I came here to get them done since I find that to be upsurd. (please note, stealership is good for oil changes, and the dudes that work there, as everyone knows, are heartless and obviously gouge you. I'm no dummy.) I spent a lot of time speaking to Karly and she was awesome to work with. I mean, the whole staff here is awesome, but she was my main point of contact. She ran some diagnostics on the car (way quicker than the dealership, obviously) and confirmed what needed to be fixed to get the car back out on the road, and what could wait. It lowered my price down to $887, beating the dealership by about $450. (that's not a typo.) Besides the pricing, the staff here is WAY better, and I get a lot more bang for my buck. Free rentals, way nicer staff, and an all around easier experience. I am coming back here for more service in the future, as I was beyond pleased with my experience. I wish more shops ran like this, and it makes the process way less painful. I cannot thank South Street enough for everything.
