I stopped at the Midas Store on Route 35 in Red Bank New Jersey due to noting low tire pressures. Dennis and the car/tire mechanic (I didn't catch his name) immediately helped me knowing that I was on my way to work and had to travel over one hour. They discovered that my right back tire was punctured by what appeared to be nails, repaired the tire and got me back on the road. The staff was warm and friendly, and I can't thank Dennis and his crew enough for helping me out with this latest car/tire issue. I plan to return since my air conditioner seems to need attention. brought truck in for wheel alignment, 30 mins later they call and say its done. "which a good alignment should take about an hour to do" i get in truck and start driving and the steering wheel is not even straight, an if you tried to straighten it while you were driving it would make the truck pull all the way to the left that you would crash, so they definitely did not test drive after the service. i bring it rite back tell them what's up, they bring it back in on machine, then i hear them saying tell him its this part an tell him its that part, mean while whole front end has all brand new parts. just wanted a simple alignment. the so called tech comes to me and says lets take a ride and see if its any better, he starts telling me that the alignment machine has been having issues and that hes never worked on this model alignment machine hes only works on the ones mavis has. so i say why are you guys doing this work if the machine in not acting rite, he goes i got a kid and i need to work. Ive got a family too and if my trucks not working Propper and has been half- assed that puts them at risk. so at the end of the day problem was not fixed and the manager didnt offer any type of help or even refund my money since they could not perform the service. then 2 days later they have some guy call me and hit me with all the nice guy BS and offer to have another Midas do they work, when i call him to set up a time and what location to go to he just ignores my calls. so im done with midas i will never ever return for service there or anywhere that has the name Midas on it. read more

I will never use Midas again, these people took advantage of my situation and charged me $740.00 for front brake pads and rotors. I priced out the rotors and pads and top of the line stuff (which they did not use) came out to be maybe $300. Took them 45 minutes to change. And that was after a %15 Veteran discount, which didn't come out to %15, he gave me $54 off. I'm disgusted. Didn't even want to rate 1 star read more

I have had nothing but good experiences at this shop in the past few months. I originally went in because I needed back brakes and my front right suspension was making a noise. They did my brakes, rotors and a ball joint and had the car ready within a few hours. Brought in the work truck with a seized brake caliper and they redid the entire front brake system within a few hours. Dropped off my car yesterday for an exhaust leak and the A/C compressor blew. Same experience it was done in a few hours. Evan was nothing but helpful with explaining the issues and prices for repairs. Will definitely be using this Midas again in the future. Would NEVER go back here.. Took our Mini Cooper in for an oil change. First issue was that the manager was very arrogant and made us feel very uncomfortable. Then he told us we needed a flex pipe for over $170. When I told him to just do the oil change, he came back and said we need a brake sensor wire for over $115. I told him my son-in-law was a mechanic and would fix both issues and he smirked at me. When I asked him to show me where the rot was on the flex pipe, he only wanted to show me where it is on a diagram. I told him I wanted to see it on the vehicle he refused and said it was the lift was already down and would not have them pit it back up. He clearly thought that because i was a woman, he could try to scam me. The car is not even making any exhaust noise! Stay away from this place! read more

Invoice number: 7038625 Swap tires The job was not done correctly and my rear brakes were damaged by the mechanic. When I picked the vehicle up nothing was done right and my brakes are gone. I asked for a refund and was told no. I asked them to fix what they broke and was told no. So no wheels and now no brakes because of the shops incompetence. I want my money back and my brakes repaired. This place is 4 kids pretending to be mechanics and a manager that has no idea what they are doing or breaking. read more

Went their to get my breaks checked and I sat down and they told me that I had to get my rods changed on my car and the sway bar on the front was about to break. And wanted me to pay 760.00 which is ridiculous. I told them I couldn't pay it and told me I had to sign the paper saying my car was to dangerous for me to drive and just Incase I run off the road or hit a school bus I wouldn't sue them. Than I get back home and notice my hub cap is missing. Idk what they did but would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone. Went to a regular mechanic and saved over 380.00. Wow! What a GREAT experience! Brought my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in this morning, because I heard a little squeaking..sure enough, after a FREE brake inspection, I needed new rotors and pads... Dennis was AWESOME! Really hooked me up on pricing, and even SHOWED me the grooves in the rotors( so I knew I wasn't getting ripped off ). I came here as suggested by my mechanic who diagnosed my 1992 Miata as needing a catalytic converter. Their estimate was half that of my mechanic's and material was in stock. Getting it done now. Only 4 stars given because there should always be room for improvement. Overall I'm very satisfied. read more

My wife went here for an oil change using a coupon for $19.99. They then told my wife that she needed to replace the wheel bearings on the front right tire for $350.00. They attempted to show her the wheel was loose and dangerous to drive home. She declined but was very nervous. The car made no sounds normally associate with a bad bearing. She then took the car to a mechanic we trust. He said the bearings were fine but a nut was suspiciously loose and tightened them in a couple of minutes for no charge. This Midas is either incompetent or dishonest. read more

This place is horrible.... wouldnt even give them 1 star ....customer service is very bad and not friendly at all. Came her for an oil change and they tried adding on so much other stuff that is not needed.... Also my wheellock nut was perfect and they stripped it by using the gun when I told them can they please do the locks by hand.. they came back to me and said they cant take the tire off cuz the lock keeps sliding once they gave me my wheel lock back u can see it was tore up from them using the gun when I told them it was perfectly fine before I gave to them they acted like they didn't do it. Do not go here!! Will not be back and will not go to any midas ever again they all are the same. read more

Don't trust these con artists. Went in for a routine oil change and the manager quoted me a price to change the air filters but when I went to pay - the bill was $60 over his quote. Then they told me I needed a new Tie Rod and I shouldn't drive the car until it was fixed. They didn't know I had a warranty on the car. When I took it to Honda to get it fixed - Honda said my Tie Rod was fine and didn't need replacing. These guys tried to pull the classic fixing something that wasn't broken. Shame on them! read more

Took my truck in for an oil change a month ago and not only did it take over two hours to change the oil they also damaged the grill on my truck and I have yet to hear back from them after numerous calls would not recommend this place to anyone read more

I've had great experiences here. Friendly staff that always try to help you out with discounts whenever possible. Car mechanic businesses can be such scams with telling you there's a million things wrong with your car, but this place seems to truly be a service you can trust. I'd recommend this to be your consistent oil change stop. read more

I went to Midas muffler located at 450 Hwy. 35 in Red Bank, NJ to check a loud muffler like sound coming from my car. Jeff knew exactly what the trouble was; quoted a price that was more than fair and repaired my car in a timely manner. He didn't try to push unneeded repairs on me he was knowledgeable and most important to me, he was HONEST! I highly recommend this Midas Muffler if you need your car repaired. read more

They could not accommodate me (parts), so they recommended where I should go and explained to me, thoroughly, what the issue was and what I needed before I left. They didn't charge me a dime! They charged me $270.00 to replace the "flex" pipe on my Elentra. It lasted a week. They. "repaired" it again ....... and it fell completely off in less than a week. They said they were unhappy with their work and did the job again. It lasted almost 2 weeks. This went on a total of 5 times. The last time they "fixed" it they used some type of epoxy instead of welding it properly. When I picked up my car they said they wouldn't fix it again. The job was never done correctly, and by the way it's leaking again. My advice, go somewhere else! I have pics if you want to see the caliber of their work. read more

Had my shocks/struts and front brakes done here about a year ago. I thought they did a good job until I put my car on a lift due to faulty wheel speed sensor and found they never finished the job as they never fastened brackets that held brake line and speed sensor back onto the shock/struts which then caused them to rub together and due to friction the speed sensor line on my front right wheel broke and the brake lines are almost shot too. I will never go there again. read more

I dropped my car off at Red Bank Midas last weekend to see if they could give me new brakes. They had started to squeak and I figured I would have to replace them. When Dennis called me later on he said that the brakes did not have to be replaced! In fact the squeak had been caused by dirt and so he cleaned out the area - for free!! He said no need to fix the brakes for a couple more months at least!! How many other brake shops would actually inspect your car and then give you an honest answer which did not mean money for them?!! I will absolutely return to Denis at Midas when the time comes for my brakes to really be fixed and would recommend his shop to anybody in need of a service! Thank you Dennis!! read more

Don't bring your car here. A few years ago I brought my newer jeep (with only 75k miles on it) in for oil change, no biggie. they said a line needed to be replaced- said ok. two days later my car went up in flames as I was driving. The whole transmission was shot. Took a huge loss on a great car because of their faulty work. read more

One word sums it up...Trustworthy! We all have had our share of bad experiences at garages..and honestly I can say this place gave me a feeling of hope! Haha... I went in to replace a tire that I was told was no good to drive on by a Nissan dealership (after they told me it was covered by road hazard warranty to get me in there, and then let me know it wasn't and I would have to pay for it)..so I declined and decided to try somewhere else. I think it was Dennis I spoke to, who I called this afternoon for an appt tomorrow, but he got me to come in today which was great. Without knowing the Nissan story, he had me look at my tire and let me know there was nothing wrong with it!..(it was only 4 months old after all!)...I was truly impressed with their honesty and commitment to the customer. They did let me know that my other 2 tires were bad (which I knew and was dragging my feet on)...but because of their customer service I did get 2 new tires this afternoon and also left with a feeling of relief knowing I have a well-managed shop to bring my car!
