Extremely dishonest. I am from out of town And usually do my own work. I took my van in because the brakes were sounding bad. I had changed the brakes just a month ago so they should have been fine. I thought something else might be the problem so I asked them to look it over. They told me my brakes were shot, rotors (which I replaced as well) were needing changed, both wheel bearings needed replaced and I needed new tires. All we're lies I felt so I left. Later I took the wheels off and looked over the brakes and they looked fine. I went to Firestone for the same thing and they said it was just dirt on the pads and there was no issue. This seems to be a common thing with Midas locations. I have been lied to before at a Midas and will never go to one again. Make the drive to Firestone in Winter Haven. Honest and good. read more

The folks working here are terrific, in particular Michelle the front office/back coordinator. I had an appointment to buy tires - I buy tires from Midas because they are nationwide and they offer a great cost effective road hazard warranty. I did not realize when I made my appointment the tires would not be in stock. I had difficulty getting an appointment online and had to call in; I may have chosen a different Midas or one closer to a convenient place to waste some time while I waited for the tires to be delivered had I known. That being said when I arrived for my appointment the place was packed. Everybody was working their butts off and the phone was ringing and these folks weren't missing a beat. I could see they were slammed. I explained I couldn't wait that long - car was headed to the dealers for some warranty work. I asked if I could call her in a few days and if then, she could have the tires there for when I got there; she was amicable and handled the situation beautifully. I called her a day later, she had the tires there when I got there; car went right into the bay. Great job. I get it - it's hard to find folks to work but it seemed like this Midas has a great crew. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I came for an oil change and saw my car almost fall off the lift. They damaged the entire front bumper and was promised a replacement of the part and now they only want to repair the bumper after I explained to the owner that the bumper was brand new. They had the nerve to still charge me for the oil change after damaging my car ! Now I'm hiring an attorney to assist. Horrible customer service !!! Look elsewhere. Pros: Floyd is a nice guy. Cons: 1)Long, long, long wait. 2)Poor results. Brake cleaning did not last, screeching never stopped. Receipt reads " Install Friction" which I can only assume means friction pads. Also says "machine Rotor/ Drum" a type of cleaning. Total waste of $161.00. I went back and asked him to put it back on the lifts to show me EXACTLY what he did, but I was looking at another 2 hour wait. Went in for a flat tire repair and to balance all tires and Chris was upfront and honest about the need for new tires as ours were pretty bald, he easily could have ripped us off and just "patched the hole" and charged us for the repair and balancing and sent us on our merry way In hopes of us returning to get new tires at another time but he showed us why we needed new tires and cut us a fantastic deal. He says it all the time but nobody will beat his prices or the incredible customer service We got from this location, it's so hard to find an honest mechanic these days and I can't recommend this place enough! read more

I went into this shop to get a pipe replaced on my minivan. I told the store manager that it was diagnosed by the Midas shop in Columbia, SC but he didn't have the part. I was driving to Orlando for Vacation so he said top at a Midas shop in Orlando to get it done. I went to this Midas shop and they told me they needed to do a full inspection and charge me $30. Really? I just told you what the Midas Shop in Columbia said. So they order the part and we agree for me to set-up an appointment for 7:30am that Friday. The part will come in Thursday so we will be all set. I get there at 7:30 and no part. Store manager says sorry but he was off yesterday and not his fault no one called to let me know. Really not your fault? Maybe you should have told someone if it didn't come in to call me. Says the part will be there between 7:30-9am so I go and buy groceries and come back. Still no part! what a waste of a vacation day because these clowns have bad customer service. I finally get the car fixed and back by 5:30. If you want bad customer service go here! read more

Was charged over $700 dollars for 2 rotors, an oil change and a gasket set replacement. Car drove out of the shop with practically every light on the panel lit up including the check engine and the car sputtering. Was told that maybe it was to much oil on the parts and that it would all go away or maybe car needs a belt replacement. Obviously have no idea of what the 88888 they are doing. read more

I drove the family own to Orlando for vacation. When I got here the car was making an odd noise. Took it to Midas on south Orange Blossom trail and they got me in right away. The mechanic took it for a test drive with me and heard the noise when it got to 30 MPH. Put it on the lift and determined it was the flex pipe from the converter. He said the converter was good but the flex pipe was loose and instead of buying a new converter w/ flex pipe, he could spot weld it in two places to stop the noise. I agreed and 30 minutes later after a complete check of car, I was on my way to Disney. Never got out of a shop for $56 bucks, These guys are not out to rip anyone off and give you a fare repair at an Honest Price. read more

I dropped off my Saab 9-3 turbo and agreed on the 100 dollar authorization for a full diagnostic because my car was broken. They called me and said I need a new ignition cassette. Which was strange to me because I just had that replaces 30k miles ago by anther shop. So I called a Saab dealer and asked what could cause it to go out so fast and they told me to make sure the correct spark plugs are in there. I called back I inform Midas of my conversation with Saab and they said they would check the plugs. They said it would be about 500 for the part. I asked them if it would be an oem part. The guy on the phone ensured me it would be oem but it would take 5-7 days to get. I get a call on Friday the car is ready. Strange because the parts shouldn't even be in by now. They charged me anther hour labor for the spark plugs and charged me 20 bucks a spark plug, which I never agreed too. And I talk to the tech as the advance auto parts guy was making his delivery. I look on line and the ignition cassette is only 207. Mind you only one cable plugs into it and 4 bolts hold it to the top of the motor that's it. When I question Jorge about this he told me that he was the assistant manager and the he could just take the part out and refund the part but I still have to pay labor. That was his fix to what I was lied to on the phone. After a calm disagreement he took 45 bucks off. I payed because I needed the car. I went to school and when I came back to pick it up I asked to speak with the manager, that apparently Jorge is the owner. So he says. As I was leaving confused, feeling robbed and lied too, he offered to take it return the part and refund half the labor. At this point I called Midas customer support and make a report. I then when and made Jorge aware of the complaint and reference number he then boastfully told me he will call me personally when he wins. I told him he's a liar and a thief. Trying to sell aftermarket parts and oem. He told me I can't prove he told me the parts would be oem. read more

I moved from NJ to Orlando FL few weeks ago and really had a hard time locating some honest mechanics, I have had bad experiences with bad mechanics in past, so I needed an oil change urgently, by chance, I was near 9825 S Blossom Trl Orlando and checked on google where i could get the oil change done and also brakes inspected. Decided to go to Midas instead pepboys or valvoline which suck in doing jobs fast and their customer service also sucks. The guys are amazing there, best customer service plus they are not crazy about emptying customers pockets, they will give you the list of things which are wrong with your car and let you decide if you want to get it done or not. Very reasonable price and they want you save money too, they are on your side. So I had a oil change done* rear brakes pads were replaced* a headlight bulb was replaced, the front left blinker bulb was not good and Jorge and Bruce replaced that for free* had a noise coming out due to the heat shield something and they fixed those problems (no charge) if I was at some other places, those places would have charged me a lot of money for doing that because those places are all about making money. I am so glad I got introduced with this place! I am going to be their lifetime customer. read more
