Usually this place is very accommodating and efficient but today with this guy Walter - it has been a big disappointment. Dropped our car at 8am for an AC leak repair and all I can get out of him at 11:30am is that he thinks I have a leak. I told him I know that and that's why the car is there. I decided to just pull the car out and go someplace else. Big issue with communication, phone skills and customer service. All I really wanted is a professional to tell me what they can do and what to expect- so I can make necessary arrangements for my day. read more

My wife brought in her BMW 325i for an oil change and tire rotation. She told them that she was having an electrical issue and that the A/C was acting weird (turning on and off randomly). They told her they didn't do electrical work but they would get the oil change and tires taken care of and check for any obvious electrical problems. I brought her to the shop to pick up the car and noticed (from my truck) that there was a wire hanging down in the front. Upon further inspection I noticed that there was absolutely no evidence of them rotating the tires. There was brake dust all over the tires and I could see where they had taken off the cap to check the air pressure but there was no way they rotated them. There would have been missing dust from the nuts on the tire and from handling the tires. I had the manager come out and look. I asked him how on earth they missed this wire hanging down from the front if they had the tires off of the car to rotate them? He acted like a 15 year old and kept saying "I told my guy to do it so he did it!" We went back and forth and he kept saying "I'll have my guy just do it again in front of you". The tread in front was noticeably more worn than in back and he had told my wife, over the phone, that it was the exact opposite as if they had done the rotation. If this dude would have just said, "yeah man it looks like we missed that" I would have been fine, but this guy just kept lying to my face. I have had some great service here before but the dude that helped us, P. Lee, is a piece of trash. He will lie through his teeth to get you out of there. read more

John was so helpful over the phone. I have a Chevy Cruze and every time I have to double check if they have my filter. He checked and they didn't have it in stock but got it for me before my apt. He was able to squeeze me in before his next apt. They took less than 30 min. I always have trouble with my car after an oil change and so far I haven't I think I found my place! Walter and crew were great. Had to get new struts, shocks, break pads & rotors as well as transmission flush and oil change. Was in at 8:30am and they worked non-stop until 1pm. They were honest to a fault, even cutting the labor costs about $200 than originally quoted since they put two technicians on the job just to get me out before 2pm. Would highly recommend to anyone. I definately reccomend this place. I brought my car in to check out my brakes. The customer service was great and they took me in to explain and show me the car which was pretty neat to learn about. Even though there are other Midas locations a little closer to where I live, I chose to try this one because of the great reviews it had on Yelp, and I am so glad I made that decision! The customer service here just blew me away. I needed to get my oil changed before traveling for Christmas, and even though there was a scheduling crunch caused by a horde of like-minded people, the employee I spoke with on the phone patiently and determinedly worked with me to find a time to get it done. While I was there, I witnessed the same employee (I wish I remembered his name!) repeat the process with two other customers, and saw all the organization and coordination that went into it behind the scenes--talking to co-workers and calling auto-part companies to make all the pieces fall into place. Throughout my whole experience there, everyone I talked to was friendly, polite, and dedicated to good service. The oil change went faster than I am used to, and they even checked my tire pressure without me having to ask! This location will be my regular stop as long as I'm in the area. read more

I was having a pretty bad exhaust issue with my car and wasn't really sure where to go, especially as a single girl I'm always afraid of getting taken advantage of when it comes to auto repair. Decided to bring it to this shop. Called at 8am to see if there would be someone available to bring me home so they could have my car for the day. Albert told me to bring it in right away and I could get a ride home. Got there at 8:30 and Alex the mechanic brought me home. A few hours later I received a phone call from Albert letting me know that I had a massive crack in my exhaust manifold but they could weld it shut vs replacing it. This was great news and saved me a lot of money. Alex did a fantastic job and my car no longer sounds and runs loud. Most importantly, exhaust fumes are no longer getting into the cab of my car! I've already told a coworker to go see Albert and Alex at Midas. I recommend there service. Walked away a happy customer who will return :) read more

Great fast service but was displeased with the quote I was given. I had called about a week prior to get a quote on an oil change for my specific car but was charged for double the price because my car used synthetic oil blends. It was Camry so that was unusual. read more

I tried to take my car in for an oil change because I had a coupon for an oil change plus for 19.99. They said they could not honor it because I asked for 5W20 and my car needed a special oil filter. I have a regular Mitsubishi Lancer 45000 miles + and from all the oil changes I have done prior, I have never had to have a special oil filter. They wanted to charge me 39.99 instead of 19.99 so I left. As a franchise, Midas needs to look into this place because it's giving Midas a bad name. read more

We recently had the brakes on our van replaced and the service was fine. Unfortunately, they put the lug nuts on too tight that when we took it to another place for tire rotation and balancing, they broke the lug nut key and snapped the lug nuts off on two tires. It's going to cost over $700 to have this issue fixed. What was supposed to be an hour event is turning into an all day problem thanks to the incompetence of this shop. I called and was able to make an appointment to get new brakes and was able to drop off my car the next morning and get my car back 2 hours before the time they quoted me. The staff was very friendly and honest. I thought I needed all of my brakes replaced and I ended up only needed my front brakes replaced. I still had 60% left on my back brakes. i came yesterday for oil change and tire rotation and notice there were diffferent people..I met one of the guys Art he was the service manager very outgoing guy and very presentable. He told me about and hour with the free courtsey check in which i was happy and offered me coffee in which was really good even for free. After 30 minutes he came back with report and had shown me what i needed...after i told him iam just a college student and he pointed what i need for right now and do other services later... very honest guys espcially their techs in which i was very happy. Art told me how long the job will take and if i needed a ride... great customer service. He told me he was short handed staff but he will get my car done asap and will call me in which he did. i highly recommend this Midas because they go threw their inspection and suggests what services your car needs great job guys..........:) read more

Came in to see what was causing my car to squeak, at 4:15pm on a Monday, without an appointment. Said it would be a 30 min before they could check it out, which I was fine with. Found out it was my brakes (the cheapest of all the problems Google said it might be), and they have a $50 off coupon going on right now. It's a real challenge to find an honest mechanic that has reasonable rates. Well, look no further. Jonny and Walter are friendly front men at the counter. It's usually never that busy, so the wait for oil change, tire rotation was minimal - 45 minutes. Conveniently located right off the 55 fwy and only 15 minutes from my home. In the past, I had an issue that seemed to be a misdiagnosis with an oil leak, but after writing them a letter, they quickly resolved the matter and offered me a full refund credit for the work that was done toward the new repair. Recently, I overheard Jonny tell a customer that the initial diagnosis was not as bad as first thought, and that the charge would be must lower. How many shops do that? Normally, most shops "up sell" the customer, and you always walk out with a larger bill. I know many shops work on "commission" so if the mechanic finds more things to repair they get a bonus. Or, if they don't recommend more repairs, the mechanic and counter guy get reprimanded from management. It doesn't seem to be the case at this Midas. I needed a cabin filter and air filter, and they showed me the parts before asking for my approval. I like that. After searching prices on the internet for the cost, I found that their charge for parts was fair considering they have to get them sent over from their local parts shop and install them. It wasn't worth the difference for me to spend the time to buy them and install myself. The only perk I would like is if they offered free wifi. At least I could plug in during my wait time, but this is not essential for me because their work is good and cost fair. They you guys for earning my business through fair business practices! P.S. Went for oil change this past Saturdays and beforehand had requested appt I had to call in because no one called back. Was told if come in early would have no problem coming in, come sat the Asian manager on site said sat are first come first serve and I would of been told that I told him no I was not be wasn't listening when I told him I was there by myself and kept telling me if I was going to leave it he kicked me out when I became angry at the fact that he wasn't listening. So rude and customer service completely went down the drain. I was becoming recurring customer but after that day, they can go to hell!!!! read more

I never write reviews but this place is the worst. I printed up the oil change coupon online and brought it down there. They told me that it could not be done because they did not have any conventional motor oil which is ridiculous. They said the only thing they had was synthetic which did not apply for the coupon. They are extremely rude and are crooks. They tell you that things need to be done that are simply not true. I watched them charge a girl for $500 dollars on things her car did not need (she came in for an oil change, they got her for brakes a motor mount, windshield wipers the list goes on). Go to the Midas in Tustin they are straight up with you no bullshit. IF IT WAS UP TO ME I WOULD FIRE EVERYONE WORKING AT THE MIDAS OFF OF CHAMPMAN AVE. read more
