I had a hanging under carriage skid plate that needed to be reclipped on. And I needed a plastic piece that "heatstroke" on the outside of the windshield. Also 2 rain guards to place on the front 2 windows on the doors. I already had all the pieces. This shop knows me well as I've been going there for years. They all greeted, even the mechanics in the garage area. Big smiles and waves from everyone that works there. I had no appointment, but asked if they could squeeze me in. No problem. I expected to wait, but no. They took my vehicle in within minutes. Wow I thought. How nice of them. My vehicle was done in about 45 minutes. I've gotten my oil changes , brakes and inspection all done here at different times. Oil changes are reasonably priced, way better than one of those Quick 5 oil change places. Brakes replacement on the front cost me about $150 but I supplied my own brakes. They send a text as follow up to your service to ask if it went well, I appreciate that as well. They noticed my inspection was about to go out during brake change and said they could get it done quickly, it was very covenient. read more

All I was trying to do was take a close friend of mine to an interview, and I ended up broken down in Fort Worth Texas. After 5 hours of frustration with AAA towing, I finally ended up at Midas; and I am so glad I did. It was an hour before closing, and I really wasn't looking forward to getting another tow truck to take me back to Denton, but they were kind enough to stay and help me get home. Everyone here is too kind for words, and instead of paying $650 for what I thought was my entire alternator, they were honest and showed me what was REALLY wrong; and I walked out only paying around $250 for a new belt on my alternator. (Huge thanks to Tony who actually showed me what to look for, and helping me through the whole process!) Even though I live practically an hour away, and I hope I'm never stranded somewhere again, I'll be back to Midas if I need it. Went in for oil change and tire rotation. Been in before without much fanfare. This time different. Left truck in morning to pick up at lunchtime. Young lady at desk called me twice delaying my return to pick up truck. Finally got there 2 hours later and still hadn't completed rotation I On one side. Reason was lug nuts were "swollen" and had to be chiseled off. Had doctors appt so had to pay and leave. Made appt to replace lugs with new 3 days later. Got there - they were too busy and rescheduled for noon next day. Arrived next day only to be told too busy to replace the 5 lugs still attached and if I wanted to pay another $70 they could have ready while I waited. Or bring back in morning and they would try to work it in. No thank you. I replaced myself and will never return. New ownership is not to be trusted. CANT RECOMMEND ! Never finished rotation and charged me $20 more than advertised. Caveat Emptor ! read more

I would not recommend this Midas. The people behind the counter and who worked out front where very friendly and helpful and I thought they did a great job. but the mechanics misdiagnosed my car and in and cost me to pay more than I needed to. I came in because my AC was not working well and my car was rough idling when the AC was on and I was at a stop. They recommended that I needed to change out my AC compressor and some of my engine mounts. This repair cost me almost $2000 but now my car is still rough idling when the AC is on and the AC is still not working as well as it should be. read more

So yesterday I made a appointment for a alignment, I showed up on time. When I went in I was told a car was stuck on the alignment rack and I had to make a different appointment. I'm a understanding person so I make one for the next morning. I show up the next morning the same car was on the alignment rack as before, I waited 1.5 hours for them to finally move it, just so a different car (that wasn't mine) could be moved to the alignment rack. This store has zero care for customers time or holding to a appointment. When I asked for my keys back, all I got was a casual "sure, here", no apology for wasting my time, zero care. I have been there many times in the past without issue, but now I wont be back, I will find another shop that will hold to what they say. read more

Took my car in to get wheel bearings fixed. Got it back and they gave a new problem regarding my brake pads (that was not there before). Took it back again, service got delayed because they ordered the wrong parts. Got it back and now I'm missing a wheel lock key and a brake dust shield. And they took my car for a joy ride and disrespectfully left open drinks and trash on my car floor as if it weren't bad enough. Mechanics are not competent enough to double check their work. Customer service is just back and forth "Oh yeah we'll fix your car by the end of the day" and "we'll cross our T's and dot our I's to make sure everything is in order" Never going back again - would rather support local mechanic shops over these franchises because all they care about is turnover rate and getting money out of it. "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." I took it in for a squeak when I applied the brakes. It was a hellish experience (too long to write) but they did a brake job for $X00. It still squeaked. Took it to them again, expecting it to be done right and maybe free. Another brake job at $X00 and they still squeak. They said I need more brake work. Sorry. You got me twice. Never again. I'll have to live with squeaking brakes, and I know where to not take my truck in the future. read more

Absolutely the slowest place I have ever been. All I needed was front brake pads. They insisted on a brake inspection to determine what all was needed. After an inspection and quote, they repeatedly came back to me with problems that needed to be fixed...for more money of course. As I continued to refuse to pay for this BS, they worked slower and slower. If anyone came to the shop all would stop working and see what the new customer wanted. It took all three guys to determine a female customer had a flat. At this posting...4 hours and counting! When the job was finally finished, the work done was done correctly. The manager apologized for the work taking so long. He explained they are short-handed and also have a new man. He gave me a card for a free oil change. I am pleased that an acknowledgement was made that this job took entirely too long. read more

Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. All my tires were slightly low pressure when I took it in. Got home and noticed one tire still looked really low. My paperwork said all tires were at 35. I manually checked the pressure of all my tires and they were exactly the same as before, meaning they didn't even check my tires. I called to complain and the manager told me that "they sometimes get lazy with the tire pressure, but are usually pretty good at checking everything else". I paid nearly $100, I expect everything to actually be done. They also got oil all over the place under my hood, so now I'll get to enjoy the pleasant smell of the oil burning off for a few days. This place clearly has zero pride in their work and doesn't give a shit about customers. read more

Had my breaks done previously at this location. Heard a noise so I took it in. Unable to hear the noise while test driving. I asked about what they thought after taking the wheels off. The guy told me "no need to take the wheels off if we don't hear anything." Same day started to make noise again. I waited until my next day off. Finally they heard the noise. They put it on a lift and literally only tapped it it a metal pill. Did not take a single wheel off. He came and told me what the problem was. I asked how he knew when he didn't even take the wheels off. He said "no need to take the wheels off when they were just off last week." I asked them to take my car down and am taking it somewhere else today. Total waste of my time. I wonder what the owners would think about this type of customer care? read more

My first time to this location was to have an oil change. I didn't know anyone who had been here before so I asked a couple of people who were there having work done if they had ever been here. One was a very long time customer who told me he's always been satisfied and the other had been coming for a couple of years. This time in I had a simple oil change and they recommended a cabin air filter replacement which I did because the one I had was in pretty bad shape and complied with recommended maintenance according to my cars manufacturer, which I do follow. I have been coming to this location now for a few years and I have been happy with the staff and work that has always been done. read more

This place is horrible! I've been here twice and both times I had a bad experience. First time I went I stood there for about 5 min and no one ever came up to the counter so I stuck my head in to the garage to get someone's attention, then when he came out he said he was the only person working that night and he wouldn't be able to do my oil change. he asked me to come back another time, so instead I just had my bf do it for me later. Then the second time I came I needed my oil changed again, yes it was a little late and close to closing time. I went in and asked for the basic oil change they had a special going for $10 but I wanted my tires rotated so he charged me full price (oh and just so you guys know they don't want to give you the special sale price unless you mention it to them my sister had this problem with them) I was fine with that cause I need it rotated. They get done and I ask the man that brings my car out if the tire was rotated he says no and I explained to him that that's why I paid the full price instead of the special cause I needed it done and he says " oh hummm well let me go check with the other guys" by the way this guy was in the garage the whole time and was probably working on my car with them my car was the last car there I'm sure he knew it wasn't done. He goes to the garage then comes back out and say that yes it was rotated I thought that was weird. It was raining out so my tires were wet and I couldn't check it right away I tried but it's hard to tell so I waited till the next day. After it dried off I checked and sure enough it was never rotated!! This really pissed me off cause I paid more to get it done and THEY LIED!! I know they were all just wanting to go home but this is not how a business should be ran and customers should not be lied to and ripped off. If you can't do the job then say you can't do it cause it's late is that really so hard!!!???!!!??? Just cause I'm a female doesn't mean I don't know anything about my car. Avoid at all costs!!! Ripoff artists!!! My girlfriend goes in for a free A/C check to confirm a bad hose. They evacuate and recharge the entire system charging her $120! It worked for 12 hrs and after she returns they say she has a bad A/C hose.....WTF?!?! They say they used blue dye to determine any leaks which would be visible....bullsh*t! Any dye used these days is green and must be viewed with yellow glasses and a flourescent light and to do a FREE A/C CHECK you would test the system with air pressure. After this initial $120 they now want to charge her for a new hose ($200 friggin dollars!) and installation which would be an additional $50. Talk about taking advantage of a woman who knows nothing about vehicles. After finding this out I went to confront the so-called manager (is still using business cards with a previous managers name) and approached him as a new customer inquiring about his free a/c check. Upon seeing my girlfriends car pull into the lot he is immediately on the defense and caught red handed in his ripoff scheme. I proceeded to go across the street to the O'Reilly Auto Parts store and purchase the needed hose for $61. Later installation and freon recharge was less than $100 and works perfectly fine in the current 110 degree temps we are experiencing. This asshole has not heard the last from me and this is getting run right up to corporate...... If you like to piss your money away having nothing to show for it this is the place to go!!!! read more

I Give Midas a BIG FAT 0!! I'm a single Female who experienced my Brakes going out without warning! I had Brian Burgess at Midas in North Richland Hills, TX to look at them the next day! He told me that I needed a Master Cylinder which would cost me $656.61. He said if I Did Not Purchase this Part my Brakes would Go Out Again! Afraid, Worried & Standing on his WORD, I Paid! 12 Days later my BRAKES went Out Again at a 4-Way Stop Sign! Terrified now KNOWING For SURE Midas Mechanic Brian Burgess GLADLY took my Money & left me with the Very Same Problem, I did a Google search. I found out my Car had been RECALLED for the Very Same Brake Problem I was having! The Part Midas Sold Me did NOTHING to Stop my Brakes from going OUT AGAIN! The Dealership Fixed The TRUE BRAKE problem That MIDAS CLEARLY Lied About FIXING! I gave Midas Mechanics my Paper work from the Dealership Showing Everything & what True work had been Done! Chris & Brain Burgess offered No Apology, Showed No Remorse & Offered None Of my Money Back, Not even $20! I Filed a Claim with the Better Business Bureau yesterday & it Was Accepted!
