Computers relay specific information about your car to the screen in the car bay

Allow me to save you the time, effort, and research I did to arrive at this conclusion "I wouldn't take our Mercedes anywhere else" and here is why! We are fairly new to Keller, Texas, and probably like you after finding a good realtor we needed to find a good mechanic. Our 2019 Mercedes GLC 300 needed an A1 service so I diligently called about a dozen automotive service centers I found on Google and Yelp, including the local dealership, to inquire about time and costs. German Drive was actually referred to me by one of the other centers that didn't do work on Mercedes. The gentleman gave me their phone number and said "I wouldn't take a Mercedes anywhere else". Melea answered the phone at German Drive. Her Texas accent was cheerful, and she answered my questions confidently and professionally, explaining the costs involved and the time it would take. Melea described the thorough process German Drive uses by taking pictures of all the belts, hoses, tires, filters, and fluids during their full-service inspection. This is far and above the general maintenance involved in the oil and filter changes, the fluid and tire check, and the brake inspection. I booked an appointment for the next morning. The gravel entry to German Drive belies the clean, comfortable air-conditioned offices inside. I met Jackie outside and she politely pointed me to the door that would open up our new home for any automotive work we may need in Texas. Once inside a familiar accent filled the air with a warm Texas greeting. Melia helped get my car checked in and had the batteries replaced in both my key fobs at no charge. Then she got me situated in one of several personal Wi-Fi offices next to the customer waiting room that provided free beverages, coffee, and snacks. The office was clean with a very comfortable chair and work area that was quiet and conducive to getting work done. I also began receiving text messages updating me on the next steps. This is a 5-star service center with incredible customer care. Marty owns and runs his facility "hands-on" with pride and attention to detail, both with his staff and his customers, he is the real deal. His dad was a mechanic and he is an ASE Master Certified Mechanic who insists and pays for his crew to maintain and update their training and certifications. He is a genuine car enthusiast who has worked on every car you can name and many you probably can't! I was beyond impressed. Melea has two sons, one is a former Navy Seal and Jackie's son is a Master Sergeant and will be home this 4th of July. Marty is from Brooklyn but has long since taken roots in Texas. This company is homegrown with all of the modern equipment, computers, and technology to service any make and model car you drive. Marty designed the mechanic's work area so that cars move in one direction and don't have to be backed up, this also provides maximum airflow to his crew who are provided a break room area for rest and showers. Each car bay has a screen that receives updates from the computer related to your specific car. Taking good care of the employees who take great care of your car allows the front office to provide amazing customer care while you wait. I am glad German Drive was a referral and am happy to pass on the advice I received, "I would not take our Mercedes anywhere else."

Last few time I brought my 2015 bmw here. They forgot to put bolts back and broke the air intake by forcing it in place. I brought it up to their attention and brought the car in for another problem a month later and was told they were going to fix the broken air intake. They had my car for a month and I was not fix. The mechanic that work on my car is either incompetent or doesn't care. Im very dissatisfied with the service and never bringing my car here again. They need to do the job right the first time and make sure everything is put back together the right way.

Good work at good price! Gustavo is very knowledgeable! I take all of my rides to him. My SL500 is taken care of with kid gloves. Always washed before I get it back so it is nice a clean.

Great experience and outcome here with Gus and his team - based on other POSITIVE reviews, arranged an appointment and drove 30 miles to his shop - they diagnosed the issue with my Mercedes thoroughly and provided a detailed estimate - then we setup a time that worked for both of us later in the week for the repairs - his team did not disappoint - his is a professional businessman and knows the value of building happy customers - his shop can be trusted and I'm very pleased to have found German Drive - nice job !!!

All were repaired at no charge although it did seem like warranty work was not there priority, every time I had to bring it back to their shop they would have it for over a week. And trying to get a hold of Daniel was nearly impossible, he's never at the shop, and when you are lucky enough to get him to answer the phone he was just promise to call you right back in 5 minutes, only 5 minutes will turn into 5 days. My final draw with this shop is when I brought it back to them because the transmission would not shift into 3rd gear. Daniel told me it sounds like the clutch drum is probably cracked and that it is a common problem with my transmission. When I asked if that is covered under warranty he said it is not because it is not a part that is replaced with a rebuild kit. Which is true most shops at best will inspect it and test the pressure at best when rebuilding. Mind you from the time I brought it back to finding this out about the drum he had the truck for 4 days and supposedly hooked up the computer and took fluid samples to tell me he thinks it's the drum, he had not dropped the transmission, in order to find out for sure if it was the drum Daniel wanted me to pay $2600 up front to drop the transmission. Which is how much I paid for him to rebuild it. When I asked Daniel what if it's not the drum and it's something under warranty I still have to pay $2600 he said we can work something out. Never before have I ever heard of having to pay upfront for a repair that may or may not be covered under warranty because the mechanic doesn't even know what part has failed. At this point I decided to take it to another shop because once I pay the money you can tell me whatever you want failed and it's not covered by the warranty and now I'm out the money. So I decided to have my truck towed to another shop that was recommended by my daughter that rebuilt her transmission 2 years ago and hasn't had issues since. They rebuilt it for less than what Daniel wanted to drop my transmission for to tell me if it was the drum or not. I told them how Daniel thinks it's the drum without even seeing it, and if it was the drum to replace it. Well it wasn't the drum, the tech took it for a test drive and said he didn't think it was a drum, he dropped the trans and found the 3rd and 4th gear clutch plates were burnt up and the drum was fine. Those clutch plates were part of the rebuild done by Kings Automotive and were covered under there warranty but obviously they did not want to drop the transmission open it back up to find out without being paid up front. Like I said they will take care of the nickel and dime repairs they can do with out dropping the trans. But if it's something internal good luck they will want the money up front at that point good luck. And if it's warranty work plan on being without your vehicle for at least a week if you're lucky. Save yourself the money and headache and go elsewhere especially if it's transmission related

Within 48 hours and 49 miles of me getting my vehicle back from them my check engine light came on and a message saying engine compartments are hot. Heath the service manager had me sit in their shop for 3 hours because the shop foreman was servicing other vehicles, only to tell me my spark plugs had residue over them and fouled out. I advised Heath that I didn't bring my car in with bad spark plugs on a check engine light. Heath stated it must be coincidental. I advised Heath when the initial inspection was completed there wasn't any concerns for misfires. Heath turned me away. I was forced to attempt to resolve the issue on my own.
