We accidentally dropped a drivers license and it slipped into a tiny slot in the center console. It was impossible to retrieve it but when we stopped into Midas for help they dropped everything to assist us. It involved disassembling the entire console, something which we could have never done on our own! The kindness and care that they showed us is so greatly appreciated! Very disappointed. Visiting from out of state and brought out vehicle in. Told them what to check for and 7 hours and $114 later, nothing is fixed. They "diagnosed" everything but what we told them to check. If we could we would give negative stars. The mechanic was pleasant and helpful. read more

Manager Kai is really nice. They are fairly priced and super convenient especially in this situation!!!!! I had nail in the inner sidewall of my tire. It actually became dislodged while rolling along conveyor at my favorite car wash on Pine Ridge Rd. Not their fault and glad it happened there. The head of screw got caught in track and manager found the screw in tunnel and check video to confirm. Jose put the spare on for me and called Kai at midas. Matt, wife, & staff did everything customer wise that every business should, but they are one of the few rare ones in the area that get it. I actually had to drive down from the middle of Lee county to get a faulty part replaced that the Miami Gardens midas installed. No slam on Miami Gardens midas; they ponied up and ordered the part while Matt's crew did all the labor. After a few snaafu's with the part, Matt's CREW came THROUGH. Having hung in their waiting room for a while, I got a chance to see how they treated everyone that walked in the door. Believe me, Matt and his Midas crew can help you out whether it be for mufflers, tires, vehicle inspections and diagnosis, pretty much any service your car needs. Believe me, I've left some bad reviews on yelp AND for other car service places, but only exemplaries for the Naples Midas. Thanks Matt. I literally made this yelp account to explain how terrible this place is. I started getting some squeals when braking, so I took in my car to see what I needed. I was told I needed to resurface my rotors, and new brake pads. After paying hundreds of dollars, my brakes still squeal more than before. I've taken my car back 4 times, and every single time they send me away with horrible sounding brakes. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They are incompetent and give you attitude when their work is poor. Disgraceful. read more

I brought my 2006 Explorer in for an oil change and asked them to check on some issues that I was unable to diagnose. The team at Midas gave me an itemized list of all needed repairs to get my Explorer running at its best. They were able to do everything I needed at a reasonable price. The owners are on site every day getting their hands dirty with the mechanics. This is not a big faceless chain. Midas' staff are hard-working local mechanics. This place is the worst. They're open from 8-"1:30ish" on SATURDAY, not open on Sundays, and they don't take appointments. I had a headlight installed here and managed to get in. They installed it improperly and moisture has been leaking into it. Because I work during the week like just about everyone, I've gone multiple times before 10am on Saturday to have their mistake fixed and they've turned me away. This franchise isn't interested in your business. Look elsewhere. read more

"I made an appointment to have my oil changed and my brakes checked. We were disappointed in the service, the lack of knowledge and most of all the lack of oil they did not put in our car....yes I said no oil was added to our car. We left from the shop and drove to Disney with no oil in our car. The check engine light came on , why our car did not blow up is beyond me. We pulled over and saw that not a drop of oil was in the car. Called Midas and they said bring it in. I would not bring my bike to them let alone a car. Worst place ever! Scheduled an appointment during the week for tires on Saturday. Got up early on Saturday morning and arrived on time for the appointment. They did not have the tires, said they were only available at Cosco, I left and bought them down the street effortlessly. I would never endorse this shop! Had a horrible experience here. Would strongly recommend you stay away from this place at all cost. I had my vehicle towed in after it wouldn't start do to a anti theft light on the dash that I was sure was some type of computer security issue. Before the car even got there I explained the problem to them. I got a call back an hour later saying they needed to do an oil change before anything else and that my concerns about an anti theft problems were irrelevant and the problem was for sure mechanical. They said they also needed to do a $120 diagnostic service. So right of the bat I was at $180. A few hours later I came in to the shop to find my Jeep on a lift, all four of my tires off the jeep and my SHOCKS removed. I was then told my SKIM module (security key ignition module) was bad, and that it would be $429 for a new module and labor to program it. I was told that the mechanic took three hours to "get into" the skim module. Which if anyone knows it's a matter of hooking the car up to a small computer (engine fault code reader) and reading the code the car emits, which with the required security pin for the vehicle (which I provided) would maybe take all of 5 minutes and wouldn't require the car to be put on a lift let alone remove the shocks lol. Anyway I decided not to have them order a new SKIM module as I was a little suspicious of they're findings THANK GOD because they completely misdiagnosed the actual problem! It turns out my SKIM module was not damaged at all and that it was a BAD PCM (power control module). So I called the owner and explained the misdiagnoses and after some back and forth he did agree to refund me the 120$ diagnostic fee. Lol I went in to pick up the check and he says rudely "I hope we won't be a problem anymore". Not hey sorry for wasting your time and money. I can only imagine what would have happened if I decided to go ahead and pay for a new SKIM module, then when they installed it and told me oh I'm sorry your PCM is also bad that will be another $500. Im sure they've gotten away with similar things a couple other times. Just super sketchy and sad that places operate like this. read more

I came here to have my brakes changed on my 07 Audi. The process went fine but when I received my car back the brakes were still making a screeching sound, my brake light was still flashing, and my parking break malfunctioned so that light was flashing as well, so I decided to take it to another shop. Turns out Midas did not rotate my rotors and did hook my car up to the computer like they were supposed to (which can mess up the whole brake system) and now all 4 of my rotors need to be replaced plus diagnostic work for the parking break. I am not saying this is a bad place to take your car, I just wished they informed me that they didn't know how to properly change my brakes so I could have taken it elsewhere. Now it's going to cost me double the amount to fix what they messed up. Very disappointed!!!! read more

Had a timing belt done here in 2011. After less than 20,000 miles it broke, destroying my car's engine, my car is now totaled. A good timing belt should easily last 80,000 miles. I called the store and the person I spoke with politely explained that this shop changed owners since I had the work done and told me he could do nothing and to contact corporate. I got an email from Mike Buschhoff from corporate saying that the shop was a privately owned franchise and that corporate Midas could not help me. To sum it up: my car is now dead at the shop with a 3000 dollar repair bill as a direct result of Midas and they are willing to do nothing about it, very dishonest, dishonorable, and disappointing. read more

I HAVE been a LOYAL customer with Midas for a while now and have been taking my car to get the oil changed there for YEARS now. Recently, ever since the ownership has changed I've had nothing but PROBLEMS with this place. Because I am female, the people who now run this Midas have taken it upon themselves to add EXTRA (unnecessary) CHARGES to my invoice thinking that I know nothing about cars when in fact I know a little more than I let on. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I let it go once. Again, I went today to get my oil changed and they charged me an extra 8 dollars (last time it was only $3.72 extra) for a "special internal" oil filter. Not only that but I had a coupon that said the oil change would only be $19.95 (with the obvious taxes and disposal fees of about 2 dollars) with all the fees they added extra into my invoice my total amounted just short of a dollar and a half of the full price for an oil change there. I took it upon my self to go to my cars DEALERSHIP and ask them myself, about the "special internal" oil filter, to which they told me that there was NO such thing and that my car had a STANDARD oil filter (just as I had initially suspected) I even got paperwork from my dealership that shows what kind of oil filter it needs. Needless to say, the new management is INCOMPETENT and SEXIST, I will be taking this up with corporate offices sending them copies of previous invoices (that aren't charging me the oil filter vs. the ones that ARE with the new management) read more
