I have never been treated as rudely than I was at midas Midland today. Not the first time. But usually will give another chance I brought my car in together my turn signals fixed at 7am. Was told they could do it. 3 hrs later I was told ot needed more attention ave that it would cost more. I told them ok, then was told we're unable to do it today cause it was not an easy fix. When I picked my car up I was met by Ryan who told me I did not give him permission to go further on and that my car was already put off the bay Then he made ne feel like an idiot ave told me to get my car and go because I asked why it was not gonna be taken care of today. Midas in Midland. Pulled in parking lot full of cars expected a long wait, "how can I help you?" WOW ok. I explain I started hearing grinding in the front left yesterday and I'm into the rotor for sure and how long before you can get me in? "Not a problem we can get you in right now." Ok nice you have the parts in stock? "Yes sir if not I can have them here in 10 minutes" sweet thank you. Couple minutes later "Sir? Your estimate is ready. Looks like your caliper is seized up and will need replaced as well" ok let's do it thank you. 2 rotors, pads on both sides, and the caliper on the drivers side all done in just a couple hours. after explaining the service I needed, which was a diagnosis on a high-pitched squeal coming from my engine bay. I went to the waiting room. They said it'd be an hour wait. They finally drove my car into the shop almost an hour and 10 minutes later. I guess they couldn't figure out the squeak so they came back and let me know that. "Hey we couldn't get the belt to squeak but we did notice your water pump is leaking and that could be the reason why and that the belt is being covered in coolant and so forth. Anyways they wrapped it up and charged me $179 dollars for this. not to mention I had to decline these outrageous services offered. They quoted me over 1100 dollars to replace my water pump, belt, and replace thermostat/get a coolant flush. I just up and left. because they clearly had no idea what they were talking about. The so called leak was the Air conditioning conde. it's 90 degrees outside for crying out loud. I just had the thermostat replaced and a coolant flush during my most recent oil change as well. As I was leaving, they didn't even have my keys with me. They handed me my piece of paper with this outrageous price. I walked outside of my car had its hood open and windows down with the keys in the freaking cupholder. Theres about 10-15 people just Walking around and they're gonna have my stuff out here like this. give me my keys with my car locked up in a decent parking spot. It's just sitting outside the shop with the hood open still telling me that it's good to go like really. Just overall terrible experience. And not to mention being charged FOR THE CAR SITTING OUTSIDE FOR AN HOUR? It took them 20 minutes to come up with that bull crap and they charged me for the hour. read more

I really thought Jaime the manager at Midas in Midland,Tx. was my friend so to speak. One little issue you bring to him as a customer he holds this weird internal grudge where 1 or 2 years later he tells you "im not gonna work on your vehicle anymore" then hes all cool after a while. I mean my vehicle has issues no joke but hello...help me out cause I aint got the money for all the issues it has, but lets chip away at it. $300 $400 repair. Let me save $ for a $900 repair. Ok.. I love the service Midas gives ok..Anywhere in America...youll get it done legit. SO!! My point is this is one of the most little boy mental man child Mgr thats bi-polar or I trigger something he doesnt like and denies me service. I mean its a 2010. Yes..it has 350k miles but why blame the miles just cause yall forgot to put a seal that is always supposed to be changed on a cv joint . I mean once this other mechanic told me that I called Jaime and Billy on it and Jaime doesnt want to work on my cars...THEN!! Iam humble about it.. Previously, since Jaime didnt want to "touch my vehicle" I had to go to this dude on Fairgrounds Rd tgat Autozone recommended. Yesterday, I took my vehicle to Midas, Jaime checked it out said its my hub. I took it to this other guy. Said the Fairgrounds guy didnt put grease in the hub when he installed it. I mean Jaime is saying that my vehicle is "unsafe to be on the road". I believe that since Jaime refused to work on it just cause he has a stick up his rear end, well, ill have to check with my lawyer Sir see if I have grounds to implicate you for negligence. I own a digital software company that provides an platform for rides. I also rent out my vehicle. Why does your manager demonstrate this childlike behavior. We just want our vehicles worked on. Not sucked out and come out of there broke. For the most part Sir, Jaime is weird thats what this complaint is about here and one thing that he said last word we spoke yesterday was " all your cars are unsafe to be on the road". Im like really?? Besides this vehicle which other. His response was the Chevy. I told him NO SIR.NO SIR! He said "have a good day" and walked off WTH. On record. Ive taken 4 vehicles to him. And hes weird man to say "all my vehicles are unsafe". I belive this is borderline lible. Its not true. Again, ill check with my lawyer. Ive done business at Midas for years!! Ive taken many a company oil field truck for repairs and service. You are losing a loyal customer instead of just helping me chip away at a dumb hub that I had replaced by autozone for being defective and paid this mechanic $100. Excellent service been getting my oil changed there for years. With no problems. Staff is always nice.

They had my SUV for 4 hours for a oil change. I told them that I wanted the tires rotated. Put back tires on the front, and the front tires on the back. I had to call them to find out if my car was ready. When I finally got my car they had not rotated the tires. It was the only reason I went to Midas. I could of gotten an oil change at 5 minute oil for the same money and in just a few minutes. They wanted to do a break job. They can't even do want is part of their service. They don't have their shit together. Don't waste your time with these yahoo's. read more

I called around to get my brakes done on my Ram 2500. This is the only place that could get it done today. I really appreciated it.

Showed up to get an oil change and told them I would wait for the repair to get done. While I waited in reception I saw my car had been moved to the parking lot. I waited 15 min for them to call my name but the never did. I don't know how long it was there before I noticed but when I went to check I was told they are working one ticket at a time. When I was the only in the waiting room. Then upon being cashed out I was given a receipt and was not told about any of the work that was done, or any issues found or additional work needed. So far I've been waiting 3 days for them to fix THERE repair of a tranny removal where the speedometer was not hooked up properly and the tranny now won't shift properly. I will change my review if get the job done right , they are getting rude and making us wait! Why they could get us in right away for the initial repair but now that it's not correct we sit at the end of the line!! Very by the book on labor rates but you will pay 100% more for parts than what they pay for them. My next review will be more detailed ,, stay tuned NOW being the next day , I would like to say that my issues have been resolved to my satisfaction,the manager got involved immediately and resolved it. Total scammers will give you any line necessary to upsell repairs. Please test drive your car before paying. It took four times for them to repair the brakes. Picked the car up twice all seemed okay for the 2 miles home then taking the kids to school the brake peddle went all the way to the floor. I got there right before they opened, i saw the guy in front of me go in thru the side so i went in also. You would have thought i was committing a crime. Jaime was the rudest person ever. I apologized several times, and then he tried to explain why. My estimate was short of 5,000 to fix my brakes and replace the motor mounts. I checked to see what the motor mounts cost and they were 145.00. They don't need the business because they have customers like Bosworth that can afford to take their trucks there. I had my wife's car in for brake repair. I insisted NO Chinese manufactured parts. They went out of their way to call around and find brake pads made in India. They even called Roger's Ford and Motorcraft was made in China. If your car is out of warrantee these guys will go the extra mile to follow your instructions. Well Done. read more

Arrived at 9 on a Wednesday for a simple tire rotation and brake check. By 11:30 my car was still sitting where I had parked it 2 and a half hours later. The funny thing is I called before I went over and they told me there would be very little wait. Call me stupid or crazy but God help me after waiting 2 and a half hours I had to see how it went out. If I didn't need to hit the unsafe icy northern roads on a road trip the next day I'd have given them the finger. Anyways so it hits 12:30 and they tell me my brakes need 400 dollars worth of work. After research I determine it should cost about 250 total. (Was only front brakes) So I'm overpaying 150 for the privilege of sitting in the shitty wait room for 4 hours and waste an entire day. Avoid this place because there's nothing but conniving charlatans and thieves within who will force you to wait exorbitantly long periods of time then bend you over with ridiculously jacked up prices. So finally my car is done at 1:20 long after every other single person had come and left. And after 4:30 hours of waiting I was then forced to wait for a succession of calls before I could pay the extortion that they called a bill and leave. This was hands down by far my worst experience ever from a place that wasn't government own or run. Seriously never ever go here read more

stay away from this place!!! Had have my rear brakes replaced was way over charged in the first place 530.00 for rear brakes. I know everything is a little over priced in midland. I get to Lubbock and I loose my brakes, I make it to a just for brakes shop. After inspection they show me the bolts that hold brake caliper in place are both missing. The wheel was the only thing that kept it from falling all the way off. This resulted in the caliper blowing out the seals. Know I'm having to have caliper replaced, pads replaced and have to have the rotor turned due to the wear this caused to them. Midas is a joke. read more

Went in to get my oil changed. They were busy as usual. I asked if they could go ahead & do my alignment or would I have to come back another time? I figured they would tell me to come back, b/c they are always crazy busy!!!! The guy said no we will do that as well!!! I was sooo excited!!!! They have ALWAYS been VERY friendly!!!! I can not say enough nice things about this place and the men who work here! Thought I was going to have to have over 1k worth of work done to my truck quoted by other shops. They got me in immediately! Turns out it's just the battery! Switched it out right then! Awesome prices and great service. Even fixed where the oil change place I had left that same day spilled oil all over my engine and completely forgot to fill up my tires w air much less check the pressure!! I have my tires rotated, oil changed, new fuel filter and air filter installed every month, because I drive for a living. On average at a different shops I get this full service done for $184. This month I went to Midas for the exact same routine. It took them 3 hours, and they charged me $527, and they didn't even rotate the tires. The fuel filter used is the F56117 and costs $56 and takes all of 5 minutes to swap. They charged $119.99 for the filter, and $109.99 for the "labor". I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. They are absolute criminals. I called corporate, and I'm filing a complaint with the BBB. I'll also be posting this review on their site and google. read more

These guys explain everything and why it needs fixing. Jamie, store manager is the guy that helps me every time i'm there. I had a great experience with Jamie Garcia, Store Manager at the Midas shop in Midland. Had a headlight go out yet it was somewhat involved to get to the spot to replace it, so none of the quick-lube places could help and the full-service repair shops were asking me to drop the car off until they could get to it. Despite being very busy, Midas worked me in efficiently for the ~30 minute repair job so that I could make a road trip that had long been planned. In my experience, they seem to be good folks working hard to provide good service. read more

This is the most unorganized business I have ever visited. My first time experience I called to make an appointment and arrived 15 minutes ahead of time. One hour later they still hadn't got my truck in for an oil change and was told it would be another 30 minutes so I left and went elsewhere. I decided to try them again because everyone deserves a second chance. I set up an appointment request for the next day and their website said they would call me within one hour to confirm . Two hours later, no call back so I called them. They told me to come down now and they could get me right in. It took me 5 minutes to get there. Upon arrival I see cars backed up waiting for their turn. I decided to wait my turn in line at the counter to see if I could get my truck in. 20 minutes later, I still couldn't talk to one of the guys at the counter, they were too busy. I came in on a Friday for an oil change and A/C check. I was told it would take 45 minutes to get my car in, so I was expecting to be there for 2 and a half hours max. After 30 minutes they grab my car, all is good. Then 2 hours pass. I walk outside and my car is waiting behind a white SUV. Ask how long my car will take to finish. "I don't know." No time is given. Ask how long the SUV in front of me will take. "I don't know." No time is given. Another worker walks out and says that the vehicle won't be done until Monday. So I ask if that's when my car will be done. They say it will take another hour. I wait another hour, and finally, they're just starting to work on it. At least 10 other people have come in and got their vehicles fixed at this point. They finish after an hour. The total time it took to do an oil change and A/C check: 4 and a half hours. No times or updates given to me the entire time. Terrible Service. Unprofessional. Please think about going to another place instead. read more

This place is horrible I went go get an oil change early in the morning and was there at 7:10 a.m. and they supposedly open at 7:30 and I waited there till 7:50 but nothing. The guy up atvtje front desk is not helpful he thinks that I don't know anything about cars. He also got my last name wrong which is not professional, also what good does it to have a $19.99 coupon and its still going to be like $27.00!! The last time I went up there they put in the wrong oil in my friend's truck. Never will I go here again avis, Walmart, Advance and even Kent Kwik have better service than Midas!! read more

My wife took her car Midas for a wheel alignment. She received a call an hour later stating that the springs and struts had to be replaced before the alignment could be completed and quoted her $1,200.00 for total repairs. We took the car to another more reputable location and was told that my wife was lied to and the car did not need the additional repairs. The people at the Midland location are not to be trusted and will take advantage of anyone that does not question their work. read more
