The manager here, is Ernest. Don't let his menacing face scare you. :) Actually he really nice and did many extras to my car (I came in for $19.95 oil change.) They rotated my tires for free, topped of all my fluids . Turned of the maintenance light. Even checked the air in all my tires, including my spare. These guys are straight and wont' rip you off. My service technician was Jordon, and he spent quite a while trying to track down the low tire pressure on my dash. It was the spare tire. Don't ever go here. Went to get an oil change back in July and was told that the front brake pads and rotors needed replaced and since I had a fairly new car I wanted to keep it up to maintenance. Now five months later I hear a grinding noise coming from the front of the car and took it to get looked at with another repair shop and was told I needed front brake pads and rotors replaced again!!!! Will be making a visit back to this location this week to see what they have to say about the situation read more

I took my car in to this location and was told I needed an alternator and battery. I was told it would cost $877.00. After talking with my son who was in an auto parts store, I discovered those parts were only $200.00 for the alternator and $124.00 for the battery. I called and asked why I was being charged over $500.00 above the parts cost for a job that only takes 2 hours at the most. I was told they have a fixed price and they'd already started on my vehicle. After complaining more, the manager said he would do it for $771.98, still over $400.00 the cost of parts. I had no choice, but to pay it. I hope to prevent someone else getting overcharged like this. I will never use Midas again. read more

BEWARE: I just had my oil changed there in a pinch. I usually don't go there, but had a coupon and they're close. When the oil change was done, I was informed that my rear brakes were worn down, and needed to be replaced ASAP. Not that I was getting close, but that I really needed to get it done soon or risk tearing up the rotors. He gave me an estimate for brake job, rotor turning job as well as a fuel injector service (unnecessary) for over $200. Worried, I took it to a trusted guy at Exhaust Pro who does this job for a lot less $. He said not only were the rear brakes not worn down, but that they were only at the 50% mark. The folks at this Midas location are just not trustworthy. read more

Used this place several times, always satisfied. Last week took my wife's Scion FRS in to the dealer for an oil change. They recommended brakes as well. Pads and resurfacing rotors to the tune of 650.00. Well I said I wanted a second opinion. Took the car to Midas, got the EXACT same service done for OVER 200 bucks less. For those in the back OVER 200 DOLLARS LESS! Anyone got an extra two hundy they wanna blow just for the privilege of having Toyota on Nicholasville keep your car a day and a half? (Btw Midas had it done in less than a day.) No brainer. If I need basic stuff done, hell from now on if I need anything done that's not under warranty, going to Midas on Saron. Cheers! read more

I went seeking advice about an issue I was having with my brakes. aggravated and needing the problem remedied, I foolishly let the aggressive and pushy man working install two brake calibers - which soon failed afterwards, leaving my brakes to feel almost nonexistent. I ended up having to have the parts replaced. I was hesitant to let the man work on my vehicle and should have never allowed him anywhere near my car. he also gave some sage advice like "don't f--- with the dealership" and how he had been thrown out of a dealership after cursing at the staff and accusing them of lying to his relative (who had same type of vehicle as myself). this was said to me after the work was completed. do not go hear and if you do call someone you trust and get a second opinion. read more

Very rude. Went in with a coupon for an oil change, the guy at the counter stated "where did you get this?" Which normally wouldn't cause me to leave a bad review, however his tone was not ok. Instead of checking if they could take the coupon, he said no and went back to doing what he was doing. Very poor customer service. read more
