If I could leave ALL five stars shaded out, I would! I had my car towed to Midas, due to having a left broken outer tire rod. I was told the price for the part and labor and informed they could NOT do the alignment due to my car being too close to the ground and the shop not being equip with a new alignment machine. I spoke with the owner after being quoted a higher price the following day. The owner of this shop is purchasing car parts and drastically up charging customers for parts and labor. I was quoted two different prices and when she was confronted about up charging me/customers, she refused my business. I'm aware of the upcharge, due to being told by a representative from a warranty company, which has worked with the shop in the past. The owner also was upset because I didn't want my car placed on wood pieces/cardboard in order to manually complete an alignment, which was going to cost more than $120.00 "because it was going to take a longer to do manually".. She became furious because I refused the alignment. She refused all repairs and threatened me to get my car off the property by 5:00 (same day) or she was going to charge me storage thereafter. Mind you my car was towed there and could not be driven. I was told this information at 12:18 p.m., while at work until 5:00 p.m. Great workers, but the owners are terrible, unprofessional, and know nothing about a vehicles. I would not give this place another red cent!! Beware of the outrageous prices quoted, if you deal with the RUDE female owner! She attempted to go back and forth with me, over-talk me and apparently misunderstands the business world! She went on to insult me as if I didn't have the means to hire an attorney or pay for the services. Midas Owner fails to realize: No customers, no money, bills don't get paid and out of business to go!! Ive been taking my vechiles to Midas for decades all over the U.S., and this Midas in Grand Prairie, Texas, is by far, the worse car repair shop I've been to in my 25 years on this earth! read more

No one wants to spend money on maintenance for their cars. You become instantly irritated thinking about the cost, fees, and wait time. It's an unbearable chore that we all must do to keep our vehicles running. My previous experience at another Midas was less than pleasant. So today I tried another location. I'm actually glad that I did. I was greeted by David. Really great guy with excellent customer service. He let me know immediately that the wait was going to be loooong. He would do his best but couldn't guarantee a shorter wait. Fair enough. I had no real plans. Plus, this day was dedicated to car service and wait times. Being a super cool guy. David allowed me to make myself at home. He handed me the remote to the U-Verse (score this my home now), gave me some coffee, and checked on me periodically. When you're sitting for hours you tend to observe a lot. David was friendly to every customer. He would find ways to save people money. I listened to one of his calls. Apparently, the lady didn't know her car was still under warranty. David informed her that while he would love to have her business. She needed to go to the dealership and save her money. Good job David! I actually had to walk in the bay. You know how it goes. You go in for breaks and they find other ish. Well, my right axle was busted. Saw it for myself. Ugh! More money to spend. Well David figured out a way to save me some cash. I like you David. Fun fact: David is the ultimate foodie. Which makes this review extra special. David sat with me and gave me the run down on all his favorite spots. We shared our love of seafood and good burgers. He had me looking up several places to try. Who knew I would find a fellow foodie at Midas. I must say I will return to this location. This visit has restored my faith in Midas. read more

Came with weird brake noise. Shields up, Capt Kirk. We're about to taken advantage of. Steve talked me through the reason my brakes squealed and said everything was good. Daughter is taking the vehicle on road trip and I wanted peace of mind. And it did not take a penny. Thank you Midas and Steve. I will be back. read more

I am a young girl who probably looks like I know nothing about cars, I came into Midas simply for an oil change and it took them well over an hour for them to finish. Then they told me it was part of their procedure to inspect my car and told me both my breaks were running thin and I was going to need to replace them for over $600. Little did they know I got an inspection an hour prior from another place off of carrier and they said everything was perfect in my car. My car is also only 3 years old. They will try to con you for your money and take advantage of younger less experienced woman who seem to have money. Do not go to them! read more

This place was great! Not only did they fix my car on the same day I brought it in, Steve wasn't rude or condescending like some of the other repair shops I've visited in the past. He was very professional and straightforward with letting me know what the problem was, how long it would take and the cost. I will definitely visit this place again. read more

Had an appointment, showed up on time to find out that they were not servicing vehicles. Had to go next door to have my oil changed. Will not use this Midas again. Very unprofessional. read more

They were very friendly and provided great service. I got my oil changed here which was at a great price and included a lot in the price. The only minus is that they left a lot of spots (grease or something) on my steering wheel, driver door and middle compartment but nothing a little cleaning can't fix which is why I only subtracted one star. read more

****NEW OWNERS BEGINNING OCTOBER 2018. OLD REVIEWS ARE FOR THE PREVIOUS OWNER****First, I was told to come to their location because they were knowledgeable but when I arrived, the new owner had to GOOGLE my truck issues. Then I was told by the Midas owner that my truck does not have spark plug wires so when I paid $400.00+ for an oil change and tune up, the wires were not changed. I read my owners manual, worked with a mechanic and called Autozone just to find out that my truck HAS spark plug wires. I called the location and the owner continued to state that my 1500 GMC doesn't have wires.  I had one of the wires my hand as he was telling me this. Also, I HAVE A YUKON DENALI THAT HAS WIRES!!! I am very disappointed with the horrible service I received at this location.  The people there are incompetent. While the competent mechanic looked over my vehicle, he showed me that to change my spark plugs, you have to disconnect the wires from the coil pack! So he removed one of the imaginary wires to show me. As he pulled out the wires, 3 of 8 wires were barely reattched. They were just laying there. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! Any shade tree mechanic can change your oil or your brakes. These folks are not experts! read more

Not only did they price match and go below all other shops, they continued to check on my time of service and offer refreshments and snacks. The guys at this shop really know what they're doing. The techs are certified, and the managers are straight shooters. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need, and will let you know what your car needs and doesn't need. I went there after twoo other shops couldn't find the problem with my Cruze. They fixed it, pretty cheap too. I will always bring my cars here from now on. read more

Feb 12th, 2013. Tom and his crew were super kind to us. My daughter and I are from Mesquite and we were in Grand Prairie trying to purchase a vehicle. Tom gave us his undivided attention and thoroughly checked out the car and gave us his professional opinion. It was thumbs up from there.
