Before I started going to this shop I went to Sears Auto. After taking an estimate to them from Sears and the manager working his magic, I saved quite a bit of money and was extremely pleased with the service plus the shop manager gave me a ride home so I didn't have to wait. Another time I took my wife's car for an oil change on a random Saturday without an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in and the receptionist was really nice. Today I took my truck to have the service engine light checked around 7am. I had an appointment at 5:30 that evening, by 8:30 they called me with a quote and a complete explanation of the issue. Not surprisingly they had a solution that cost less and made more sense than the Meinecke shop I went to for the free code scan. The diagnostics alone was about $40 less at Midas than Meinecke. They also offered to record my fuel levels to avoid future issues. The person that worked with me on my car met me in the morning, called me with the quote, talked to me when I called back with a question and talked to me when I picked up my car at the end of the day. My 5:30 appointment basically took 20 minutes as I picked up my car at 5:50. I have no plans on changing my shop even if I move across town. These guys know what they're doing, they're honest and they are the best service shop value that I've found any where in town. I highly recommend them! read more

I went in for a tire inspection today to determine whether I would need a replacement or a repair and had my car tire repaired within 20 min. at a very reasonable price. The gentleman helping me, Bob, was extremely thorough in answering my questions while efficiently managing the entire flow of the shop so his customers were updated as soon as possible. Although, this review isn't so much about my experience but what I witnessed while waiting for my repair. Bob came and sat down to speak to a customer also waiting to hear about their cars issues and contrary to the stereotype of auto repair shops upselling services or products that may not be deemed necessary, Bob was far from stereotype, he was honest. The customer's car issues were still covered under the factory warranty and without hesitation began the conversation with making the customer aware that they should take their car back to the dealership because it will be repaired for free under their warranty. Bob was happy to provide the service at their price but didn't feel right moving forward with this customers repairs without having that conversation first. As a person in the sales world myself, that interaction speaks volume to his commitment in providing the best customer service. I don't ever give 5 stars because no company is perfect. However the experience I had last week at Midas(Port Washington) left a very positive opinion and I would absolutely recommend them and will bring our other cars to them. I brought my son's car in for brakes and the initial inspection was free and was done very quickly. I told them my issue and they clearly defined what the issue was and why it was happening. Once I was given a price they understood that I needed to make a few calls and confirm what I was being quoted and what I found was the price I was quoted, was in line and very fair. There were also no additional charges or price changes later and no games. Once they started the work it was completed in a timely manner. The bottom line is nobody likes spending big money on your car but when you need it done, it's great to know there is a place like Midas, where you can have the work don't correctly, professionally, timely and with fair pricing. read more

I've written about Midas before, but I have to sing their praises yet again. Bob and John are perhaps the best people we have ever worked with as far as our cars go - we have always brought them our vehicles - even the crappy one. Because of their honesty, I got rid of a caddy that was draining me dry and bought a 14 Ram 1500 Big Horn, as recommended by John - his knowledge on trucks is astounding and he's as honest as they come - as is Bob! I trust both Bob and John with our cars and always enjoy the conversation! I have never had problems with any of the fixes from any of the mechanics - I trust them all! Let me start out with an intro. Driving from out of town. 2 children in car. Camper attached. Car broke down on highway! We called Midas and from the start, we were treated very kindly. They told us to have the car towed to their shop and immediately diagnosed the problem from over the phone. Alex, who is a manager, was phenomenal! Not only did he use his own vehicle to help tow our camper off the highway, but he drove our family to a hotel. Who does that now a days!!! The next morning, he had the car fixed and had us on our way and saved our vacation! Alex, along with the entire Midas shop were friendly, honest, speedy, and had good follow through on everything they promised. A big thank you to Alex and the Midas team. This place is awesome! I don't leave many review but this time I can't resist. Midas in Glendale is dealership quality service for half the cost! I called in yesterday to get my noisy rear struts replaced on my 2010 Lexus RX350. I dropped it off the following morning and my car was done within 2 hours. Alex was awesome to work with. He quickly figured out the solution and kept me up to date every step of the way. I love honest people and this guy passed all of my tests! I even saved his number as "Alex MyCarGuy Midas" incase something else comes up. I drove over every bump on the way home and my suspensions was solid! Great experience! I love this place, and I can't emphasize that enough. Every car place I have been to talked down to me because I was a woman, or high pressured me into spending a lot of money on my car when it was not necessary. The guys at this Midas are super friendly, talk to me straight about what I need and how long I can put off certain problems with estimates, physically SHOW me what is going on with my car so I can keep an eye on it, and the labor is incredibly affordable. They are also very open with their schedule so that's a huge bonus. If you are reasonable, they are reasonable, and that is the best kind of place to go to. read more

The crew at the Glendale Midas have been wonderful. I haven't historically been going there for routine maintenance because I usually don't schedule it in advance and the location is too busy to accept walk-ins. (Come to find out, it's busy because they are awesome.) After I took my car there last month for some non-routine work, I've decided it's my go-to place for my car work. I took my Acura TL to this Midas for the first time last week. I had been having issues with the brakes, and I needed my 60,000 mile service. I was gonna go to the dealer for this service and found out Midas also does it. I was a little apprehensive having someone else do the maintenance service but they used the same charts and specs that the Acura dealer uses to do the service. They took care of the Brakes and the 60k service for WAY less than the dealer. Ill go back for other services. Mark and the crew were great! read more

Excellent customer service! Maggie and John were very helpful. I got a flat on my way to work today; I put my spare on and went to midas. I've never been to a Midas but today being Saturday and a holiday weekend there wasn't anything open. I'm very happy I went there and will go there in the future. From time to time (when I don't have free oil change coupons from my car dealer), I go to Midas for oil change. Every single time they do a great job, quickly and efficiently, giving me all necessary information after the job was done. My last visit was probably the best experience that I have had with them. I came without an appointment, was told that it may take around 90 minutes, but was out and very happy in 45 minutes. I recommend Midas wholeheartedly! read more

Excellent experience My experience with an auto shop has never been as pleasant or as fast as this Midas shop here. Just when i lost all hope in getting my brake light fixed and arranging a safety inspection in the same day the pros at this shop got me in right away and enlighten me on the fact i needed a new battery.
