As randomly I drove by this location, I noticed on their window signs that they did AC repairs. My husband needed to have his recharged and had called place or two but they were not super helpful or easy to get into. It was a Saturday morning, and I called the hubs and let him know. He was able to come down pretty much right that moment. The freon recharge was performed pretty quickly. My husband walked over to Starbuck across the street and me for coffee while we waited. I dropped him back off at Midas after we enjoyed our hot bean water. I waited in my car for him just in case. A few minutes later he came to my window and handed me a business card for Mike Malone. He said, this guy is great! He was so nice and the whole experience was a breeze. Great customer service and they were even able to help him with a coupon for the services performed. If I could give this shop a lower review, I would. They're not transparent about their pricing and couldn't provide an explanation when I asked for clarification. They also offered additional services (spark plug replacement) for $700 more than the average price to change them. The guy working at the front desk claimed he didn't work there and works construction (unprofessional). They also put a sticker with the wrong mileage and follow up information & expect me to go back into the shop for clarification. Who knows if they used the right oil for my car. Took my car in for catalytic converter replacement. Went to pick up car and it was $350 more than the quote and they said oh we didnt call to tell you I said no. Then car still smells like sulfur so taje it back in and they said it needs a flush for $375 like why didnt you say that when you replaced it. They also said they'd make it right. Charging me another $375 is not making it right. They also failed to tell me my brakes needed to be done they also said oh we didnt tell you. I came here for inspection of an auxiliary battery malfunction in my MB CLA 250. They called and said I needed a new battery and quoted me over $500 with install. Mind you, this is a smaller battery that costs around $100. They quoted me $239 for the battery alone, touting it had a 4 year warranty. Like I need that for a $100 battery. I took it to another chain down the street and they will charge me around $200, battery and install. I don't know if this place just sees you're a woman and inflates their quote and rips off everyone, but do not come here. The reviews speak volumes. read more

This place is a revolving door for staffing. At one point, they had a great team there but all of them are now gone. I've had a lot of work done on my older car there. I had my alternator checked recently and was given an invoice afterwards- alternator is fine but imagine my surprise when I later saw on the invoice that the tie rods were loose, serpentine belt is cracked, engine mounts are cracked. I went back to the shop, they inspected it and found that this was an error but that scared me. The next time I went back for a complimentary inspection, I was given the estimate of $100 but I pointed out that it complimentary. Sam mumbled something that I wasn't being charged. They test drove my car and checked it but I didn't feel overly confident and will take it somewhere else. I'd be very careful before taking your car here. read more

Posting this review in hopes management will contact me to resolve this issue. I have made numerous attempts to reach management (Patrick). Left corporate a call. We had a full cat-back exhaust system installed on a brand new vehicle. Exhaust supplied by us. Vehicle was driven and found that it later had an exhaust leak of some sort. Which set a code in the vehicle, that prompted us to take in for inspection. When inspected by another repair shop. We leaned to find that the exhaust was improperly installed by being welded on instead of using the factory clamps that came with the vehicle factory exhaust. Also we found a hole in the down pipe caused by the welder working on the exhaust which had set a code off on this vehicle. Came down to bad welds and damage caused by Midas. This Midas has changed management in the past year or so and seems to have promptly gone down hill, unfortunately. You're going to encounter overpriced and underwhelming services and staff that feels arrogant and untrustworthy. I had my brake pads and rotors replaced only to have the rotors warp a few months later after minimal mileage on the vehicle. I took it to a neighborhood garage who recommended going back to Midas so they could make it right. Midas contacted the part shop, who did cover the rotors, but Midas would not cover the labor to fix the problem parts they installed. I ended up shelling out more to get the error fixed and won't be coming back. read more

My car tire light came on and I noticed the valve was half way covered so it wouldn't keep air in. Called and spoke with Michael. He was extremely nice and said fill it with lots of air and rush over I'll fix it-I was 1.3 miles away at a gas station. Unfortunately the tire didn't make it as I drove in. He kindly put the spare on while my toddler was screaming off the top of her lungs that she wants to help. He said you can let her out and she can help me. He said he had kids so he knows how it is. He was so kind and told her exactly what he's doing so she could learn since she was so curious. I highly recommend this place and Michael, you are super caring and kind! Thank you so much! Over a month ago, I took my AUDI for a simple oil change. I picked up my car after the service and the next day, I noticed oil leaking from the bottom of car. Oil leaked all over the floor of my brand new house I had only lived in 1 week! Since I had already driven to the Bay Area to begin my work week, I reluctantly took my car in to the dealership to prevent further issue after hemorrhaging oil. The tech at AUDI told me the oil had leaked all over the underside of my car because MIDAS hadn't put the oil cap on properly after filling. They had to clean the underside of the car and essentially re-do the oil change MIDAS had botched. Therefore, I paid TWICE for an oil change. I have called MIDAS about 1 to 2 times a week since mid-December with no response as to when I can expect a refund of my oil change. This is horrendous and unacceptable customer service. I have spoken with Jeff and Eric and nothing has been done. They have shown no sense of urgency with regards to returning my money. As a manager myself, I know how service recovery works and this is the worst service recovery I have ever experienced. I should not have to call your business after you made an error to receive proper compensation. I will never take my car back to this establishment. read more

INCOMPETENT SERVICE, MISTREATMENT AND DISHONEST TECHNICIANS I had my truck towed to the Greenback Midas location in the last week of September 2023. A couple days later I picked up the vehicle and paid $858.13 for a fuel pump replacement. The following week I returned due to a check engine light and gas cap warning. I had to return three additional times due to same issue and was told all three times that the issue was resolved. I was assisted by Mike all 3 times, who was very helpful and polite. However, the issue was not resolved. I called the location and was informed that Mike had transferred to the Foothill store. I took the truck back to Greenback and was assisted by another service rep who was also very helpful and polite. The vehicle was there for two days. The gentleman called me and told me they could not resolve the issue. He said to come and pick up the vehicle and take it to a dealer to diagnose and repair, and if it was determined that it was something resulting from the work done by Midas, they would take care of it. I contacted Mike at the Foothill store who told me to take it to his location. Unable to do so immediately, I called a couple days later to let Mike know I was taking it in and was informed that Mike had quit. The man I spoke to said that the best diagnostics tech had returned to the Greenback location. I was told to contact Spencer there. I returned the vehicle to the Greenback Midas where it remained for another two days. Again, I was told to pick up my truck. Spencer said that the computer was bad and unable to read fuel levels correctly and that he could get one for $1500.00. He told me to take it to a dealer and keep him posted and if it was something they did, they would take care of it. Still not convinced that it was unrelated to the fuel pump, or that it was a computer issue as Spencer stated, I took it to ACS Automotive Calibration Specialists. They removed the bed and discovered a bad connector and after-market fuel pump was causing the problem. ACS contacted Spencer on my behalf. They reported that Spencer denied that Midas had installed an after-market fuel pump. They stated that he was rude and said that he was off the next day and needed to speak to his manager, but he would be back on Thursday. I contacted him myself on Thursday, and he was immediately rude and accused ACS of being dishonest. He denied that the connector could be broken, and he told me that he had never said to ACS that he needed to speak to his manager. Spencer then chastised me for not taking the truck to a dealer as he had said to do. I told him that I had given Midas 5 opportunities to fix the truck and he told me that they had only had my vehicle at the Greenback location once. He told me I was lying about him and the other gentleman telling me that Midas would take care of it if it was to be determined that the fuel pump replacement was the issue. When I asked what I should do next, Spencer was dismissive, shrugged it off and stated, "Well it's fixed now." I became upset and told him that I was going to "make your life hell" implying that I would be filing complaints. Spencer immediately began saying that I was threatening physical harm and put the phone on speaker and began yelling, "Say it again! Say it again!" I was very upset and told him that he is "a coward and a liar" and I hung up the phone. I would like to be transparent and add that up until my interactions with Spencer, everyone at Midas had been very helpful and professional, which is why I continued to trust them to rectify the situation. I wrote a letter (this review) and took it to the Greenback Midas with the following items as evidence of the work performed: * Mopar Tech 2.0 scans before and after the pump replacement by ACS * Parts receipt for the pump and broken connector * Pictures of the broken connector * Amounts paid to Midas for the erroneous repair Unfortunately, I doubt the letter ever made it to management. Hence, I am providing this information in good faith in hopes that the proper actions will be taken by Midas to resolve this matter, to make adjustments to how customers are treated, and to avoid any further actions needing to be taken on my part to obtain reimbursement for my costs. read more

Being very knowledgeable of car repair this Poor manage establishment is far from a professional business! Replacing parts on my car that did not needed to be replace with non Factory parts, whithout my Permission! I brought the car in because I didn't have the tool. I explained this to Midas, With hopes they understood that I knew exactly what was wrong with a vehicle and knew what needed to be done. Michael (if I remember his name correctly) knew exactly what was wrong the second I mentioned the symptoms. I was given a prompt appointment for the next day, and the costs matched the estimate 100%. Pricimg was very fair! The Midas team had the issue fixed in a couple hours, and was great at explaining exactly what they had done. Very prompt and extremely courteous staff! Brought my 2003 Ranger in on a Thurs in early December of 2022 for a misfire code. They told me I needed new plugs and wires even though I informed them I already tried that. The guy said, " that's where they had to start." At this point I knew I was in trouble but had to have my truck for work so told them to go ahead. Got a call on Monday and was told that the plugs and wires didn't fix the problem but they diagnosed a manifold gasket leak of some kind with a smoke test and they needed to replace gaskets. No idea how that could cause a misfire but I said ok. At this point I'm at 1900 bucks to them plus a rental car. Finally on Tuesday I get a call saying the codes are gone and the truck is running good, just has some vibration but that's probably because it's old. Though worried about the "vibration," dropped of my rental and went to Midas to get my truck. Paid my 1900 dollar bill, fired up the engine and guess what, there's the misfire code and the truck was running like it did when I dropped it off. So after 5 days and lots of wasted money, I got my truck back with nothing fixed. Had my nephew follow me over to Scotty's and they diagnosed it and fixed it in one day. Turned out to be just a coil pack which is a simple diagnosis for any real auto repair shop. The Midas Method of diagnosis is throw parts at it and collect money until they fix it or you give up. Don't waste your time calling corporate to file a complaint either. Just a third party contractor who answers complaints and sends Midas a report. Then they have the same guy give you a call who took your money in the first place. He told me everything they did I needed anyway so he couldn't refund my money. Had a 10am appointment to get AC checked. After waiting almost 1.5 hours I decided to check the status of the car because I had been waiting outside around the corner the whole time. As I approached the shop I noticed my car was still sitting outside. When I asked the guy at the counter for an update he said they just pulled it in. Obviously they hadn't just pulled it in because it was still outside sitting in the exact location as I parked it. He then told me it would take another hour to have it looked at.
