Cuddle bug

We adopted a dog from an animal shelter. We had no idea what we were in for. After a day at the house he, the dog became a bit more than we could handle. Jumping, biting, some aggressive like tendencies. Fully prepared to return him to the shelter until we were introduced to Yan. OMG! He came out the next day. This dog - cane corso / lab mix had met his match. Yan worked with him for 3 days right away and we already saw beg changes. We did a board and train with Yan for 1 week and holy cow we have a new dog. We have learned how to work with him and he's learned how to become one of the best family dogs. We couldn't be more excited to have our new guy with us and without Yan's expertise, I seriously doubt we'd still have the dog. Yan is professional, knowledgeable, respectful and trust worthy. He's definitely one of the good ones. Thank you for all you have done for us.

The owner does need to be diligent with taking their dog to the trainings (we kind of fell off at the end but it was okay) but as long as you stick with it, your dog will learn new skills and will be better behaved than before. We can literally walk our dog without a leash now, I never thought that would be possible. She will sit in her place when people come over and we are always getting compliments on how good she is. We can do things in the front yard and have her stay in the garage and she won't run after other dogs that walk by or other other people or children. She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. It's funny because she was a really wild dog before and now that she's trained everybody loves her. overall the training here was worth it and we are really happy that we did it!

I still regret it a few years later. She was being buzzed for behaviors she didn't understand. It was punishment rather than training. The trainers drank the kool-aid and are inexperienced, The group classes were an absolute mess. Owners were confused and just zapped away without proper training and guidance, I pulled my dog out immediately. If you truly love your dog, and want to learn proper communication, consider positive reinforcement. The only situation I 'maybe' consider this is a pup with aggressive behavior. Otherwise, I would NEVER recommend this type of training. NEVER.

There are plenty of training areas outdoors, space to run around, as well as a splash pad pool area for pups to swim and play. Training classes were both hybrid indoors and outdoors and Briana is truly amazing at what she does. She has the best approach when it comes to training your dog and I love how thorough and informative she is. Almost every session you attend, at some point you have to demonstrate in front of the class things that you've been working on with your dog. What I love about Briana is if you do something incorrectly she does not make you feel bad, she simply corrects, redirects and then compliments once it's done right. Luna loved going to "school" and learning new things as well as playing with other dogs after the training classes were over with for the day. These classes were so important and really helped us better understand her and furthermore I think she loved wanting to learn as well. We have seen such improvement in her demeanor and behavior and will continue to reinforce what we've learned at Dog Joy. We hope to sign Luna up for more classes in the future.

Their trainer - Donna Wasielewski - clearly LOVES dogs and working with them! She's the best! Donna does an outstanding job of teaching them, and teaching us how to work with them between training sessions. The guidance and hands-on experience my wife and I get during each session make it fun for us, too. AND, the fact that Donna comes to us and works with the pups in our home is wonderful! She updated me constantly, which gave me so much peace of mind, and she also took the time to explain what she was doing and how she was training him in real time so that I could continue reinforcing everything at home. She truly treated Walt like he was her own. He came home feeling like a new dog in the best possible way. He learned how to go potty outside, better boundaries through clear yes/no guidance, and so much about appropriate socialization from spending time with her dog, Fayze. I can already see such a difference in his confidence, behavior, and ability to understand what is expected of him. Donna is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient, and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. I feel so lucky that I found her during such an important and formative time in Walt's life. I would trust her with him again in a heartbeat. 10/10 recommend!

Dogworx is the best! When I started looking for training camps, one of my coworkers recommended…read morethem to me. I am so glad I took his advice. I have a rescued border collie mix, and I had a challenging experience with her since adoption. She was pretty afraid of people, and being a border collie, she could get away quickly if she wanted to. I wanted to be confident when bringing her to trails and on sidewalks (without worrying she'd jump on someone or otherwise flip out.) She went to Dogworx for 4 weeks, and Jess and Maria were so helpful. They sent updates throughout and were communicative when I asked questions. She came back way more relaxed, and they showed me a lot of coping mechanisms and tricks to help her navigate situations that stressed her out. After I picked her up, I was struggling to get her to behave for me the way she had for them, and they offered unlimited follow-up lessons. We've worked pretty hard, and over the last few weeks I literally haven't gone on a walk without someone saying what a well-behaved dog she is. 10/10 recommend.

We now have three dogs, who have all trained with Jessy. You can see the joy they have when training with her. Highly recommend sending your dog to Jessy because they will become more fulfilled, better trained, and you and your pup will know each other more than you did before.

Having seen Catherine interact with not only her own dogs, but client dogs, I can personally say she is knowledgeable beyond belief and you can completely trust you are in excellent hands (and paws) with The Ranch For Canine Training and Behavior. This facility is immaculate. There is plenty of parking and her indoor facility is well lit and very well cared for. Catherine's knowledge extends way beyond basic training. She has handled and titled multiple dogs in conformation, obedience and protection work. This is a very big deal as many trainers have not successfully competed with and titled dogs to the level she has. She knows canine structure and behavior very well. These qualities are very hard to come by in a trainer. Not only the above, but she is great with communication on the human front. I challenge you to meet a more caring, loving, detail oriented dog trainer! She is fantastic with communication on the human level. Catherine recently opened a lovely new facility on Hwy 290 just off RR12 and not only does she do private instruction, but also group classes and she brings in experts for training on pet massage, etc. I look forward to taking my puggy back for further certifications and classes with Catherine. She truly is a "dog whisperer" and her patient, yet commanding methods will ensure dogs (and their owners) of all ages, shapes and sizes can learn to be the best they can be! Thank you Catherine!!
