Steer clear of this place. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Beforehand, I marked my wheels because they had previously claimed to rotate my tires when they hadn't. Sure enough, they didn't rotate them this time either. When I confronted them around 5:15 PM, they gave me a weak excuse for why the rotation wasn't done and told me I'd have to come back the next day so another technician could do it. Instead of taking 15 extra minutes to correct a mistake after being called out, they chose to send me away and inconvenience me even more. Very disappointing experience. I had a terrible experience at Midas. I went in for an overheating issue they had done an inspection and had told me it was the thermostat the first time. They also mentioned I will need new spark plugs in the future. They went ahead and replaced my thermostat plus I got an alignment while I was there, no spark plugs were replaced. A couple months later I went in again for the same issue the car was overheating. They noticed on their end they had replaced the thermostat so they told me they would do a coolant flush and that it was the water pump and needed to be replaced which I didn't even see on invoice . They went ahead and did the replacement and repair plus another other repair which are on the invoice provided in the images. I go back 6 days later because the car still is overheating heating even after their inspection report and repairs. They call me later that day that they will keep it til the morning and see what they can figure out. The car was hot when I returned to Midas for them to see what was going on and they kept it all day because it was still over heating. They call me in the morning saying it was good. Naturally I drive it for a good 30 minutes and once again it overheats. It seems like they just waited overnight and car wasn't actually checked and in the morning of course it wouldn't overheat or get hot because it hadn't been used for a good 15 hours. When I go back they had told me it could be the radiator and they had told me about repairing the spark plugs this time. Basically they did a full repair . I got a coolant flush. I got ANOTHER thermostat replacement a water pump a radiator and radiator cap, spark plugs oil change you name it the car still had problems after all that and they had it for two days and told me my car was not turning on anymore. I told them there was no way I took them a car that was running and could turn on and now they can't figure out how to get it to turn on and work. They apologized and said they couldn't figure it out they are trying everything but if they couldn't they would see what they can do about a refund. My frustration is the fact that they did so many repairs on my truck just for it to continue to overheat. I took my car to find an issue and get it inspected as I thought Midas was a respectable known business but I have been treated unprofessionally in total I have wasted 3000$. That is an insane amount and I have to deal with this problem still because it was not able to be addressed? 3000$ is no joke 3000$ is a lot of money I had been ubering while waiting for my car and I am still ubering now because the fear of something major happening because it continues to overheat what am I supposed to do? Who do I turn to? I am so displeased and in disbelief that after all that money they disregarded my concerns and just left me with a truck even worse than when I brought it to them. I am down so much money and couldn't get a straight answer and help. I wish I could speak to the owner or manager or someone about this it's so much money and stress to deal with and nothing was fixed... now they are stating it's something else... why am I getting an inspection if they are just guessing on what it could be and I'm paying large amounts of money for no reason. I have taken it once to get an alternator and it was 700$ as well . They told me about replacing the belt tensioner this time and they wouldn't charge me for labor. They stated the part was about 450$ and when I went to check the price of the part it was about 150 why am I getting over charged what is going on. Please feel free to reach out to me Midas. If I could give 10 stars, I would! I brought my car in for a rumbling issue, and it turned out to be a major safety issue, as well as a big enough fiasco that it would've been a nightmare had the manager here not been absolutely amazing. Apparently, the whole underside of my car is made of rust! (That's what driving in Utah winters will do I guess). So the parts that needed to be replaced simply would not budge, so they had to replace the larger part that what was broken was attached to- which of course had to be ordered in from out of state. Through the whole process, the manager Ray was amazing- he talked me through exactly what each issue was, what they were doing to take care of it, and let me know at each step how pricing was going to be affected. Then he went even further above and beyond in having the parts overnighted so I'd get my car back sooner, and had one of his techs drive to the dealership themselves to get it rather than waiting on the dealership. And when my car was ready for pickup he showed me the parts they'd taken out and talked me through where the issues were, so I knew exactly what they'd done on my car and why it was needed. Finally, he let me know other issues my car has (it's an old car, with lots and lots of problems), letting me know that they'd be needed to be taken care of eventually but weren't immediately necessary for safety. I've never had a mechanic not try to push more repairs on me to up the coat, but Ray did everything in his power to keep my cost down. These guys worked so so hard to get my car back to be as fast as possible, and we're just amazing through the whole process. I could not be more grateful for these guys, and definitely will be coming back when my car inevitably needs more repairs. read more

I had rotors and brake pads changed at this location. Within 13,000 miles my pads were down to metal and it cost me about $850 @ the time. I am told by brakes specialist that pads are supposed to last 40 thousands miles, and it might have been the installation that was faulty. Now I am calling to get my invoice from my visite, as the dealership is requesting to see how much of the pads were left when they were replaced. I thought he was doing it while I was giving him my email address on the phone, so I called back when I didn't see anything in my emails, , but the person @ this location is telling me he is TOO BUSY to send it by email. Meanwhile I was there a few times in the past, and there is only one customer waiting. This person couldn't be more rude. read more

I'm sure this is a great spot- reasonable price for an oil change with the online coupon. It is a bit out of the way with being on one side of a freeway/stroad so make sure to navi through the nearby neighborhood if coming from the north. My biggest complaint was not being told when my car was ready. Shop didn't seem overly busy when I was there. I requested a call when my car was ready to go so I could go about my day in an orderly fashion, but I ended up having to wait over 2 and a half hours. I figured there was a huge line but there was not. Not being notified in a timely manner AND having to call back first in order to get news about my car sucked. Maybe it was done in 30 minutes, maybe it took 2 hours, no idea. Perhaps I should've called sooner to confirm but having to waste that much of my day walking around without my vehicle was definitely not a highlight. Overall, might come back, might not. POOR customer service. I went online and made an appt to get my breaks checked. I got a response e mail saying I would hear back in 30 minutes. I waited heard nothing and decided to drive over to the shop got there at 4:30 or so. The place was CLOSED. The next week I called and made an appt with Rick. He asked what kind of car I drove I said Corvette. I showed up sat morning at 8:00am giving myself 1 hour to get this done. He says to me we do NOT work on classic cars! I am traveling and it takes a long time to plan out getting work done on my vehicle. This shop has great reviews and had availability while I was in town, so I set up an appointment to get my brake pads replaced. When I arrived for my 10am appointment, I was told they may not even be able to get to it that day. No call, no email - they just waited until I rolled up to tell me they couldn't honor their appointment. They said they had an opening tomorrow, but he still didn't know if they'd get the work done. Brake pads are quick, routine maintenance. The man at the desk was friendly and apologetic, but that doesn't make up for the time and effort I put into making and getting to this appointment. Great service from Ray A. from my first contact with this Midas shop. I was referred to them by a technician at my car dealership's service department after my catalytic converter was stolen. They welded a cage over my exhaust system after the dealership did the repair. Ray explained everything and gave me a price upfront. I found the price very fair for the peace of mind. He was super nice, friendly, and professional. It only took about an hour and I grabbed some lunch while I waited. We were in SoCal (from NorCal) for business when the truck started making a really weird noise. Sounded like really bad brakes, thought whatever it was that it was going to cost us a lot of $$$. We originally went to the auto shop across the way, but they were super rude. Dennis, at Midas, made time to see us right away. Thinking it was going to be several hours, we walked down the street to get breakfast. 30 minutes after we left, we got a call saying everything was all fixed. Turned out to be just a rock stuck between the heat shield and the brake caliper. Some mechanics would have taken full advantage of the situation to make money, but Dennis was trustworthy & honest.
