I would not use this shop again. I called at 11:30 on Saturday. I was told to come right over and given an appointment by David for 12:00 for a simple tire rotation. A job which normally takes less than 20 minutes. After sitting in the lobby for an hour I asked David why my car is still in the lot and not being worked on. He told me he put cars on the rack in front of me and that his "one" guy was thorough but slow. Took them until shortly after two to finish. I would not have taken the car if they had told me I would have to wait 2 hours for a rotation. On leaving I asked Davis whether he was going to give me a discount coupon or a coupon for a free oil change. Anything to at least try and compensate for talking way longer than it should and wasting a lot of my time for no real reason. A standard practice in other Big O's I have been to where they made serious customer service errors. He said they would take care of me next time. That doesn't help with this time. There will be no next time. Got time to waste use this place. It should never take over 2 hours for a rotation. This is an add on to my review. I was contacted by Megan P. from Big O who promised the area manager was concerned and would be getting back to me. If you can believe it he has never reached out. My review stands. There are better places to go. Very hard ingress and egress for when you have to come and go, so if you have an issue you will blow it off due to the inconvenience. Use anybody else. Woody read more

I had the chance to visit Big O Tires for the first time this morning. From the moment I walked in, Steve was incredibly kind and helpful. Tires and vehicle maintenance are not one of my strong suites and he took the time to explain everything in great detail. I went with the intention of getting the Velozza brand and after talking with Steve, and looking at a comparison of performance and price, I decided to move forward with the Aspen brand. I had a lot of questions regarding tire deterioration, proper care, tread, etc. and he explained everything to me in great detail. He briefed me on the benefits of future maintenance, both vehicle and tire related, with Big O Tires since I purchased my tires there. I'm happy to say that he earned a repeat customer and I plan to use Big O Tires for all of my future vehicle maintenance needs. I was very impressed with the entire crew at the Costa Mesa location. I do hope that you and the company are aware of the awesome "front line" folks you have on staff. Please pass along my thanks and appreciation to Steve and the whole crew. read more

Somehow I always have issues with car repair places. I do have a very old car and I'm a girl and sometimes I get treated like I'm a complete idiot. It gets to the point when they pour too much oil when I come to change my oil and charge me a lot to do so (bad experience in Jiffy Lube). This is just one of numerous examples. Also, last time I've spent over 6 (!!!) hours waiting on 2 car parts replaced when I was promised it would only take one to 2 hours. I had to wait cause it is my only car. Today, at Big O Tires they did everything within exactly 40 minutes (10:25 a.m. - 11:05 a.m.) cause I was in a hurry (needed to go to work) even though there was more work than expected. Everyone was super nice, quick and knowledgable. The price quoted was very reasonable and I was given several options (significantly different amounts). I totally enjoyed the experience and will be back for oil changes, tire rotations and all that. Still seriously hoping to get a new car in couple of months, but for now definitely choosing this place.... read more

Honestly, one of the BEST tire buying experiences I have ever had. So I was in jam, i was heading up to Oregon the next day, my old tires were crap, I called these guys up, they said they could squeeze me in. I spoke to DAVID at the front desk, a really cool/chill/down to earth guy.. We were talking tire sizes; 265 75 16; very helpful, ended up going a slight size bigger; 285 75 16, just a little more meat. They didnt have the exact size in stock and with a couple of hours left in the day i was close to panicking... But David said they vould hook it up. The sent an employee, i think his name was Ian, another homee down to lake forest too pick up the tires.. A couple of hours later i get the call, truck is done, ready to go!! The price was good, service was top notch, I would seriously recommend this location to any person, i have a 3/4 ton truck and the killed it! Thankyou IAN and DAVID and the whole crew at BIG O..These guys rocked it! read more

I had an outstanding experience with Big O Tires that truly exceeded my expectations! Their customer service is absolutely top-notch--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. My two guardian angels, Service Manager Chauncey and Technician Fausto, made my day by quickly installing my car battery. As a woman, I truly appreciated that I didn't feel robbed or taken advantage of, which unfortunately can happen sometimes. Getting back safely on the road to my children is a true blessing, and I'm so grateful for their care and expertise. What impressed me most was their dedication to going above and beyond, even after regular hours. It's rare to find a company that cares so much about their customers' needs and is willing to assist you whenever you need it. If you want reliable tires paired with exceptional service, Big O Tires is the place to go. Highly recommend! read more

This place was great! I was greeted with a warm welcome and was helped right away by Rudy. He was friendly and honest. I didn't feel pressured into purchasing other services that I didn't need. I felt the prices discussed were really fair too. I thought this company only took care of tires, but I had an oil change done while I was there and I'll be back for any future services. One more thing I noticed while waiting for my car an older woman came in and had to leave her car overnight. They took care of her by calling a rental car for her that arrived in 10 min! Even she was surprised by the generous hospitality. Places like this that have wonderful customer service need to be recognized for going above and beyond!! I highly recommend!!!! read more

This review is slightly delayed but a month or so ago I went into Big O Tires on 17th street nearly 10 minutes before they closed freaking out! My tire pressure was steadily decreasing because I had run over a nail and was in need of a patch-up. I was so frazzled and hoping they could patch my tire quickly because I was on my way home and unsure if my car was going to make it. The workers were SO nice and helpful. They stayed past closing to patch my tire for me and were so professional. They helped me out when they didn't have to since they were technically closing but I am so grateful for them because I would have had to call AAA to get me home otherwise. Any time I need something tire/car related, they've got my business from now on. read more

I used to get oil changes at this place. The service was always pretty friendly. However, when my car wouldn't start I had it towed to Big O since I didn't know of a mechanic locally. They looked at my car and told me my engine valves were messed and needed to be sent to a machine shop and would cost me $1400. I decided not to have that done and went to a repair shop near my apartment that had excellent reviews on Yelp. They told me that my timing belt and water pump needed replacement but my engine's valves were just fine. The lesson of this story: I guess go to Big O for just tires not for anything major at all. read more

I was in need for new tires and came in to Big O Tires and was amazed at the customer service that Richard gave me! Quickly told me what my tire options were and which was my best choice... Then with in an hour my car was ready and I didn't have to deal with the sales pitch of 50 things I didn't need... Just a friendly reminder that my front breaks were getting low and that I should probably get them replaced before 3 months! I will see Richard in August to change my breaks! read more

Amazing service, I had a blow out yesterday on the freeway (really scary!) my tire got Chewed up like bubble gum! May I add this is a rental car too. Showed up at BIG O TIRES and explained everything to Oz and he not only heard what I was saying he LISTENED! he didn't sell me any tire he was able to match my tire with what I currently had on. Super happy with the service, now I got a new shop to take my car into and a new service advisory Oz! read more

I had a random issue with my Civic's door handle. I called them first because they do all the work on her. They quoted me $120 to explore with possibility of more to fix. They fixed it for exactly that $120!!! The dealership would have raked me over the coals. Very happy with the quality of service, cost, the level of care during these Covid times, and their sense of humor. And they had her ready at the time they predicted. read more

Time is money, and the employees at Big O tire have no problem wasting my time. Customer service is not something they feel any need to provide. I have taken my car to them twice. I thought the first time may have just been one of those days that got off track for them, so I decided to try them once more. My mistake. There are many more competent auto repair and tire stores. read more

I got a flat tire on labor day weekend. Big O Tires was one of the only places open and I'm so thankful they were- they were really responsive when I called and had questions and were able to patch my tire in a timely manner. customer service was great- they seem to have a nice team. I would definitely go back for future tire needs- great value and super happy with how it went! read more

AMAZING service!!! super helpful, nice and friendly staff!. definitely earned my trust and business. came in for a flat repair and they took care of it for me, they were a bit busy but what good business isn't?! i believe the gentlemen's name was Oz, who helped me and he even went above and beyond by checking all my tire pressure. Thanks a lot BIG O. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Went in for an oil change and they tried to upsell many items I didn't need. The only reason I know this is I had just fixed my brakes about 5k miles prior. Once I got my car home it coincidentally started to leak. Took it to a different place and found out they stripped my oil plug and now I have to fix my oil plan. read more

I had a great experience at Big O Tires in Costa Mesa! They got me in and out quickly, provided excellent service, and were incredibly friendly the whole time. Got my tires here. Done right, balanced and rotated every 5000 miles. Got a tune up, installed air bags, added better schocks and a sway bar. Not all at once but efficiently done every time. Steve and John...bulls...but no bull. I live in CO out here regularly all year and trust my service to this Big-O. Thank You read more
