Gabe took very good care of my wife's BMW. Quick tire fix an had us on the way! Bringing my car back for some repairs as well.

They changed my oil and did an inspection and tire rotation in 30 minutes! Current special was $59. Then they replaced my wiper blades and air filters, which also didn't cost very much. Gabe ordered the filters and they were there in 15 minutes. Everything was done in under an hour. Friendly, fast, efficient, and expert service! Thank you! Update: A few days after my oil change I ran over something on the freeway and something on my car started rattling. I thought it might be a very expensive fix. They did a free inspection, saw there was nothing very wrong with the car, and then adjusted a slightly loose piece of panel. 10-15 minutes to complete the service. I brought my car in to see why it wouldn't start that was on a Friday. I never got my car back until Wednesday and it only needed a battery and some gas. That was over $300 to fix then. They said I need new tires which I don't. My tires are just fine and now my car is shaking when you're driving 40 mph . I do not believe anything that they said. I had my car looked at someone else and they said my tires are fine. They definitely did something to my car because my car wheel is now shaking like crazy when you drive it. It was not like that when I brought it in. Why would it take five days to put a battery in your car and some gas. They never call you back when they say they were either. I had to call every day to see if my car was fixed. Very disappointed!!! I brought my other car in last October and got four tires on it no problem. But for them to do something to my car to try to get more money out of someone is beyond ridiculous. I'm going to contact the Better Business Bureau and make a complaint. read more

I had new tires installed here on May 22, 2025. Due to their negligence and failure to properly install the tires, the front driver-side wheel detached less than 24 hours later while driving at highway speed. This dangerous failure could have caused a serious accident. I cannot recommend this location due to the unsafe and improper workmanship. read more

I had a flat tire from a nail. I went to a Firestone dealer in Columbus and they told me that the hole wasn't fixable and wanted to charge me over $600 to put a new tire on! I came to this Midas location as I was driving back roads to get home from downtown because I had my spare on and one of the bolts for the tire broke when the person who helped me was taking the lug nuts off. Not only did Gabe tell me he could fix the hole, it was done in 10 minutes and he didn't charge me ANYTHING!!! I will be back here for tire and service from now on!!! read more

I took my vehicle to the Midas to flush the fluid. They flushed the fluid but did not fill in, so my engine was running empty. I took my car to another mechanic who discovered that there was NO OIL. So Midas charged me for services that they did not perform, rather worsened it! When I gave them proof, they did not agree so I sued them in court to get my money back. I would protect my car save my wallet, and never step into Midas AGAIN! Terrible quality. read more

I never enjoy going to get work done on my car? Show me someone who does and I'll show you a liar. This Midas is close to the house, so I go for an oil change/tire rotation. And while the quick oil change places can't change your oil in under 10 min like they say, not sure why this place takes over an hour? One day, I'll figure out how long it actually takes to change oil in a car. The manager, Jay, was friendly. Some high pressure sales, which I don't love, but I get it. The shop holds the power. Would not recommend in the slightest. I go in to have brakes check because they were squeaking. Before checking he says "I'll let you know the cost" he just assumed from the start he was going to replace which was very sketchy. Then calls me 8 min later and says it will be 550 for only the front two breaks and that I needed to replace them within the month. I thought this was crazy and I was right. I checked around and breaks are not this expensive. I went to another place in Hilliard and they checked my car and said my car was perfect and in great condition. My brakes do not need replaced and he explained it was just the semimetallic metal making squeak. This place is extremely unprofessional and are liars, I'm so glad I chose not to listen to this schemer. This location was awesome! I called Friday afternoon, 30 minutes before they closed, to make an appointment for new tires. They ordered my tires and had them in for a convenient Monday appointment! I went to Midas on Riverside Dr a few weeks ago. they advertised free tire repair (plug).. I had a slow leak so I went over. they told me I had a nail in the sidewall and it could not be repaired. they said it needed to be replaced. I said I would talk to my husband and see what he said. my husband sent me to a tire guy called DTT Tire in Hilliard. they sell new and used tires and we trust them. I went the next day to DTT tire. I told him I needed a new tire but I wanted a used one to save money. he quoted me $60. then he looked at the tire and showed me the nail. it was in the tread. he said that it could be fixed! he said whoever told you that the nail was in the sidewall lied to you. he repaired the tire and it cost me $20. I was happy that I went to DTT! my husband has bought tires from him for years. you can trust him. he could have easily sold me a tire for $60 but he was honest. unlike Midas. beware of the people who run the Midas on Riverside Dr in Columbus. they are LIARS! read more

Obviously dishonest. Overpriced. Went here to get my muffler replaced. They cost about $400 which was at least $200 more than independent local shops (but I needed my car and had to pay). I called ahead to set things up/pay ahead of time. When I got there and it was time to pay, The man at the desk/phone seemingly "forgot" to take off the $150 he said he would on the phone for me, and when I told him I have the receipt/quote they had emailed me earlier to prove it, he replied, "what, you don't trust me?" As if he's offended that I'm a capable human being who makes sure to get what has been promised me. My advice: don't go here. But if you have to, be sure to keep all your receipts and quotes. Don't get blindsided by employees who smooth talk you out of your wallet. read more

I would not recommend this Midas. I took my car there for an oil leak and to check my breaks. $900+ later I left happily. Almost immediately I noticed my air conditioning stopped working. Since I was short on money I had to wait. Eventually I noticed my oil light would come on in my car when I would accelerate on the on ramp off ram loops. When I got home I checked my dipstick and my car was bone dry, no oil. So I took it back in to get my AC fixed and figure out my oil issue. I was frustrated and annoyed at this point because literally 3 months earlier they supposedly fixed my oil leak. Another $900+ to get the oil leak and AC fixed. While my car is being worked on, the dude up front starts telling me he doesn't think my engine is going to make it to the end of the year. Coincidentally when I got in my car and left, my check engine light came on. I haven't had any problems with this car for 6 years until I took it to this Midas. So now I'm out $1800+ and still have to go get it fixed. So if you have a bunch of money that you just want to get rid of without fixing any issues, this place would be perfect for you. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. i have had several of my vehicles serviced there. I needed an electric fuel pump exchanged on my 1952 Sanford and Son pickup. It is a show vehicle. I had won several awards with it. I was told by the manager, Jay to bring my 1952 pickup there to have my electric fuel pump replaced. I arrived on Dec 15th, 2018. It was a rainy day so I asked of it stayed there could you put it in the garage. He assured me he would. Monday and Tuesday of the following week. I drove by and my pickup was the only vehicle in the lot. Wednesday I get a call and it's Jay to tell me they can't work on the truck. He states Midas is not allowed to work on the truck and I have to come and pick it up. I'm the background I can hear his assistant tell him."Don't tell him that tell him we DO not have the expertise to work on it?" I heard Gabe say. I answered, So your telling me you dont have the expertise to work on a motor with a carburetor and a 2 wire connection? BTW you havent even looked at my truck. It's where I dropped it off for a week...in the rain.?!? Jay then says,"Well if we have to import help we are going to have to charge you more.money by the hour because my staff does not know how to work on your truck. Jay, said, I said...You told me you have a expert staff of mechanics and now your telling me they can't swap out a 2 wire electric fuel pump? So now I go to pick up the truck on 12-22-2018. It rained the entire day before. The truck looks awful. I get the tools and fix the truck myself. I open the truck door and see my keys on the seat. I gave them the keys and they left them on the seat of the truck for the whole week.I am livid. This truck is appraised at 35 000. To top that off, not one person working there offered to give hand or come out of the store to see if I needed anything. One guy was walking in.His name was Randi. He asked with out stopping, How is it going? In a sarcastic., RACIST over tone. I had brought all my vehicals to them. Midas lied to me to get my business for my pickup. I came in here awhile ago just to get some brake pads replaced on the two front tires. I'm a 20-something female with a crappy old car, so I know that I might as well have a big bullseye on my forehead when I step into mechanic shops. That said, the amount of bullcrap and dishonest selling tactics I got at Midas really astounded me. So like I said, all I needed were some new brake pads on the front. I'd already checked out the problem myself, so I knew that the rotors were fine. The back brakes are in rough shape, but it's front wheel drive so that has never affected my ability to stop. I know my car pretty well, so I knew what I needed. So I walk into Midas, told them I needed new front brake pads and nothing else. They insist that they need to do an inspection of the whole system. Okay, fair enough, I kind of expected that. What I didn't expect was for the inspection to take upwards of an hour. So at that point, I'm getting pretty annoyed because, like I said, I've already looked over the whole thing and I know what I need. After the inspection they come in and quote me: 2K+. They insist that the whole brake system needs to be replaced- brakes, rotors, calipers, you name it. And of course, that was utter bullcrap, because everything except the brake pads was more or less fine. And honestly, did they really think they were going to get 2K out of a college student driving a shitty Nissan Sentra? So after haggling for 15 minutes or so, I get them to agree to just replace the front brakepads. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but I really didn't expect it to cost over $250, which it did, even though I had a coupon for 50% off the cost of the brake pads. What a rip-off. I only went to Midas in the first place because I was crunched for time and needed to drive somewhere the next day. Next time, I'll just get a ride and wait until I can take my car somewhere decent. read more

The good: I've had a couple oil changes and the people there are pretty nice and I didn't have to wait too long. They also did a complementary inspection for me which included doing things like putting air in any tires that were low, and replenishing my wiper fluid. Bad experience 1: After the inspection they try to pressure me that I need certain things that I know I didn't - like new wipers. I expect this kind of thing, but mildly annoying. Bad experience 2: I had a slow leak in one of my tires and so asked them to check it out. They found a nail, but told me that it was embedded too deep or something that they couldn't take it out and repair the tire. I would need to buy a whole new tire, and then of course need to rebalance them all. It hesitated because it was really expensive, but I figured I'd probably go back and get it done eventually. I mentioned it to a couple coworkers who said they were full of BS and trying to take advantage of me because I was a girl and don't know a lot about cars. They easily took the nail out and repaired my tire for me with one of those kits you can buy yourself for maybe $10. This was last summer and my tire is fine - I didn't need a new one. Bad experience 3: They make me feel stupid. I HATE that. My car needed to be serviced but I wasn't exactly sure what all the things were that needed to be done, and the guy I spoke with talked down to me and seemed to expect that I should know more instead of trying to help me. I would give a 0 if I could - This place is a PUBLIC HEALTH RISK: Failure to wear masks by all employees or enforcing mask wearing for customers. Failure to require social distancing. No posted signs to keep people safe during a global pandemic. I have an immunocompromised family, I *have* to be extra cautious when I go to public spaces and retail business. This place, wow, next level - all 5 employees not wearing masks, touching faces and working on customers vehicles. I asked an employee to put his mask on before getting into my car, explaining my family situation, he then proceeded to put on a mask, but didn't enforce mask wearing to the other employees working on my car. I then saw him with his mask down, touching his face with his gloves, and I knocked on the window and said they all need to wear masks if they are working on my vehicle. He then said "I can have him put on a mask too if you like" and I'm thinking to myself "Isn't that what you should've done anyways after a customer had told you to be extra careful? Isn't this apart of your care and service and Ohio state enforcement to wear masks and to follow retail compliance orders?" After asking twice for them to be more responsible, I realized they had no care or respect for my well being or my families health, and I refused to have them work on my vehicle and I left the premises. There was also another customer inside without his mask over his face, and no employee enforcing him to wear it. I felt unsafe, disrespected, and disappointed that a retail business would not take Ohio's mask enforcement and social distancing seriously and risk public health. I'll venture to say that *nobody* enjoys wearing masks, but in order to even have your business open right now, and for people to have the services they need, it is REQUIRED for everyone to comply and wear one. I wouldn't go here or recommend this place to anyone. And to any employee or manager of this Midas location - fix your business practices to what is required right now and keep customers safe. You'll also most likely be getting a call or a visit from the Department of Health. read more

Anyone tuned-in to my Discount Tire fiasco will know why I went to Midas for a tire alignment. This Midas location is on my way to work, plus my dad had gotten new tires installed there early this year. Since Discount Tire did almost all they could to correct my tire issues with little positive effect, I decided I had to have my alignment inspected in the case that I was unhappy with Discount Tire for no fault of their own. I first called Tire Kingdom (NTB), which quoted me a $20 inspection or a $75 alignment. No, thanks. I made a list of other companies to call, and Midas was the next one. A very friendly, genuine man answered the phone. We discussed what my car was doing, and, to my surprise, his salesmanship was running at only about 75%. He actually tried talking me out of coming in because the issues were likely caused by bad tires. I told him I had been to Discount Tire four more times, that they rotated my right side, replaced the front left tire, and then rotated my left side. He told me Midas would inspect my alignment for free. Fair enough! I scheduled an appointment for the morning, dropped off my car on the way to work, and requested that it be ready to pick up by lunch time. He said it was no problem. The guy I spoke with wasn't the guy in the store when I dropped off my car, but this other guy was equally friendly. Very chipper for 7:45am. He could schmooze with the best of them. He went over Midas' Courtesy Inspection, which covers a lot. They checked my battery, fluids, tires, and air filter, and maybe some other stuff. He said my steering wheel was off-center and that my engine had a rough idle. All for free, although I didn't expect them to not go ahead with the alignment. At about 9:30am (if I remember correctly) he called me at work and said my alignment was a bit off, but he started trying to sell me on other things. Minus a star. I understand this is normal business for automotive services, but I don't appreciate it. I went to Midas for a tire inspection and alignment. He wanted to flush my coolant system and replace my "streaky" windshield wipers. I told him the alignment was fine for now. The alignment was $80 after tax and shop parts. Not bad, really, considering the free and fairly thorough inspection. read more

I've had nothing but good experiences here. They kept our old Jeep going along, giving advice on what was necessary, and/or for safety, what could be put off, what was a "noise issue" versus a performance issue, etc. We also had an engine light on that came back as an emissions thing that only needs fixable in E-Check counties, which we are not, and that was explained to us as also not necessary. We really appreciated the advice on our older car that we were just trying to keep going and do only what was needed to keep it safe and running. There were plenty of opportunities to upsell or talk us into lots of repairs, but they didn't. Once when we had them recharge the A/C, then a month later it quit working, they repaired the leak and recharged at no charge (we had to ask, reasoning that it was their fault the leak was not found at the first recharge, and they agreed). I've also had good experiences here having a tire plugged, for free (this was after having it serviced at the dealership...who must have had a screw on their floor.) read more

Service was great. I will definitely return for routine maintenance. I had purchased a set of 4 new tires from Tire Rack for my 08 MINI convertible and had them shipped to this location. I came in 1st thing, and they had my car in the lift and wheels off within 20 mins. Unfortunately, two of my valve stems were badly corroded and needed replaced. They explained the situation, called for a price for the parts and let me know what was going on. What was great is that when the local parts supplier said they could deliver the part in a few hours, the manager got in his car and picked them up himself, saving me several hours of waiting... I was delighted! Also, they were able to save the old (functioning) TPMS sensors, which would have cost me an extra $160.00. The instal was professional, the waiting area was clean and accommodating, and the customer service was outstanding!... I'm very happy w/ my experience. read more

They helped us with a punctured tire after hours and this morning we called to see if they had our type of car battery in stock. It's not great, but it's not horrible. Helps to know what you want before you head in because they will try to up-sell the daylights out of you. I needed a fairly modest repair and they acted like I needed a new engine and transmission at the same time. I'm using hyperbole, of course, but you get the point. You can probably do much better in the UA/Grandview Heights area just by reading other reviews of mom-and-pop places before taking your car in for service. read more

So.....Went online & got coupon for oil change AND tire rotation included. Registered for an appointment for same and showed up and dropped car off @ Midas Riverside Dr. near Trabue. They had me in the system as registered for the coupon. Came back to pick up car and didn't see where tires had been rotated, so I asked if tires were rotated. Response: "You didn't ask for that when you dropped car off", even though I registered for same with the coupon online. Even though I said I was there for my "online appointment". Even though they "charged" me for it ON THE INVOICE. Guy was snarky to boot. Won't be back. They are in need of some serious customer service training. read more

Also told me I needed another service, when I said no my uncle will do that the guy at the counter said 'well why didn't he change your oil then?!'and was really condescending! Honestly, I woulda paid to NOT come here. I've moved away and still felt compelled to leave a review to prevent others from coming here. I had a 1pm Appt... no notes on what I was even coming in for either... after three hours (told me it would be about 1-1.5hrs), I decide to head back thinking they must be close to done by now... WRONG. Hadn't even gotten to my car. They tried to make it right by giving me a measly $50 off... which barely covered my Uber, but definitely not my time. The fact they didn't even call to let me know is poor customer service. They asked me to come back the next day... five hours later they finally finish! And yet still managed to even forget to do one of the services I asked. They said they would refill my power steering fluid and do that service for free, which apparently was fine... but I doubt that. Unprofessional all around. Go elsewhere. read more

If I could give less stars, I would. I had new tires put on my car at a different body shop. The guys who put on my tires said that the old ones had irregular wear which probably meant it needed aligned so we made an appointment with Midas to get an alignment done. They did my alignment, said they hardly had to adjust anything and I went on my merry way. Two days later I went back to the shop who put my tires on to get an oil change and, upon doing an inspection, they tell me my new tires are wearing irregularly and that I need an alignment. I tell them that I just had one done and that can't be the case, figuring that they might be trying to con me into something I didn't need. I paid for my oil change and left. On the drive home, I couldn't help but test my car to see if it seemed out of line so I got on the straightest, flattest road I could find and sure enough, car was pulling to the right. I immediately took my car back to Midas to see what was up since they had just aligned it. I will admit, they lifted it and checked the alignment without charging me. However, the same guy who did the original alignment did this one and he tried to tell us that my alignment was fine and needed no adjusting. The only possible thing it could be is a bad tire. My fiancé came with me and asked "if it's not a bad tire, what else could it be?" And the worker said "there's nothing else it could be, it's definitely a bad tire." Under that assumption, my fiancé rotated my tires from driver's side to passenger's side and vice versa thinking that if it was, in fact a bum tire, it would start to pull to the left. It didn't. So before buying an entirely new set of tires (thinking that all tires must've been bad since it was still pulling the same way after rotation [we got the tires, new at an auction]) since my current set was less than a week old, we took my car to a Goodyear shop in my hometown to get a second opinion. Not only did the Goodyear shop charge me $10 less for a full alignment than Midas charged me for a front end alignment, they found that one of the adjustments was off, fixed it and fixed my pulling problem. The guy at Goodyear had no idea that I had been fighting with my car pulling to the right and when I asked him what that adjustment being off would do to my car, he said "your car was probably pulling to the right." So we know that was 100% the cause of the pulling. So, we returned to Midas with a print out sheet of the alignment adjustments (something Goodyear did as part of the routine alignment package -- not something Midas did for us, either time we were there) and asked for our money back from the alignment that they didn't do. The same guy who did our alignment was the one we dealt with and he said that since we didn't bring it back to him to fix the problem, he couldn't refund the money. SERIOUSLY??? Why would we have taken it back to you for a THIRD time in 7 days when you acted like we were nuts the second time and told us it was absolutely nothing else other than a bad tire causing the pulling? They did offer us a free oil change --oh boy! But I didn't want them touching my car. They should have at least given us our money back. If they were decent they would've done that and then paid for the alignment that was done correctly. Their argument was just that they couldn't do anything since they didn't do the adjustment that fixed my car. I've heard insanity defined as doing something over and over again and expecting different results, why would we have taken it back a third time and expected them to treat us any differently and to find something that they either: 1) couldn't find the first TWO times or 2) didn't want to fix so we would buy new tires. Bottom line: this store seems super sketchy and isn't in the business of making things right or fixing their mistakes. Please, God, please take your car anywhere else. read more

Not really satisfied. When I arrived I waited 10+ minutes to be greeted. I presented a coupon for an oil change. It was clear at that point that my attendance wasn't appreciated. 28 minutes later my car was given back with no explanation as to the air pressure in my tires/their condition. No comment as to my fluid levels. No sticker stating when my next oil change should be. I won't be returning. The coupon was for $29 and was advertised to be similar to the Jiffy Lube signature service. I'm not a fan of Jiffy Lube, but they do a better job and they don't typically make me feel bad for using a coupon. read more
