Never again. .. took my van in because it was driving rough, poor acceleration, loud rumbling noises lifting foot off gas pedal when stopped, and stalling. Was charged a little over $1,000 to fix things that now are found to have not been the cause of any of what was going on with my van. Not even a month later and my van stalled and had to be towed back to them. .. all they could say was, "It seems to be fine. It's not doing it now." ... I tell them I have a video of what it was doing to which the guy says, "you can show me all the videos you want but unless it's doing it while its here ...". So I take it for a second opinion and it is fixed, driving smooth, no strange noises, no stalling out. The Midas on Garfield in Clinton Township is amazing. I bring all of my vehicles there for repairs, inspections etc. Everything I bring there STAYS fixed. They've also saved me money and have educated me on my vehicles several times. For example, I just recently bought a used car with an undisclosed oil leak. Midas inspected the car and informed me what it would cost to fix the oil leak and replace spark plugs. Although the dealership did say they would fix the oil leak "Free of charge" The dealership tried to charge me the full cost of the oil leak repair by adding that on to my bill for the spark plugs. Midas informed me about how these repairs would be intertwined and would only cost an additional half hour of work, plus a little over $80 in parts. I called the dealership out on this and it saved me over $600. Midas didn't make a penny on this. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks guys for always being great :) read more

had an 8 am appointment I told them I was waiting for. They have one mechanic working and he drove a customer home, so here I am waiting to even be talked to, what kind of business is this? "EDIT "So the guy comes back after 20 mins. DOES NOT EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR and tells me its the fuel pump and he has to hold it for 24 hours, DIDN'T EVEN GO OUT AND START IT OR ANYTHING. Asks me who took my appointment and when and she shouldn't of told me I could wait. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Signs on the wall saying cash only and if you pay by credit card there is a 4% fee AND the restroom is closed to customers, I never seen a place like this! read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY HERE! Manager is very rude and condescending and the main mechanic has little idea of what he's doing outside of a regular oil change.. I was charged THOUSANDS on 3 seperate occasions within the span of a few months for the same issue... Now I have to take it to a different mechanic and spend thousands more for them to fix the new problems Midas caused by putting a bandaid over the problem but still overcharging me for work not properly done... I would also like to add that Midas had someone come out to actually put the donut on my mom's car. Unfortunately, they drove away without checking the condition of the donut. It was flat and we had to call for roadside assistance anyway. Since then, We also found a much friendlier, better place to take the car for repairs. Took our van in for an oil change. They forgot to put our oil cap on. Our van smelled of fumes for days. Half the oil bubbled out. Refilled the oil and put the cap back on. Brought 2018 VW Tiguan here to have rotors and pads changed guy tried to charge me $810+tax to replace full set of pads and only front rotors had some BS excuse that industry rates have increased and also they were entitled to make money as a business. I just went to a different place and had all 4 pads and rotors replaced for $550 out the door. Midas also charged me $25 for my trouble this place is a complete rip off read more

This is the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with in my entire life. They were supposed to balance and install new tires on my vehicle, they installed them while the mechanic through a fit in the back shop throwing tools and having the shop manager say " every f*cking Friday you pull this same sh#t!". Completely unprofessional and rude staff. The General Manager is rude and short with you and they still didn't balance my tires after I dropped it off a second time. I brought my Dodge Journey in a few weeks ago because of a grinding noise that I was hearing. When I dropped the car off that morning, I feared the worst but when I called to follow up I was told that my car was done. After work, I went to pick my car up and was informed that my heat shield had come loose and they had fixed the problem at no charge! I was recently at this store for a brake problem. The young man was friendly and actually did not It try to oversell items I did not need. He also gave me option on my breaks. With such great service I planned on additional services. Then today I stopped by for a simple oil change. The older man, who must have been the on duty manager was rude and could care less about customer service. His demeanor was to the point that I went to another shop for an oil change and will not return to this Midas for any future needs. I would have given only one star for today's visit, however the young man for a few weeks ago deserves some credit. read more

ZERO STARS! This was the worst establishment I have ever been to. I dropped my car off because the brakes were squeaking. Chris called me later in the day saying that's normal for the materials my brakes are made out of. And that my shoes and hardware are basically brand new. Then, he tried to tell me that they need to be replaced because of some leaking brake fluid. I refused to have it fixed that day, but planned on making an appointment to have it fixed that Friday. When I said no, to fixing it today Chris told me that it was my FUCKING choice and slammed the phone down. The call did not disconnect then i heard him call me a FUCKING IDIOT. Paul the Service Manager had plenty of opportunity to sell me stuff I didn't need (I had a pretty good idea what the car needed) and instead walked me back and showed me exactly what was up. I brought in a car that needed a lot of repairs. I got a new exhaust, tires, heater repair, passenger mirror, air conditioning recharge, turn signal repairs, oil and air filter change, and an electrical problem taken care of. More than what I thought a Midas location would ever be able to do. I was pleasantly surprised on the services they offered! Paul, the service manager, and Carl and his repair crew did an AWESOME job. They reviewed the car, made suggestions on what is needed, did NOT do any sales pressure to repair something that was not needed, they ordered parts that were received the same day so the repair could be done the same day. They honored the appt. times that you can set up in advance on their web site. The were very knowledgeable and knew what was needed and not needed to make the repair. They conducted inspections that did not cost any extra. They offered to drive me home while they did the repairs and called my cell when it was ready to be picked up. They even followed up a few days later with a phone call just to make sure everything was working fine and that I was satisfied with their service.
