Normally I go to a competitor (Take 5) to get my state inspection and car emissions testing done, but I went to two competitor locations only to find crazy long lines at the first place and no state inspector at the second place. After wasting time driving around, I was delighted to find the Midas next door actually did state inspections. Who knew? Not me! Apparently others didn't know either because they were available to help me right away. No one comes to greet you outside, so I just pulled up to one of the empty bay doors, parked, and went into the reception area. A gentleman was behind the counter who greeted me and took care of me immediately. I sat down in the clean, air conditioned room and noticed my car being pulled into a bay for inspection. No wait! How great is that? Four the 10-15 minutes that my car was being inspected, I watched the gentleman at the counter answer the phone, help another customer (also there to get his inspection), and aid his coworkers. The man was all smiles, high energy, and genuinely pleasant to be around. Amazing customer service! I don't recall the amount that I paid, but I think it's a standard fee no matter where you because it is dictated by the state, right? In any case, I was willing to pay whatever to be done with this task and not have to drive to a fourth location. I will certainly keep Midas in mind the next time I need my state inspection. They are a little more of a drive for me, but it is worth it if you don't want to waste your time waiting for service elsewhere. read more

These guys know their stuff! They do stellar work, the prices are reasonable especially considering the quality, and they care. I brought my older car in for spark plug work a few weeks after I had been in for an oil leak repair, and they double checked that the oil repair was holding without being asked. They treat me like a capable, intelligent person whether I come in by myself or with my husband. They did not get upset when I got a second opinion on the oil leak, and even told me that they encourage shopping around. I'll keep coming back. Edit: it drives like a dream now, guys! These guys saved my butt on the tail end of a walmart oil change gone wrong! Walmart did not put my oil filter back in properly, so my engine was bleeding oil, and my car lost oil pressure just down from this Midas location. I rolled up in a bit of a panic. They got me in immediately, helped me document the issue so I could get my money back from Walmart, and were so kind and reassuring. He said I got my car in before it lost enough oil to ruin the engine. I will never get any work done at walmart again, and will bring my car here from now on. Absolutely horrible experience at this Midas. I got a coupon for a $21.99 oil change (see picture that I've uploaded). They informed me that it is up to 5 quarts of oil and would be charging me for an additional quart of oil given the size of my engine. I said that was fine. What they failed to mention is that there is a HAZMAT FEE, MISC fee, labor fee, and shop supply fee. So really my $21.99 oil change ended up being $32.48. I informed them that they were deceptive in their business practice practices and that my oil change should be $21.99 plus the $3.99 for an extra quart of oil plus tax. Nope. $32. I'm only giving 3 stars because Jon who actually worked on my car was wonderful. The wait time, absurd. I give my wait time a 1 star. I called earlier in the morning to make a 12:30 appointment. He said no prob it should be 45min-1hr. I arrived 20 min EARLY to my appointment. So I walked around the corner to get a pedicure while I waited. When I returned I walked up next to Jon and then realized he was working on my car once I sat in the waiting room. This was about 40 min after I initially dropped off my car. And he starts working on my car that's just chillin up in the air! To his defense he was awesome. He actually brought me out to show me what else was wrong on my car instead of just telling me, he explained it so I could easily understand. However I'm STILL sitting here. NOBODY else is here and when I dropped off my car there was ONE person getting their car worked on. Before I even asked, the guy at the desk had pulled up my name in their system and asked how he can help me ! There was a leak in my windshield fluid and they found the leak, fixed it, and then showed me my bald front tires ! (Which I had not looked at myself because I am so busy). They gave me a great tire deal and replaced my front tires plus rotated all of them at no extra charge! The place was clean, great air conditioning in the waiting area, and nice people! I will say that I hate car repair shops. . Mostly because I am female and I find myself often financially taken advantage of. I feel like this place did a good job. From the beginning I talked to Kyle on the phone and he was very nice. He greeted me when I went into the store for which I went to for a routine oil change. I had a coupon for 19.99 oil change and he informed me that would be an extra 3.99 which I knew was commonplace so that was fine. He also said he would be charging me an extra 3.50 because my canister was not the normal spin on type- which made me raise an eyebrow because I have never been charged more because I have my oil canister types. He was very nice and actually brought out the two different types and explained why mine was more expensive. It made sense to me but I was so confused why no one else had ever charge me more. I guess maybe they just included it in the price before? they did find a lot of other things that needed replacing with the car (as do all repair shops. This included the cabin air filter windshield wipers and eventually new tires. I knew that most of those things were cheaper at Autozone or O'Reilly's so I'm going to change them there myself and save some money. they also told me that I had a nail in my tire and said it would cost 15 dollars to repair. I told them I was going to wait on that also. ( I had bought my tires at discount tires so they replace nail damage for free). one of the main reasons I had decided to go here was that, unlike most of the competitors coupons I found a, they included a free tire rotation which I have not had in a long time. He explained to me that they only rotated when it is necessary and my tires for pretty much all want the same so they didn't need a rotation. all was well and good and Iwentl on my way. the slightly strange thing happened was once I got to work Kyle called me and asked when I was getting off work. I asked him what was going on and he said that his guys didn't fix the hole in my tire and he doesn't want me driving around on potentially a flat. This confused me because he had already told me about the damage and I declined fixing it. I told him thanks for the information and I will talk to him later but I ended up taking it to Discount Tire to get it fixed for free. read more

Do not get your car serviced here. I took my Lexus here summer of LAST YEAR to get worked on and in the process they cracked my radiator and messed up many other operations in the engine and tried making me pay for it. On top of that I'm still dealing with the mechanics mistakes to this day. Whoever worked on my car definitely did a terrible job causing me to get a whole new engine because of one mistake. This was also mentioned by many other great mechanics who have looked at the car. So thank you Midas. Thank you for ruining a 15 year old car and costing me thousands of dollars. Midas is a franchised company and I usually have no problems from them but this location has some absolutely horrendous employees at the front desk. I understand that it is not a cut and dry situation to figure out exactly what is wrong with a vehicle and that is not my issue with them. My issue is their customer service. These entitled and privileged laborers have the most arrogant attitudes. As a young black woman they spent the entire conversation talking down to me with sexist and racist tones about repairs they were responsible for. My Nissan Altima was brought in to have the brakes and rotors changed and yet here we are a week later and they still have the vehicle. While it was in their possession, oddly enough my vehicle mysteriously would no longer start. They have no clear solutions and speak to me as if they are doing me a favor for fixing a car that was running before it was left in their possession. Martin and Nick refused to give me their last names or even a number for corporate. I have already filed two formal complaints and will be filing another with the BBB and I will also continue reaching out until I speak with the owner of this location. Being disrespected and discriminated against are things that I will never tolerate or take lightly. read more

I asked if that's why I've been hearing screeching when I back in to a parking space and they said yeah. So I said ok fix it. I honestly think they took advantage of me being a woman with no car knowledge. When I left I still heard the screeching AND now my car squeal while driving at low speeds and turning. I bought a Groupon for $18 for a basic oil change with a brake check, tire balance check, tire rotation, 71 pt inspection and a standard safety check. Great! I'm going to save myself a lot of money, I told myself. I called to confirm that the deal was valid and set up an appointment after all my questions were answered. Or so I thought.. I always get synthetic oil instead of the standard and ever other time I've gotten an oil change the auto service shops (I've gone to all of them including another Midas shop) would simply ask me to pay the the difference between the two services. In this case the basic oil change was listed as $30 while the synthetic oil change was $70. With my awesome math skills I was able to figure out the price difference between the two services would be $40 bucks. OK, I'm fine with that. With the Groupon that I purchased I would be paying a total of $40 bucks, right? WRONG. I spoke with Mike and he tried to charge me $60 with the Groupon and I'm thinking to myself "Wait, if I pay that quoted price and then you add that to the $18 that I already paid for the Groupon I would pay a grand total of $78, which is MORE than the advertised price." I know. I rocked math class. I'm sure I tried to state this scenario at least 5 different ways to help him understand, but each time he's like "I'm not budging. I'm not negotiating this price." And I get that. He thought I was trying to pull a quick one on him. Except I clearly wasn't. This went back and forth for a few minutes and other people had started to come in to get their car serviced. At that point I was like "eff it." Just give me the synthetic at whatever you quote me and we'll figure out later. Luckily, I had a friend pick me up so I wouldn't have to be stranded there. They called me a little over an hour later to tell me that my car was ready AND he said he would drop the price to $47. He was happy when he said that like I would be grateful for his kindness. It still wasn't down to where I wanted it, but it was a lot closer to what I expected. Oh, and they skipped out on the tire rotation because they claimed that 2 of my tires were already worn so I actually didn't get everything that I was promised. This was a horrible experience as I paid more than I expected to pay and got less than what was promised. Unfortunately, for me, a double negative definitely doesn't make for a positive experience with Midas. It sucks because I actually liked Mike, but his inability to see it any other way except for what he believed up in his head really made this experience suck. This Midas shop is officially a crook. Beware if you are a single female. I purchased coupons through my work, so I had taken it in for an oil change with no incident. Then, when my air conditioner went out, I took it back in. They filled it with freon and included a dye to detect the leak, and also informed me of another related air conditioner thing (the tensioner) which also needed fixing. I said ok, go ahead. It cost me over $300. But still, I was ok. I trusted and believed them. I was to bring it back within a week to check out the leak. I brought it back the next week, only to be told that it would cost $1,200 because the low and high arm for the air conditioner needed to be replaced. The guy told me he checked "all of his contacts" and this is just how much these parts are because they have to come from the dealer. Well I have a very good relationship with my dealer, so I took it there 2 days later. I was informed that the entire arms didn't need to be replaced, just the fitting or valve part. It only cost me $140. I firmly believe these guys tried to swindle me because I'm female, and I showed I was willing to pay for things that go wrong. Truth be told, that $1,200 scared me away. I will never take my car back there. Not even to finish out the oil change coupons I bought. They have enough of my money. read more

We decided on 11:30 and the guy on the phone said "Great! See you tomorrow at 11:30." Fair enough. So Friday at 11:30 rolls around, I walk in the shop and say I'm there for my 11:30 oil change appointment. He tells me it'll be a 45 minute wait. I explained to him that I had made an appointment yesterday and I wasn't prepared to wait 45 minutes. He waved a sheet of paper in front of my face, raised his voice, and said "THIS is my appointment sheet and you're not on it. You can wait the 45 minutes or you can come back later." I was livid! It isn't my fault your shop has scheduling issues! I told him that I would not wait and I would not be back. I left and will never go back. read more

They had given me a print out and told me what they had done and what was needed. Usually when I get my oil changed they get you in, out, with an optional thank you. I would totally recommend this location and would give it five stars just on the strength of the employees. Management is the only reason I personally would not come back to this location and is giving a four star rating. However, Roy is the ONLY reason I will come back. He specifically was the only reason my experience was as pleasant as it was. He was engaged the entire THREE HOURS it took for my car to be serviced. Between answering phones, greeting patrons, placing orders, AND doing brake checks, he still managed to keep in communication with coworkers and customers alike. He also maintained a professional and courteous demeanor. I witnessed the manager speak to his employees in the rudest way possible; in front of customers. But the way he spoke to Roy would be the straw that broke the camel's back. I was on the verge of tears watching this man be raked over the coals for doing his job, while doing his job! Roy wears many hats; wears them well, and did not show an ounce of weakness. I applaud him for his patience and grace through every interaction. I highly suggest everyone stay as far away from this Midas as possible. I brought my Dodge Ram in for a squeal coming from the rear end. They wanted the payment in cash which raised an alarm bell. They said it should be no problem to take care of. Soon they tell me to go to autozone and pick up parts for them. I pick up the parts and deliver them. Shortly after I am told they are the wrong size. Jason comes up with a whole bunch of excuses. 9 hours later I get my truck back with no brake pressure, two warning lights on the dash that they told me should magically clear up after 150 miles, and a wasted Saturday. I ended up having a mechanic come over to my home to assist me in bleeding my brakes which could have certainly caused a wreck. Jason said he would call me back Monday and of course never did. I was never entered in to the system for service. One last thing, it's not good to fire an employ in front of your customers. read more

The current guys-Kyle and an older make that run the shop have bad bad business practices and give Midas a horrible name. I called before to make an appointment for Saturday. I went in on Saturday morning and the older guy said I didn't have an appointment. I agreed to come back and when I got my quote for my brakes it was MORE THREE times the normal price. This is the most horrible car repair place I have ever encountered we moved from Las Vegas to Texas before we left Las Vegas we had an oil change and tires rotated. Thy put the air intake module on completely backwards along with wrong plugs which popped the other sensor. on our way to Texas we were stranded in Santa Rosa because they also put into different coolant which made the entire system turn to Jell and ruind the thermostat Midas did not do anything to compensate for their incompetent workers not even so much has a call back it has been 5 months later and still not a peep. We were told two bring the vehicle into another - they said there was another problem which had absolutely nothing to do with what they did with that was a lie because I have never had a problem with my vehicle because I maintain my vehicle that was another $500. I have never been so disgusted in a corporation in my life. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had one of the workers also called my mother a liar because he was wrong and he was called out by a 65 year old woman that has been working with Cadillac for 20 years. Nothing was done to compensate any of the $3,500 spent on repair work from what their employees caused. I am amazed of this situation and the professionalism that Midas does not have. I also find it quite funny that a lawyer called me looking for brant because other customers had similar experiences... Please please please stay away from Midas this is the worst car repair establishment that I have ever came across.
