Massachusetts law requires that the hourly rate be prominently displayed which it is not. Their rate as stated by the district manager Derick is $155.00 per hour, however I was being charged $187.00 per hour. Now you know why it wasn't posted and why it is required by law. When I questioned the district manger his response was they try to add a buffer should the job take longer than the 3.5 hours they quoted me, which is absolutely illegal. Furthermore, should they not go over or under the estimate you will never be informed and will not be refunded. Once you agree to the estimate you are libel for that amount. Again, they are breaking the law and stealing your money. When I questioned the parts price being $300.00 more than what Mercedes quoted me the response was we need money to run the shop and that they generally add forty percent to their cost. To add further insult they required that I pay the inflated part cost before ordering the part and doing the job. They are actual criminals stealing money from you until someone questions them and lie to justify their actions. I was told I was better off going to a Mercedes dealer so they could sweep their actions away with no paperwork on file. Zero. They cut the wires to my headlamps. Then they all stood together in the bay figuring our how to hide it. 2 hours later I was verbally assaulted by an assistant manager. I went to Kia. They immediately saw the damage. $2260 later they had to replace the whole lighting structure. No other fix. I have the damaged lights in my trunk. Got my car back from New England tire. They confirmed it was not a crqcked exhaust manifold and redid the job Midas claimed to have. Have reciept showing their price/actual work performed correctly vs what Midas did to my car and charged me for. Never resolved and they seem happy to charge you for work they didnt do. DO NOT go here to fix your car, they will have you coming back for a new problem every 2 wks and they only manifest after you get your car back. absolute scam. read more

Brought my wife's rouge and now my jeep in for service and had outstanding service both times. Fairly priced for work performed as well as in a timely manager. Was told one part for my jeep took a bit to come back (happens) but still got my jeep back within about 72 hours even when dropping it off last minute on a busy Saturday. I have no idea why they're three stars!?! Shawn was the absolute best today. He was so friendly, personable, and the best manager one could ever hope for. We came in, in an emergency with a broken leaf spring (on a travel trailer), and he was so accommodating and wonderful. The technicians were also incredible and friendly and knew exactly what to do. We went to this establishment to get 2 front tires as our old ones were in rough shape. The manager proceeds to tell us not only was our tires bad, but the whole right upper control arm(ball joint) was broken. Charged us over $500 to fix that even when we told him several times we didn't have that much money. He told us about a loan we could do. The very next day our crank pulley failed us. He then charged us about $700 to fix that. All together he charged us $1700 for things that should've been less than 900. The "new" manager is a scam artist. These guys know their stuff! I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 161,000 miles on it. The car runs great however, I've had some front end noises, clunking, whining, clicking and vibration. I've had it to the dealer, and yes, I'm going to name that dealer, First Jeep in North Attleboro, MA - they told me the transfer case was leaking and I needed a new one, a $5k job! Yeah, right, I'm going to spend $5k on a 14 year old car! Well, I took it to Midas, they told me the transfer case was secure, no leaks and it was the front drive shaft that needed to be rebuilt, less than $500 job. And here I am today, rebuilt driveshaft and no clunking, whining, clicking or vibration in the front end! Drives like a dream again. Highly recommend! read more

Had brakes done at a Midas. Later in life I moved and attempted to visit a new Midas (this one). I started to mention I've done them in the past and that I was having some issues. The guy was very grumpy and rude. Scoffing when I didn't have my paperwork from years ago. When I asked if they would VERIFY what u THINK is wrong compared to what might actually be wrong the guy said "you say the issue is "blank", they'll fix it". He never answered if they would double check as oppose to just doing a full brake job because I said I think that's the issue. When he told me if I had paperwork from the previous place and could save about $80 from it, I asked if I could call and get info for him. He told me don't worry, he will call. For the next 15 minutes he hung out with his buddies in the car repair area. A women came in in the meantime and received help. Her car even made it into the repair area. My car was still sitting where I parked it and he went back to talking instead of addressing me. I called the other location, and immediately received the info I needed to find out. Then I left because of the TERRIBLE customer service experience I had received. I was polite and patient the whole time. He was rude the whole time. read more

Great service, honest people, quick oil change while you wait. I went in for an oil change and asked him to check my squeaky brakes, thinking I had a problem. They took off the tires and brought me to my car so I could see that my rotors were just dry. Love New England weather. It'll squeak now and then but it wasn't a safety issue. John told me I did not need brakes and if I didn't mind the noise it would be fine. They would be lubricated the next time i had my brakes done. I was very pleased with this news. He didn't even ask if I wanted them to lubricate them for me. When I asked, he said around 100 buck because they have to take the whole thing apart to do the lubrication. I'm living with it for now. Honestly i did not like how i walked into the building and the manger had a low/bad attitude. I went into the store to have my tire changed and i ended up getting the wrong tire size I bought from another store. The manger gave me a finger gesture to approach him and wrote my tire size on piece of card board. After that one of the employees came in and asked him if they can add in my spare tire and he automatically said no..so i was pretty much riding with a flat tire when I left cause my tire was losing its air...it took them like 20 min to get my car out and I was literally cringing to get out of there because his unprofessionalism and his body language was unacceptable. read more

Weirdest experience ever lol. Originally I went to get my car worked on for a broken axle. They then told me the car wasn't worth fixing so I left it with them. Title and everything. A week or two later I get harassing phone calls from some lady who can barely speak English. Telling me her husband is the manager of this store and she "lost" the title and other documents. I told her that I sold the car to them legitimately and it's not my problem anymore. She then shows up at my house and is pounding on my door. Creepy, right? Fast forward. Almost THREE years go by. I get a phone call from the Pawtucket police department saying my vehicle has been towed for illegal parking and I'll have to go to the yard to get it. i told the officer I haven't owned the car in years. Brought my own parts and asked for good faith estimate on just Labor to instal rotor and break pads on each wheel, John quoted me for $125. When I picked it up the bill was $250. I challenged them on doubling the good faith estimate and John claimed to have quoted me per axel . The manager got involved and got very hostile claiming he was going to take the break pads off if I did lent pay double the good faith estimate. They have been very helpful in the past and I've brought my car there multiple times but due to this treatments I will never go back . If you choose to go there get a good faith estimate in writing. read more

They can't fix a simple tire leak. I took my car there TWICE and both times within the next DAY the tire was leaking again, and now its leaking faster than before. Don't take your car here, they'll just charge you for doing nothing but making the issue worse. If they cant fix a tire leak, I wouldn't trust them with more complex task. read more

Went there on Saturday. Walked in saying i wanted to get an oil change and have my rear right brake checked. Mechanic test drove the car, brings it back and puts in up on the lift. I asked the counter man why was the car on the lift and said I didn't authorize him to do any work, he could simply look to see whether i needed brakes and he said they needed to see what's going on with the brakes. 30 minutes later I get a quote for over $300 for a brake job on one wheel. He quoted me 3 times the price on parts. I asked why the high markup and he mumbled something about it's all quality parts or something to that effect.. again, he was mumbling! He took me to the car to 'explain' what needed to be done, i guess to justify the price. I told him no thanks. Little did he know, I already knew the cost of the parts because I did the research beforehand. Pads are under $30 each and the rotors are under $40 each. So they bring the car down and he said it'll be $22.95. I asked for what, he said for the oil change. I asked why was the oil change done when I didn't authorize an oil change. I said i was going to buy full synthetic oil but he didn't ask me about the oil change and they just go ahead and put regular oil in my car, assuming that's what i wanted? I was heated! He said he could take the regular oil out and put in the synthetic oil... needless to say I paid him his $22.95 and left. Word of mouth is powerful and social media is a vibrant thing. TELL YOUR GRANNY AND ELDERLY RELATIVES... DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER! They will take advantage of anyone who they think is gullible.
