We called Mid Valley Pest Control yesterday and they went to our place in Winthrop the same day. We worked with Rob who set rodent traps, inside and out and said he would be back and check traps on a regular basis. Very professional and responsive. He even used traps that are pet friendly. I'd appreciate it if you could notify neighbors when you spray. I have animals and am chemically sensitive. Also I grow organic and do not use poisons on my property. I was outside with all 3 of my animals when your technician spayed the fence not 10 feet from me. The smell was awful and I had to rush in side, gather my animals. I have tried to all them several times and their phone system disconnects me every time! Surprisingly, a man called back eventually after seeing that I had called. I told him about the phone issue but it is still not fixed so I cannot call them about a pest problem. I cannot email them either as they do not appear to supply an email address. Almost to the point of laughter - THE most unprofessional owner I have ever worked with. It took weeks to fulfill a request for general pest control. It was only after the 4-5 th call she(?) referred me to the associate that would handle our job personally - let's call him D. D had not received any orders for our pest control request two weeks after we placed them with the 'owner'!!! He did a great job. Almost two weeks LATER 'She' hung up on me twice while trying to settle a service/billing disputes. I paid the bill in full. Believe or not, a couple weeks after that she sent me a bill FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S PROPERTY. I had to contact D to rectify the problem. Almost want to call BBB. read more

I have never had to leave a review for a business before but my experience with Sheri, the owner, was so distressing, I feel that I must. I called Mid Valley Pest Control (MVPC) in early March because I had a hatching of a mysterious insect in my bathroom. MVPC is located in Omak and I live in Winthrop and they try to schedule their trips to the Methow on the same day. When I asked when they were coming to Winthrop next, they said they were not sure but probably the end of the following week. I gave the technician directions to my house and asked them to call me when they knew which day they were coming. In interim, I decided I could not wait another week and used a store- bought pesticide. I then phoned MVPC and left a message on their recorder that I did not need their services after all. I was quite surprised when, a week later, I received a bill for $129.72 that stated they had come and inspected my bathroom. The statement read: "You do not have termites, just ants." There was no mentioning of a spray or treatment of any kind. I phoned them immediately and let them know that I had never heard back from them or seen them at my house and had canceled that service well before "the end of next week." I did not hear back from them but two weeks later received another bill. I went out of town for several weeks and when I returned, there were threats from MVPC that my bill was going to be turned into a collection agency. I just got off the phone with Shari, the owner, where I tried to ask questions and clarify what services I had been charged for. She accused me of stealing from her business, would not let me speak a full sentence and again, threatened to turn me in to a collection agency. She also told me, for the first time, that they had sprayed my bathroom, even though there was no mention of it on my invoice. She was very angry, defensive and threatening. I felt bullied, threatened and shaken up by my interaction and will never, never use MVPC services again. read more

My boyfriend bought a new place up on Highway 155, with an Omak address, that has a mouse problem. He called MVPC and they said they only do "in-town" visits. Not sure exactly what that means or where the "in-town" boundary is, but the place is only ten minutes from Main St. They said they would not send anyone, or if they did it would cost "an arm and a leg." Apparently they service Okanogan, but won't come ten minutes up the hill to service a client. Instead they gave him a list of things he could do, which he is already doing, to catch the mice. When I called to further clarify things, a woman who answered the phone cut me off before I could even ask anything and she said, "Yeah we're not coming up there." Then I said, "Okay but I don't understand--" and she said "Okay goodbye," and then she hung up on me. I called back after she hung up on me and the phone was very obviously picked up and then hung up again immediately. Then I called a third time and received a busy signal. I've never experienced such blatantly awful customer service. read more
