I pawned my watch (movado) a few months back. Got to say the service was good and gentlemen gave me what I wanted for the pawn. Now, the bad part: Once I got my watch back I had it started steaming inside due to perspiration on my wrist. Had the watch for 4 years prior to this and this never happened. This was a gift from my wife and I tried to figure out why it was doing that. I took it to a watch shop and they informed me the back was removed/taken apart. When you give a pawn shop an Item you expect it to not be tampered with. However, Mid Valley Pawn took the back off (I'm assuming to check to see if it was real) but did not put it back together correctly because moisture was getting inside and the watch is now broken. Again, 100% confirmed by the watch repair shop that the back of the Movado was removed and not put back together correctly. $80 pawn now cost me my $500 watch.... This is so sad. Honestly, I cannot believe this happened. I wonder if the can do anything about this since they tampered with it??? read more

This place has some of the friendliest and fairest staff that I've met in the 52 years I've been on this planet... the last thing I would have expected from a pawn shop. I found them on a referral from another place I attempted to sell some exotic precious metals (rhodium bar)... the owner of that place was also a super nice guy, Gabriel at Gabriel's Jewelers in Modesto, and though he wasn't interested in rhodium he pointed me to Mid-Valley Pawn, saying they would probably be interested... they were; would give a fair price... they did; and were a great bunch of people, Zack and Josh... they totally were. I bought some silver bullion there too... the price was the fairest I've seen at the half dozen or so gold/silver places I've visited in the area. I will be heading back down there soon to get more silver. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I'm I'm really tired of all the cheesy other places. Only Mid-Valley for me from now on. read more

For years my parents have done business with Mid Valley Pawn, and as a skeptic and a worrier (living 100s of miles away), I had the need to check them out. Honestly, one of the most genuine, and well managed establishments I have ever had the pleasure of visiting (& doing business). Finally what Turlock needed, a pawn shop! I was tired of going to Atwater or Modesto to sell my excess stuff and this one is right in my backyard! My father passed away recently and my mom wanted to get rid of his tools, this is a much safer option than having someone come to your house to view your item, then sending someone back to rob you later! They just opened but this is the spot to go if you want to be treated right. They are awesome. Not what you at all would exspect from a business who's entire purpose is to make money off you.. It actually seems the opposite. They actually truly care about their customers!! Let me first off by saying these owners are extremely friendly and understanding. I just purchased a 2019 MacBook Pro from them, and me being a student requires this for college. They kept that in mind when it came to pricing and helped me out at a price most fitting for me and them considering my situation. I was also amazed at the amount of money I received when I sold my items, i am not ashamed to say I started crying, we needed the money at this time. These guys really are there to help you in a pinch with regular stuff you have around the house that's worth something. Tvs, Power and mechanics tools, jewlery, musical instruments... and much more.
