Had some work finished that I had done on my leg. Had an Alice in Wonderland type theme that my ex-girlfriend's daughter did for me. It was excellent work but not finished. Had it finished here as I am always back & forth to Maui for work. I highly recommend these folks / great place & super clean. read more

This is a great shop, the staff are all so professional and attentive to your needs, as well as exceptional artists. Came here for a tattoo consult with Kaib. He was very nice and addressed all of my concerns regarding the tattoo. I was worried that the colors I wanted to get wouldnt show well because of my complexion but he addressed that and I appreciated him not brushing past the topic. Ultimately, I decided to go with a different artist but I would still recommend Kaib. read more

Highly recommend! Seriously talented, all around cool artists to ink your skin are found here. Bry took care of my Auntie with a beautiful, bold hibiscus. Meanwhile, Kaib brought my vision of waves and Sampaguita together better than I could imagine. Even in the healing process people are like, "damn that's cool". If I ever get another chance to return to Maui, it's without a doubt, I'd plan a session to add more art. read more

I went there for an original tattoo that included symbolism of the ocean, family, and the words a hui hou. Curtis spent over 2 hours just drawing this on my leg before he even started tattooing It is exactly what I wanted and I am so happy. Got my first [professional] tattoo done at this shop, by Bry Smith - December 12th, 2019. For reference, it's about 3inx3in, on my left forearm. I'd FOR SURE recommend her if you're getting your first tattoo done, or if you just want a really high quality tattoo; I could obviously ell that tattooing is her passion. WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT BY HER IS WORTH IT. She blew me away with the simple idea I gave her, because she took the photo I sent her and made it better. She did amazing. One of my favorite things about my piece is that there's a shadow from his sash across his stomach. She took a lot of care and precision but still gave me what I wanted. Before the session started, she printed out multiple sizes of the tattoo and let me play around with the placement, and she was all for it when I mentioned that I wanted to add the blue framing around him. Besides the amazing tattoo, she's a very accommodating and considerate person. As stated before, it was my first professional tattoo, and she made me very comfortable - as comfortable as I can be for getting stabbed with needles for almost 2 hours. If you're worried about the cleanliness of this shop, I'd say it's very clean - almost immaculate. I personally could tell that the shop is cleaned frequently, well taken care of and is very modern, as in you're not walking back to the 80's when you enter. The area where we sat to work was very clean. Bry took a noticeable amount of time prepping/cleaning, and cleaned her surroundings (and my tattoo) as she went along. If you care, she even took her gloves off and changed them halfway through the tattoo. Long story short: - Bry is an amazing artist. I'm recommending her to everyone: first time tattoo and tattoo veterans. - The shop was very clean - I'm in love with my tattoo - I would definitely come back. The only thing that I would change about my experience is the fact that I don't live in Maui, so I can't go every week! Lol read more

I've been itching to get a new tattoo for a long time but didn't know what I wanted to get. I booked myself a quick getaway trip to Maui because my soul was in dire need of some cleansing. I contacted a few different tattoo shops in Maui, but none of them worked for the time that I was here. This place was super close to my Airbnb and once I came in to inquire about it, everything just fell into place. Bryanna was at the front desk and was very helpful. I booked an appointment for the following day with her and it was all sooooo simple! She had great energy and I felt no pain through it all. I've wanted a tattoo for a while and while visiting Maui with my husband, I decided to get a tattoo of Plumerias on my hip. I love the flower and it has special meaning because Maui is where my husband and I spent our honeymoon and where we like to visit. We visited another shop in Lahina and then after researching online, went to Mid Pacific Tattoos and talked to the staff there. We read great things about Tommy and were told we could find him at the Kihei shop so we went there. Tommy was very professional and welcoming. Camila was awesome and helped us get it scheduled before we had to leave the island. We gave them the ideas we had and they went to work researching different ideas and artwork for the tattoo while we waited for the day of my appointment. The preparation was impressive by Tommy and his staff. They came up with an amazing piece of artwork that Tommy then created the perfect design from. Tommy then created a stencil to make sure it was what I wanted, transferred it to the location on my body for the tattoo to make sure I was comfortable with the location and size of the tattoo, and just to make sure filled in the stencil transfer with pen with all the detail. We went ahead with the tattoo based on that design and the finished product is better than I could have imagined. It was my first tattoo and Tommy made the whole experience great and I cannot say enough about the high quality of his work and creativity. I would recommend Mid Pacific Tattoo and Tommy because I was so happy with the experience, skill, professionalism and the cleanliness of his shop really made an impression. On vacation for a wonderful week just before my 42nd birthday and decided I wanted my first tattoo. So to Yelp I came to find my person. After narrowing it down to two places, I walked into this place and ended up talking to Desmond. I was nervous and am happy to say that Desmond was great. He didn't make me feel like a silly newbie. He put me at ease and we booked my appointment for a few days later. I showed up for my appointment and enjoyed the banter between all the employees. You could tell they all get along and it was a cool vibe. Desmond set up his area and everything was sterile and he was meticulous about his set up. He showed me my drawing and we talked about the shading and then it was time to begin. I could tell Desmond definitely knew what he was doing and before I knew it, I was done. I loved the final product. It came out better than I even imagine. And was less painful that I thought it would be. Tommy (the owner), Desmond, and Camila were awesome to work with! So glad I found these amazing artists! I have had many tattoos in my day but this was my husbands first. He was quite nervous but Desmond did an amazing job!! He wanted a Polynesian Tattoo that wasn't too heavy on his calf and I got to say, my husband cannot be more excited about this artwork on his leg. He cannot wait to have more done by Desmond. The whole experience was weird. My husband and I booked to get tattoos on our honeymoon in Maui. Our artist had our design, a simple sun and moon. I told Brandy I wanted a small one and she said "I can't go any smaller." I was confused since I have many small single needle tattoos. Then she proceeds to comment on my arm tattoos and how "they are too small and will blur together in a few years." She then says "there was miscommunication" and "that's just how tattoos work." I was so disappointed and then she said I couldn't get my $50 deposit back even though it was her fault she can't do fine line! I couldn't believe it. I went to their company yelp page and see the awful tattoos that they have done and bad reviews. I didn't trust her to tattoo anything on my body, however she had already startled on my husband. Thankfully she did an okay job on my husbands tattoo and gave a $50 discount on his tattoo without saying anything. Wouldn't recommend, weird energy, and mediocre artists. read more

When you first walk in, you are treated by lots of local art in vibrant colors. In the back there are cases with eclectic jewelry, goddess style dresses, t-shirts and small gift items. The prices are on the high end, but this is a tourist mall and the items are unique. I've been searching for a pair of Sterling and Larimar earrings to match a gorgeous pendant and ring I have. Larimar is a sky blue stone from the Dominican Republic. It's rare and very very striking. Most earrings are small drops but I like long dangling earrings that make a statement. I found them here and didn't hesitate to by them immediately! The stones are large and a perfect shade of sky blue hanging from a curved hook so they hang at cheek level. Perfect! They were $138 and I already treasure them. Wish this shop had more jewelry, gifts and clothes! A gem amongst the stores at this mall. The woman waiting on me was super friendly and we easily engaged in conversation. I'll be back!

This gallery has been located inside of the Grand Wailea Hotel and Resort for a decade. Recently…read more(the past few months), the ownership has changed. Apparently, the former owner also owned the sushi bar in the Grand Wailea and decided to call it quits with both businesses. The new owner has retained some of the old works (by the masters) and has started introducing a variety of local artists in the gallery space. Other artists who used to show in this gallery can now be found down the street in the Shops of Wailea. When you walk in the door, you will see a large selection of glass on display by Dale Chihuly. You will also see other artists featured in the window displays. As you wander the gallery, you will likely find as many as 25 different artists on display. Everybody working here has been very friendly and informative since my visits began in 2006. Since the new owner took over, some of the local artists on display work in the galley, which makes things more interesting. If you join the email list, you get informative emails that come infrequently. They are good about that. I consider this a must visit gallery if you are on an art tour or enjoy shopping for art on vacation. After you are done, don't miss the galleries in the Shops of Wailea. Didn't see enough? The attention to detail these artists do at Mid-Pacific in Kihei is amazing. I was torn between several different designs, so I told Kaib my three must haves, then explained what I liked about several different designs and he went to work to design something unique. Several times he asked me, "Are there any wants and don't wants, or specific colors." He wanted to assure I was getting all my must haves. I told him after reviewing his work I had the utmost faith he'd do something spectacular. Boy did he ever. I am still in awe. The attention to detail he did on my turtle is unbelievable.
