Crystal did a great job. She was very efficient, friendly, and personable. She spent maybe a total of 30 minutes for my wife and 2 daughters and was done before we knew it. Whenever I come to Maui I always try and support the local artist when getting a Henna Tattoo. So I looked it up on line and came across Crystal at KO Swim Hawaii at 1 (808) 740-3139. She responded right away and came to my hotel at the pool the very next morning. I noticed at the end of the day the henna was a little light and Crystal responded by coming the next morning and touched it up. So happy to find this place! It was our last day on Maui and my daughter really wanted a temporary tattoo before we left. We had a really hard time finding a place in Kihei but as we were driving by this place popped up on our google search. It's a little off the road near the back of the mall but there was ample parking in the lot so no problem. Crystal was wonderful, she listened to what we wanted and did and amazing job of creating my daughters vision. She also had the option of Jagua instead of Henna (which we preferred because it is black). The price was exactly as quoted and my daughter was very happy to bring her Hawaiian sea turtle home with her ;) THANKS CRYSTAL! We hope to be back soon. read more

Aloha charm. My kids and I stumbled into Island Boutique. They have beautiful swimsuits which are designed and made locally. While shopping we were chatting with Christina who also happens to be one of their henna tattoo artist. The kids each wanted a tattoo and we did just that. Had a great experience when we initially brought our two boys in to get henna tattoos, even though we were quoted $20 each and then was charged for $25 each. No big deal. We were told that we could come in for a touch up for half price, if that was something we wanted to do. Two days before we left, I messaged the owner to see if time was available for the next day to come in for touch ups. We were told to come on in anytime and get our name on the list. Sounds good. When we arrived the next day, there were two people ahead of us. No problem. Was told that we would get a text or call when it was our time. Was also told that it would be about an hour. After two hours, we hadn't heard back so we decided to head over and wait. On our way over, I received a call that basically said that the person working there got backed up and then needed to leave to run an errand. Was told there was no time to do the tattoos, after we had been waiting for 2+ hours. Although the business will not admit it, but we totally got bumped. Not pleased with how it was handled and we will not be returning on our next trip to Maui. read more

We went there mid trip and had a wait of over an hour to get in... We went and had a lunch and then we're texted, we got 2 great pieces... We were told we could come back before we left for a touch up, so we texted the gal the night before and she said she wasn't going to be in but she would let the other gal know we were coming, informed us that we may have to get on the wait list which we were great with... Now come to the day we were leaving... We went in around 11, we were told there were 2 people ahead of us, so we went to get some apps and then an hour and a half later we were called with a voicemail that said sorry I am leaving... We had told our kids why we were waiting were told by the gal it would happen and then crushed that they could not get us in due to a bday and people taking longer than anticipated... People had appointments I'm not sure how they got, we tried to do everything we could to let them know we were coming a day in advance, and then waiting 2+ hours to be told sorry we can't do the touch-up you have been told we can do. read more
