Definitely wanted to give these guys a shout out. My family on our vacation to Maui/Molokai thought it would be fun to get some ink during the trip. Due to the time constraints and really heavy scheduling though, it would be difficult to fit in and where to even look. Luckily I can be pretty resourceful in cases like this and these guys were really friggin accommodating. We puddle jumped from Molokai that day to spend it inMaui (phenomenal aquarium btw), had a red eye back home that night, and these guys were still able to fit in on short notice my wife, her little sister, and her sister's friend. My dumb ass, who got too burnt to participate, had a lapse in time management to make us late, and they still fit is in. And everybody there was pretty cool. Low key, down to earth... People roll in, they roll out, reruns of Married With Children were on in the background. And oddly enough one of my favorite actors Woody Harrelson is a frequent local who casually is a part of the area whom I got to meet just a few doors down picking up some brews. Was an excellent first tattoo experience. It's like walking into a barbershop with the way all the stations are setup. NOT your stereotypical shady tattoo shop where you sit on a chair in someone's basement and the artist is slob-like. Mike did my tattoo and he is a very impressive artist and cool dude. It's quite fascinating watching him and other artists in the shop work. They are meticulous in the way they setup their equipment; very clean and organized like nurses at a clinic. My tattoo took roughly 4 hours including all the breaks. For a session that long, breaks are crucial. In between the breaks Mike would change out the needles, wipe out the excess ink on my arm, let the wound bleed a little bit and apply a disinfectant before continuing. While on vacation in Maui, I brought my daughter to Fathom Deep Tattoo for her first tattoo. I was a little nervous and so was she. Mike, the tattoo artist, was amazing! She showed him what she wanted and he nailed it! I was extremely impressed on how clean and meticulously Mike prepared his station before he began her tattoo. He explained every step of the procedure as he did her tattoo. He was so gentle that my daughter barely flinched. She said it was almost painless. The tattoo came out sharp and clean. Mike explained the aftercare and even told us that we could call him anytime if we had questions. I highly recommended this tattoo parlor. Mike did an amazing job, he was clean and gentle, and his price was very fair. My only problem is that now my daughter wants another tattoo next year when we go back to Maui. I was determined to get a tattoo while we were in Hawaii and I wanted it to be the last day. So I stopped by here, make sure you have cash bc the ATM is quit the walk lol. I was totally out of my element and felt like a complete dweeb even walking into the tattoo parlor, but the guys made me feel totally at ease right away :) Mike Beals was the artist who did the work. My design was super simple, but I really appreciate that he took the time to study my sketch and make sure I was happy at every step of the process. I used to live in California, and I was shook when I saw what the shops around Maui were charging, and the only piercer I could find online was in Lahaina. Fortunately for me a local let me know about the gem that is Fathom Deep. As soon as I walked in I was treated with kindness and respect, and the atmosphere felt like it did back home. I got my nose pierced at Forever Stained by Brad Ish. Brad helped me feel comfortable, explained everything along the way and gave me an easy plan for cleaning it. When it became infected a few weeks later, I texted him and he responded quickly. His simple advice helped. I will definitely return for other piercings and recommend his shop to any of my friends! *Edited to add on for another visit* I came back to Forever Stained on Aug 4th to get a tattoo with a dear friend. Since I knew Brad from my nose piercing, I texted asking if he had availability that day. He did! He asked for a pic of what I wanted, and I sent him something I found online, but with edits to make it my own. When I arrived at the shop, he had it sketched out exactly as I wanted. I didn't have to make any edits! He helped me decide on placement, made the transfer and then we got started! Even though I already have anther tattoo, I still sort of panicked at first. I was a long time (8 years) customer of Mike. He did 7 tattoos for me. There were a couple of small touch ups I wanted on my latest one and he refused to do it, saying it would be a waste of supplies during this uncertain time of business. It would have been a 10 minute job to keep a long time customer happy and going back for more, but instead he chose to chase the money. When I asked again for him to accommodate this very quick job, I was told to take my business elsewhere if I didn't like it. This is not the first time Mike has messed up one of my tattoos. On one of them, the tattoo itself is fine but a large part of it is not even close to the color I asked for. I'm just glad it's in a spot where I can't really see it. So I will be doing as Mike told me and taking my business elsewhere. It's a shame since I had been loyal to Mike for so long. This would have been a 5 star review if not for this latest encounter. It just reminded me of how rude Mike can be sometimes. But overall he is a very good artist and I have been happy with his work for the most part. read more

I brought my 12 year old daughter in for her first ear piercing a few weeks ago. They talked us through the whole process as well as gave us verbal and written instructions for care afterward. They measured with calipers to the exact millimeter the placement of the hole and confirmed it with us before piercing. The studs that came with the earring were discs in the back which make a much more comfortable healing process since you have to sleep in them as well. And the stainless steel studs with piercing were about $35.. a great price! We had an exceptional professional experience and I highly recommend them. read more

Just had a really great experience with JJ (aka Hellboy). I had a sleeve going in black and grey with a steampunk theme and I asked if he could add around the existing tattoo with a totally different, color concept. I also asked if he could add flecks of color to the original tattoo. I sent him one pic of a pattern for inspiration and when I met JJ for the first time, he had pulled a similar pattern. I was super impressed. I sent him a pic for the color scheme as well but I didn't really give him any specifics on placement or what parts of the patterns should be what colors. He did a really amazing job and I couldn't be happier. It took six hours over two days and JJ was really flexible with scheduling. The shop itself is very lively and professional and CLEAN! The artists were super chill and friendly, too. The second day I was there, there were two or three groups of walk-ins and the staff handled them really smoothly. Good vibe overall. Punk music the first day and nice easy listening acoustics and covers the second day. I read a book while getting worked on. I started laughing at one point and apologized and JJ was nice and said don't worry about it and that he's used to it all.
