In an attempt to be fair and objective I will do my best to write what has been said, communicated, or provided. Bottom Line up front: If they had not been the installer of the unit with their information tagged to the equipment, I expect I would have used someone different. Back in late September / Early October I called to coordinate a maintenance visit. It was scheduled for 13 November 2024. I received a call stating the appointment had to be rescheduled because the 13th was the company's annual meeting. Systemic Problem #1 Communication: An annual meeting is scheduled well in advance. In most cases about 11 months out. Why was this not communicated to all employees and placed on their calendars? This would have prevented the appointment from being scheduled. When asked why no one knew this when I scheduled my appointment. I was told no one knew about the meeting. IE: It was not communicated. Fast forward to the rescheduled date of 21 November. The technician climbs in the attic comes down and states the motor needs to be replaced. Mentions that he needs to order the part and will have to come back. Grabs his tools and leaves. Leaving a mess for me to pick up. Systemic Problem #2 Workers are not taught how to respect the client's home. Leaves a mess and I have to clean up after them. (Picture enclosed). The service technician returns to repair the unit and upon arrival asks if my ladder is still available. I said it is still in the house yes. Great I'll get my tools. Systemic Problem #2 Respect the customer's home. I had to get the ladder and place it in the hallway for the technician. The right answer should have been it's ok I'll just get mine or never ask in the first place. The technician climbs in the attic comes down and states the motor is the wrong motor. He was provided the wrong motor from the parts office. He will have to get them to order the right motor and come back. Systemic Problem #3 Check your equipment. You always check, and recheck that you have the right equipment/Parts before you leave for your job. As it was upon climbing into the attic and realizing that he had the wrong motor. He informed me of this issue and then started to complain how this happens a lot the, parts Department provides the wrong equipment. They do not check to make sure things are correct (See review 1/25/2024) He then asks if I would like him to clean things up. To which I state yes that would be nice. He then asks if I have the tools to do the clean-up. There are two systemic problems here:. Systemic problem #4 the employees are not provided the equipment to clean up after completing their work in a customer's home nor have they been told it is expected for them to clean up/ This ties directly to systemic Problem #2 Respecting the customer's home. (picture included) The Thanksgiving weekend comes and goes. I call first thing Monday 2 Dec to ask about the repair. My home is sitting at 55 degrees. I'm informed that there is no timeline planned as we do not have the parts. I am also told that they will not know when the parts will be available until after 10 AM. Systemic Problem #5. No one takes responsibility, it's the next guy's fault. The Employee complains its parts, parts complain it's the supplier, and it's not their fault. It is now Dec 19th and I have received a call that the service tech is on there way. Today they should be replacing the motor to the unit. The technician arrived and replaced the motor and then promptly told me the thermostat was bad. I left the house for an appointment, upset and frustrated. I reached out and contacted the Company. I was placed in touch with the service manager. In my conversation with him I asked the question regarding how is the thermostat bad it less than 6 months old and was the technician trying to milk me for more money. His response was no we are not trying to milk you out of your money and if you would like we will happily replace the old motor and have you hire someone else. I informed him if that was how he wanted to deal with the situation I would be happy to include that in my review. In addition to that, I mentioned Problem #2 The technician was in and out and instead of using the walkway chose to walk across newly planted sod tracking the loose dirt into my home and on to my carpet. Leaving the carpet stained. The manager agreed to send out a second technician, reimburse me for the carpet cleaning. New Tech shows up the thermostat is not bad, the old control board was not replaced with the with the new control board shipped with the motor. New Tech Wonderful. In the end the issue with my system was corrected. Albeit 62 days after the initial request. If a response is provided please address the changes the company is making to the systemic problems. Loyalty is not retained when the service doesn't meet expectations. read more

First off The technician Adam was excellent. He had to replace the run capacitor a small part that was under warranty since I had bought my ac from them five years ago. I have no problem for the $99 diagnostic charge. They're in business and have a payroll and all that. Where I felt cheated is the $237 that I was charged for the labor of replacing the part . The tech was probably at my house 30 minutes max. I used Mid Florida since the part was under warranty thinking I would save money. I called their office and spoke to a manager and he said they don't charge by the hour but by the job and said sometimes this job calls for an hour and a half. Not sure how removing the back of the ac and plugging in a new part equates to $237. read more

I have been a customer for over 10 years. Al came out yesterday and fixed my Mini Splitter in my family room. Took off 2 codes, put Freone in. I had that installed after my divorce 10 years ago. Marcia is extremely compassionate and worked with me. They will not do anything at all that doesn't need it. I advise everyone needing any work to go to them. read more

Called and told them I was a new customer who had a Carrier which needed a drainage hose, and a Daizuki mini split which was not working correctly. I was told they could have a guy come out today between 12 and 3 pm. I made sure that I could be around during those hours. When the repairman came he told me he doesn't have any knowledge of how to repair mini splits, and he would get someone out to work on both ACs. When he phoned in to get someone with the proper credentials, the girl asked if they had been the original installers of the mini split. No, they were not, as I had told the original woman I had spoken to that I was a new customer. She never asked any further questions. Well, it turns out they only work on minis that they have installed. (But not the guy they sent anyway) They could have asked for all the needed info in the first place, and even if it was their installation, why would they send someone with no knowledge of mini split repair. Repair guy was nice enough, but... Mid-Florida, not clever. read more

Bad communication. Never got a call from the technician( I am out of state and selling my home) explaining the quote they gave me in writing. I called on a Sat. to get an explanation they were closed. I called Mon. morning the secretary said I will get the technician to call you. If you don't hear from him by noon call me back. I called back at noon and the secretary says your technician is not in today. I guess they were just going to let me hang and not tell me that. I said I am trying to get some questions answered before I decide which company to go with. They gave me someone who was supposed to be knowledgeable but he says you have to ask the technician lol. Just very disappointed in the lack of communication. I guess my business isn't that important to them. read more

Mid Florida Air inspected our 4 year old system for our new purchase in 1997 in Geneva, FL. They also replaced that aged system in 2012 with a fantastic new system. One year before the system faltered, Mid Florida provided us with an estimate for a new system, just in case. Although they no longer carried the recommended replacement system, Mid Florida gave us an upgraded system and honored their estimate. Now, that's amazing! They went above and beyond. Our system was a single day event and it was up and running in record time. They had to replace the entire 15 yr old HVAC system. We were delighted and it was one of the major selling points from the home. We have since relocated to the Windermere, FL area, but Mid Florida does not cover our area. We don't trust anyone but Mid Florida Air. We are absolutely heartbroken because we have not been able to find quality HVAC service and out 2-zone AC system is quite a disappointment. Yet, none of the techs we've hired can help. It 77 degrees downstairs & 84 degrees upstairs, during the day. At night it's freezing upstairs & hot downstairs. What gives! read more

Mid Florida A/C has been my go-to company for my moms A/C for her house in Lake Mary. We have been so happy with their service. Every single employee is kind and respectful as well as reputable. The last call we just had the technician "Matt" came out and found our issue was a simple fuse. He replaced it and there was no charge for the response or fix. Given that we live in Florida and my mom is elderly it makes me so pleased that we found an honest company I can depend on to keep her cool. If you are looking for an honest company that will not try to sell you things you don't need this is definitely that company. Big thanks to the entire Mid Florida A/C team. I am very disappointed with the service I received from Mid Florida Air. They came to my house and diagnosed an issue with the motor. They said they ordered the part and I waited a MONTH with them constantly saying they were waiting for the part. Eventually, I had to call another company as you cannot go in Florida with no air, nothing for a MONTH. They would not provide a possible date of installation and said they had no idea when it might arrive. The other company, Iron Air, came out one day, diagnosed the problem and were back the NEXT day with the motor. Somehow, Mid Florida showed up with the same motor finally and told them to leave. I ended up being billed by both companies ( partially by Iron Air for the call) Mid Florida Air refused to take any responsibility for the delay or admit any wrong doing. Unfortunately, this was done through my contractor and everyone is blaming everyone else. I would not use them and I cannot understand how they think leaving you without air for a month is not an emergency in Florida in October. It was a disappointing experience and I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this. The other company uses the same supplier and told me it was available. I feel like this company betrayed my trust and I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

If you get Adam he is great. The dispatch people couldn't even call the right phone number and delayed our repair for two or three days.

This company is a total rip off. I can understand the $89 service charge. But to replace a $15 part that took 30 seconds to install it cost an additional $165. The technician was at residence less than 15 minutes total. What a scam. I complained about the service and requested a call back from management. Never got a phone call back. They sent a letter in the mail along with a sheet showing their overhead and burden cost. Most of it is a joke and common things when you own a business. Half the things are a one time cost or a annual cost that isn't that costly. The funny thing is they try to show how they spend all their money on training and management but they didn't spend money on editing the 77 Costs form? Instead of accounting they put "accountung". Must be why they cost so much. "Accountung" must cost a lot. If accounting can't get their job description spelled right no wonder why their billing isn't right. The fact that they have to have a 77 Costs form to explain their exposure just shows to you how many people complain about their fees. It's a joke. read more

Excellent service and install! Their crew came in and replaced our system that was 30 years old. Very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. Professional and courteous staff. When the crew was finished, the company sent an inspector to inspect their work which was very nice. The company also handled obtaining a permit with the city and scheduled the city's inspection dept to do their thing. Was very nice we didn't have to handle that extra step. Work went extremely well. Office staff was very friendly and kept us informed of arrival times. The two crews that came to replace our AC units were polite, friendly and very efficient. They cleaned up the area completely and did a great install job. After finishing the crew leader came in and explained all necessary instructions and asked if there was anything else he needed to do. I got multiple quotes from local HVAC companies in my area for a new A/C system for my home. Mid Florida provided excellent customer service, were very thorough, and answered all of my questions during the free estimate. I ended up selecting them even though they weren't the lowest priced quote, but because their quote was offering a better system than some of the other quotes, and came with an extra year of labor on the warranty over all of the other quotes! Mid-Florida has been our go-go a/c company for ten years. We have used them for maintenance in both our Palm Bay rental property and our home. This week, we had to face the fact the a/c unit installed by the builder in 2006 had breathed its last breath. We called Mid-Florida yesterday morning. They sent a technician, Jesse, to the house to discuss with us our options for getting a new unit. Jesse is always pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. After discussing our options, which units are more energy efficient, etc. we agreed upon a unit we felt would best fit our needs and budget. Two other technicians, Mike and Otis, came out first thing this morning, doggedly worked to make sure everything was done correctly (we found our builder had taken some ill-advised shortcuts when the original unit was installed), explained everything along the way, and didn't leave until we had cool air pumping through the vents. I want to mention how impressed my husband and I are with the responsiveness, professionalism, friendliness, and expertise of this company. The office always calls to let us know the technicians are on their way (rare in the service industry). This company does not sell unnecessary services and we never feel pressured in any way. There are other, perhaps, bigger names out there but, as far as we're concerned, Mid-Florida Air Conditioning is the only one with whom we want to do business. read more

Scheduling an appointment was so very easy...I was given a reminder phone call the day before, and a courtesy phone call when the tech was on his way...This is helpful when you have such a large window of time that the tech could arrive...The tech was professional, and completely thorough while diagnosing my A/C's problem and doing regular maintenance...I would highly recommend them to anyone in need for A/C services... read more
