**A True Example of Professionalism and Customer Care** I wanted to share my immense gratitude for the exceptional service provided by the technicians at Del-Air. Back in May, Eric and his team came out to handle a line replacement for my outside AC unit leading inside after finding a leak. They were thorough, professional, and explained everything clearly. When I started experiencing intermittent cooling issues again recently, I specifically requested Eric since he was already familiar with my system. Although he wasn't available, Tony came out today to troubleshoot the new issue. Tony quickly identified a new leak inside the unit. Naturally, finding another issue so soon after a previous repair was overwhelming and stressful, but Tony handled the situation with complete empathy and professionalism. What stands out most about both Eric and Tony is their dedication to the customer. For both repairs, they took the time to clearly explain the root cause of the issues, why the specific repairs were necessary, and what steps could be taken to save money on the work and prevent future AC problems. In my opinion, both Eric and Tony are exactly the kind of technicians who should be handling escalated issues and working with customers facing repeat callouts within a short timeframe; their approach makes a stressful situation so much easier to navigate. If they aren't already managers, shift leads, or lead trainers for Del-Air, they definitely should be. Both technicians are a fantastic reflection of the standard of quality at Del-Air. Every technician I've interacted with from this company has been exceptionally knowledgeable, understanding, helpful, and professional. While I'm currently waiting for this second repair to be fully completed, I couldn't be more grateful for the care and expertise both techs provided during stressful moments. It would be zero stars, if I could. Here is why. We hired them in July 2026 to install new air ducts in a new to us/but older house. The guys fell through the CEILING. They stopped fixing the air ducts. The air ducts are to be strapped to the roof. They stopped that. They did not do the "return air vent" into the second bedroom (because they fell through the roof? (no one was injured BTW). We held payment, until someone came out. My husband who is an "egg head" (love him, but I was at work) and doesn't understand the air return situation...paid them because they showed him pictures in the attic. that there are "some" strapped us air ducts...but still missing a return in the second bedroom. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE...IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM...YOU ONLY GET AI PEOPLE...WHICH TELL YOU IT IS "ESCALATED"...BUT i'VE BEEN CALLING FOR 7 DAYS NOW...WITH NO RESULTS. I can sum up Del-Air in three words, DON'T USE THEM! They are a scam company who tries to upsell you constantly. Creating work so they could charge you extra. One example: they told me my TXV valve was going out when it showed no visible signs of problems, and the next thing I knew two days after they left, it was out. That cost me $3000. The next time I gave him another chance and they tried to sell me a new air handler when they had done a replacement of the houses Air handle of five years before. They took my $ in full, never showed up for the appointment, and have yet to reach out to schedule the appointment that hI have paid in full for. I have tried contacting them now for a month, I spend 30+ minutes waiting on the phone to have the same conversations with representatives who tell me they are leaving a note for their manager. The manager finally called me back a few days ago, left a voicemail but with no number to call him back at. So I have yet to get in contact with him. Very frustrating experience. Our 19-year-old home air conditioner was finally beginning to fail. This system was originally installed by Del-Air, as part of new construction by Engle Homes in 2007. Del-Air did an amazing job, from sales to installation. The salesperson worked very hard to find us a system that would fit our budget. There were some structural issues with the support housing for the air handler. Before installing the system, Del-Air completely rebuilt the air handler housing, prior to installing the air handler. All this was done at no additional cost and completely unexpected, because of the more than reasonable price of the HVAC system. Following the installation, the technicians gave us information on proper care, use, and maintenance of the system. At our request, all this work was done early on a Sunday morning. They try to upcharge at every service. Techs are always late if they arrive at all. Never an apology for net showing up. If you call them, you get an AI bot on the phone. We have now wasted two days waiting on a technician who never showed up. All we get is the same lame excuse. We will be looking for a new HVAC company. I have zero confidence in Del Air. If you're looking to drop $30,000 on a new HVAC system and be without working HVAC for over two weeks, look no further than Del-Air Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electrical! Del-Air installed a new HVAC in our home and thought it would be a good idea to wait until the installation was almost finished to tell us that they needed to order parts to complete the installation. They dragged us along for over a week without any way of tracking the parts or knowing when they would be available. Once the missing components were finally installed, the installer told us that there was something else missing. Some kind of safety device. It's still missing. The system was limping along. When it did work, it made strange sounds. We could only control the temperature in one room of the house because of the missing components. Management did us a "big favor" by replacing the outside compressor unit. That didn't last long. Throughout this whole process, the salesman has been friendly and offering to help, but it seems his ability to get things done is limited. Management doesn't seem to care. Last night, during record-breaking freezing temperatures, it died completely. To their credit, they sent someone this morning, but they were perplexed and left without resolving the problem. Supposedly, they are sending out someone else. Given their track record, we're not holding our breath. They've ripped out the old system (which was working fine, by the way) and left us literally out in the cold! read more

Where do I even begin? My ac stopped working and I called DelAir because they were the ones who installed it in the first place five years ago. They came over quickly, I'll give them the one star for that, but then they just proceeded to lie to my face for an hour. And then charged me $99 for it. They told me I needed a new capacitor, compressor and new refrigerant (which isn't made anymore and will take 6 weeks to order). They also told me the disconnect was only showing 114v when it needs 240v to work and there was a pitted terminal. They said it will take 6 weeks and $7k to fix all this or I could buy a whole new system for $22k (what they really wanted me to do). And I said "new system? This is a new system, I bought this from you 5 years ago. Are you insane?" So I got a second opinion from another company that a friend recommended to me. They came over on a Sunday morning, laughed for about 10 minutes when I told them what DelAir said, and then fixed everything (which the only thing broken was the capacitor) for $350. I'm trying to keep this G rated so just please do not ever trust DelAir, ever. read more

Their recommendations usually always cost over $1000. I got a second opinion from another HVAC company that completed a full maintenance checkup and was told my unit was running without any concerns. Dell Air came out to the house and told us that the compressor was wired correctly and that the compressor and the fan were no good because of that. I asked them how could that be because it had been operating correctly for years. They did not have a good explanation but quoted me $3,600 for repair even though the compressor and fan were under warranty. I called another air conditioning contractor for a second opinion. And he arrived he checked everything out reset breakers tighten some connections and everything worked fine. Del Air has turned into a dishonest company! Called about 9:00 p.m. and the AI system told me someone would be out between 6 and 10!!! Shortly after, got a cancellation text. We have been long-time customers for 20+ years, and the quality of service is horrible. Getting a hold of an actual representative instead of AI is challenging. Each time we do our six-month maintenance, they just flush and try pushing us to purchase an LED light. We did our servicing in May 2026, and not even a month later, our unit was leaking water and going into the bedroom. We called Del Air, who came out and said that because it's not dripping right at that moment, they flushed the line and said it was okay. Not even an hour later, the unit is leaking. I am very disappointed with the poor service provided, they charged me $374.00 for the Leak Test After the leak test, they left a complete mess. One of the covers was left without the screws, and the air system was disconnected. It also appears they left a substance inside the A/C system that is not the proper refrigerant, which means it would have been inappropriate and potentially unsafe to turn the unit on under those conditions. And quote me almost $1,700.00 for solder leaking fitting, evacuate, recharge & drier up to 3 Ton. beside the cost for the LEAK TEST. read more

Our HVAC is 2 years old this month. Last February's service visit there was a bit of mildew inside the unit, so we paid $2000+ for a new UV light system and a new electronic filter, with assurances this would prevent any mold. The next service, two days ago - four months after the new system was installed - the interior fan was COATED with mold and mildew. They wanted $300 to clean it plus another $1500+ for a more-upgraded UV light system. The head guy was rude and treated us with disrespect / lack of concern, repeatedly telling us we should have installed a 3-tier system (which we were never told about by the previous guys). I have no issues with the technicians them selves but I do have serious issues with the company's tag team approach where they always send a salesman or up sale guy along with the technician. They pressure to sell very expensive replacement systems or at best suggest that your system is in danger of failure or pending very expensive repair. To top it off they are terrible regarding follow up calls especially when parts have been ordered. Lately you can't even talk to a real person, just a digital assistant. Extremely frustrating. To sum it up, while I have been a long term supporter of Del Air who has purchased or referred for purchase of several systems, my next purchase will be with another company. Worst experience ever - fraudulent sales. I called them because they inspected and serviced my unit when we just purchased the house last year. The A/C stopped, I didn't check the clogged drain. They sent a tech AND a sales rep the next day after I called. The tech said the unit had mold ($750 to clean it out) and had a leak ($1,450 to find it) and it had a surge so I needed a whole house surge suppressor. Also the condenser was shorted out due to the surge. So it would be "cheaper" to replace it than repair it. $9500 for the unit, $3500 for 10 year maintenance and black light. I could finance at 10% so total would be $26000 over 15 years. The unit should only last 10 years. So I called another A/C company. I only had a clogged drain, nothing was shorted out and the picture of the mold was not from my unit. If you need to make deceptive sales tactics to make a sale you are in the wrong business. I got a can of coil clean from Lowe's for $12 and my unit sparkles. Even worse, after I found a reputable HVAC guy, they said my unit was under warranty. Unreal. read more

Annual maintenance was a disaster. Technician (Thomas) left without completely reassembling the compressor pump and other plumbing. Initially I gave a 5 star review and would've stuck with that had he (or ANYONE else from Del-Air) returned in a reasonably time frame. I called Del-Air ONE MINUTE after the technician left my driveway. It's now 3 hours since he left. Do NOT under any circumstances let the AI operator at Del-Air handle ANYTHING. I was told by that "thing" that someone would get right back to me. I've had to make several calls and they're now telling me it could be another 4 hours..... read more

This was my first experience with Del-Air since they bought McGowans, and probably my last. The tech himself, Joshua, was very pleasant and personable. I could not tell how experienced he was. He seemed to know what he was doing, but when he left my AC was not working correctly. We had no problems, just wanted it checked out before summer as it is medically necessary . His boss said it must be low on Refrigerant for $158 per can. That must be the issue they said. "Yeah right". If it is low, something happened during the service I didn't see. The first half an hour was spent with him looking for proof of my special promotion fee, or he couldn't preform the service. I was never given one, as I had only dealt with Del-Air on the phone. He again wanted me to show him proof. I called the Del-Air number and had to speak with their AI Rhonda, who is programmed with an attitude. The AI confirmed my appt and promotion price, which he heard her say. He still looked for proof from me to satisfy those over him the promotional fee was correct. I was only a heartbeat from sending him packing. After a time he made a phone call to someone who said it was ok. He was not able to check for any leaks, because he did not own a sniffer. He has one ordered though. Now another tech has to come another to check for leaks. Upon leaving he asked me to sign that I was satisfied with the work. I refused because I wasn't. So he signed it for me. I paid my charge and we parted company. McGowans was light years ahead of this out fit. I have never dealt with an HVAC company, or any other company that came so unprepared. Now I have to find another company. I'll use referrals or word of mouth next time. read more

Terrible service, installed incorrectly, wired wrong, have had four (4) tech come out. Only one tried to fix problems. Can't talk to real people because of their new terrible AI answering system. On telephone hold several times, transferred around with no one in charge to complain to. Was a Del-Air customer for over 20 years. Business sold to a bunch of incompetent idiots. Stuck with a new system with a 10 year warranty that is no good because nobody there can fix anything. Unit won't turn off, thermostat replaced, unit runs constantly, driving up electric bill. I have been fighting De-Air for 4 months now. Stay away from Del-Air, no, RUN an away from them. Nobody will take responsibility, no one in charge. Even tech say they are hearing complaints from customer. Operation manager say AI is learning! Go back to old service ways from original owner. del air called and scheduled an appointment for today to do maintenance on my system. they called last week and scheduled the appointment for today. we called three times today to verify the appt date and time and the AI system confirmed the appt. it is now 12 hours after the fact, and no one has showed up. we called and were told it was rescheduled for 4/23 but no one ever called to approve this change. the customer service agent flat out lied, we asked to speak to a services manager but was told it too late in the day. we have requested a call back from either the lying customer service rep the lying service manager or the lying service tech. if you hear the name Del Air RUN don't walk. read more

Everything was functional. I had another (honest) company come for an estimate and was told everything looked and checked out fine. Incompetent and Unethical Our a/c unit suddenly stopped working, so we called Delaire since we have a contract with them, and they have worked on our unit since our home was constructed less than 3 years ago. They sent technicians Gavin and Ronnie, who supposedly assessed the problem. They concluded that our drain line was clogged and showed us a photo of a system that appeared never to have been cleaned. Interestingly enough, my husband cleaned the line last week. In my opinion, the technicians just used the same photo of a clogged drain for every house they went to. They insisted the line needed to be cleaned, so $300 plus later, the system was working, but only for a very short time. The following day, it stopped working again, same problem. I called Delaire, and William S presented.. It was immediately noted that the "float was not operating correctly." This is the SAME float that the technicians (Gavin and Ronnie) the day before said was working (and that they put on my invoice). We were then advised by William S. that our unit needed a new "2 pole amp." Then we were told by William S. that we needed a new capacitor. Almost $500 later, we thought our issues were addressed. We had growing concerns about the inconsistencies among the three Delaire technicians (Gavin, Ronnie, and William S.). I decided to call another A/C company to evaluate the Delaire job. With that being said, our A/C unit does NOT run on a two pole switch...Delaire LIE! When I called Delaire, I was told this is the "terminology that they use." - DELAIRE LIE! The capacitor was NOT installed correctly-DELAIRE LIE AS WILLIAM S. SAID IT WAS INSTALLED. It was left hanging, and it would have caused irreversible damage. William S. left brackets and bolts on the outside of the condenser. Our new A/C company properly installed the capacitor. The sole thing that Delaire technicians Ronnie, Gavin, and William S. did was babble to us in a/c technical jargon/bs. IMO, It was as though they had been trained to BS customers and scam them. I will never, ever allow Delaire onto my property again. My goal in writing this review is to expose Delaire's unethical practices, which I believe constitute a scam, as well as their technicians who tow the line by screwing customers. read more

They have 3 times promised to return the annual maintenance contract for non-performance and it never comes. Thank goodness my unit works. Other reviews talk about defective units delivered for over $10K and they are ghosted. I've never read such bad reviews. I have filed a criminal complaint. I am very frustrated with the customer service of Del Air. I was scheduled for a tune up today between 8am - 12 noon. I received a text message stating they would not arrive by 12 noon. At 12:51pm, I called Del Air and was put through to dispatch and spoke to Ginny. She was able to reschedule for this evening between 6pm to 10pm. I needed to reschedule because I had an appoitment at 2pm. I left my house around 1:15pm and got a notification on my ring doorbell at 1:50pm that the technician was there. I called Del Air back and explained that I had spoken to Ginny at dispatch. The new person I spoke to, Courtney, said she did not see where I was rescheduled for this evening. She stated I could reschedule at another date and time. I took today off from work to take care of the appointments I made. Rescheduling for another day is not feasible. I told her this was not acceptable. She stated she would reach out to a supervisor to attempt to get approval for service this evening. She stated she would call me back. She did not call me back. I called AGAIN. This time I spoke with Chloe and she was able to get me on the schedule for this evening from 6pm to 10pm. The technician showed up 5:01pm. I WAS NOT HOME. I am unsure now if a technician will be showing up between 6pm to 10pm. Each time you call Del Air, you have to speak to an AI agent. It is not helpful when you have a problem or complaint. Unfortunately this is not the first time Del Air has not made their appoitment window. This is the third time this has happened which is why I am frustrated. When I called to make this appoitment I specifically asked to be the first stop of the day. They said they would notate in the account. Maybe they did, maybe they did not. Clearly the communication between the dispatch members is non existent. read more

I am absolutely furious with this company. When my grandmother's air conditioning went out, I called them right away. They made everything sound perfect on the phone and convinced me to join their monthly membership program. They promised someone would come out immediately to fix her air conditioning. But the moment I hung up, I got a text saying the appointment had to be rescheduled. Are you kidding me? My 93 year old grandmother sitting in Florida heat with no air conditioning and they think it is acceptable to push it back. Then to make things worse, the technician called me himself and said he could have come at the original time but no one from the company even communicated with him. So clearly this is a company issue, not a scheduling problem. Fast forward to today. I am trying to get a new hot water heater for the same property. I am on the phone with them and they thank me for being a valued customer. They tell me they can get someone out within four to five hours. Again, I get off the phone only to receive another message saying it will now be six to eight hours later than promised. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I even selected the supervisor line and was told that no supervisor could call me back because they are in meetings all week. How is that even possible. How are they still in business. This is awful and it is 2025. This is unacceptable customer service and terrible business practice. read more

The scheduling process was so easy, and I quickly received confirmation from the company of an arrival time. I received calls from Chris and Trevor during the checkup process who answered all my questions and put my mind at ease.
