Noel, dental tech, may be competent but has decided a brusque, apparent uncaring manner works best - following Kayla's lead?. Erika the receptionist, is apparently new, and although personable, must follow along with the abuse. Beth, office manager... they say " the fish stinks from the head", it seems to be the case, Smart and doesn't care, it's like talking to a wall. On 9/25/25 I had an unpleasant experience with a Dental Hygienist of Dr Ryan Warner, Mid-County Dental Associates. She insisted on keeping turned on a cable TV station, even though I had asked her to turn off the TV (or change the channel) and told her my reason was that I found that particular CABLE CHANNEL PERSONALLY OFFENSIVE. She surprisingly told that she WOULD NOT DO THAT but she would mute the sound, weirdly stating that she "needed to Stay Informed" AND I could just KEEP MY EYES SHUT. I did not pursue my request further but kept my eyes closed for the cleaning. After all, she had sharp tools in my mouth and FEAR is an effective motivator. What's really sad is I believe Dr. Warner, for whatever reason, has given his permission for this particular hygienist to watch whatever she wants in HER area and that the TV was NOT necessarily there for the patient's relaxation. This strange situation is certainly inconsistent with my prior professional impression of Dr.Warner and not an environment I wish to revisit. I had a temporary crown fall off Friday evening and I believe I swallowed it as I was eating. I called the emergency number that evening and asked for a call back and received none. I called at a few minutes before ten the following day and ask asked for a call back and again received none. I called at one thirty and again got the answering service and asked for a call back explaining the situation. The imbecile on the other end of the line stated, "well, this is just the answering service." I was like, really? How stupid can you be. I'll be finishing my business with the practice this Tuesday and will add other details to this review going forward. Oh yeah, the whole office is about as one in the 1940s. I'm surprised they don't use abacuses to total up your bill. No digital X-rays and hand written charts. The Dental Hygienist does estimates, poorly. Do yourself a favor and give them a pass. Long story short, my dentist noted my complaint, informed me they are implementing digital X-rays, said she will talk with the Dr. who was unavailable and seemed sincere. The staff is very nice and polite. Dr. Bellack was not. Despite repeated warnings about please numb me before multiple injection I was ignored. The pain was enough I was sliding down in the chair, until he stopped and told me to sit up, then kept injecting. When done, he left with instructions for the nurse to give- not even talking to me. I was an emergency patient, but his chair side behavior left me literally waking up in a sweat from nightmares of that procedure for a week. I am left with the feeling he either actively disliked me, or he was very overworked. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Bellack's for close to three years now. I've had nothing but positive experiences to report. The receptionists are always friendly and professional. The staff is very accommodating and flexible whenever I need to reschedule. When coming in for visits, I've never waited longer than two to three minutes to be seen. Dr. Bellack and his team of dental hygienist are also very friendly and professional. I have not needed any serious dental work in my time as a patient, so him and his staff must be doing something right! read more

Here is a copy of the letter that I sent them. I guess that says it all. Don't go to this place. Dear Dr. Feeney: I would like to inform you of the reasons I will not return to Mid-County Dental. 1. Even though you were open for a month, no one ever called me and informed me or offered to make a new appointment for me, no consideration for the fact that I had a previous appointment before the closing 2. I was repeatedly told that I could only get cleanings paid by my insurance once every six months. I even received a bill for cleaning in the mail. This after I had, on multiple occasions, informed your staff that my insurance was different and would pay for two cleanings a year no matter when I got the cleanings. I had dental through Optimum. Obviously, no one bothered to put it in my records, or no one bothered to check 3. I spoke by phone with my hygienist, Lori, and explained that I wrote an essay (I am a writer) that included some information that she gave me based on a question about teeth that I asked her. I requested her last name so that I could send it in the mail. She said that she did not give her last name. I suppose that I would understand this if I were new, but I am not. It was an insult to me. I did go ahead and send it to her anyway, though she did not deserve it. Guess what? She has my full name and address and phone number. Should I be concerned? What if she's some kind of pervert? Do you see what I mean? Therefore, I will seek my dental care elsewhere. I hope to find a genuinely professional dentist office where I am treated with respect, common courtesy and common decency. read more

Update 2019: The female dentist who replaced Dr. Gubernick (who replaced Dr. McFadden) is now gone as well. I have no idea who I will be seeing at my next scheduled dental cleaning. This practice must have some serious problems. read more

If you like early 1980's type dentistry this is your place with Dr. H. Scott Bellack. Initial patient appointment includes ONLY xray and consult for $155.00. Office policy to NOT DO CLEANING on first appointment even when specifically asked for at time of making appointment. Repeated requests during appointment to do a cleaning were refused resulting in requiring a second appointment needing to be made and more dollars to be spent. Nothing digital, old fashioned cardboard film xrays. A tech from another practice came in to do them. Must pay additional $ to get xray copies reproduced as they are not digital and can't be electronically provided. Other individual practices operating in and under the Mid-County name so office layout and voicemail are a tad confusing. read more

We'll usually I don't comment unless the service I've paid for really sucks. She's very attractive Dr Johnson, I'm into myself personality and after several visits for extractions and new denture I've had enough of the young pompous professionals. At 74 years old I've been to many dentists, spent untold thousands of dollars only to loose all my upper teeth the fault of two previous dentists, not Dr Johnson. So having three teeth extracted never had so much pain, never! Had a new denture made which didn't fit to well after receiving but though I'd give it six months. So recently had the denture relined only to find it didn't fit and to make it fit almost ground off all the back teeth. After leaving the office agreed something needed to be done, in the mean time was weekend you know can't find anyone, front gums got so sore couldn't leave it in. Wrote a nasty email over the weekend and receive a phone call from tech not dentist to come back and have the dental lab redo. Redo what? It's already trash, no teeth on back, doesn't fit! Really now, I'm from the old school when a product or service was done right! The young professionals today are only interested in money, period! I know I have a young vet for a daughter, she charges me like I'm a customer, if I can get my pups in. So the moral of this story is look for a professional that is not in it for just the money, good luck finding that! read more
