While dentists sometimes do root canals, if I ever need one again in the future or if my family/friends need one, I will strongly recommend an endodontist, and if they're in St. Petersburg, this practice. The level of professionalism and care I received from start to finish was phenomenal. No one wishes for a root canal and I was extremely nervous, but this experience makes me so grateful that I got the chance to experience St. Petersburg Endodontics. The front desk got me in the same day (which was crucial as I left for a week-long business trip the next day and was in a lot of pain) and explained the total cost upfront so I was prepared. While my insurance is out of network, they're still going to try to run it for me to see if I'll get anything back. The assistant to the endodontist was incredible. She was super friendly, explained everything that was going on, and was comforting me throughout the process to quell my nerves. She gave me a pillow and offered a blanket to make me as comfortable as possible. She took off and put on my temporary crown expertly and worked very well with Dr. Hendricks. I'd want her to be my friend if I had met her somewhere else! Dr. Hendricks himself was wonderful. He was able to diagnose my issue with the office's advanced technology and confirmed I unfortunately did need a root canal. It was painless in his capable hands. The worst part was the novocaine (or whatever anesthetic they used) shot and keeping my jaw open (which he kindly massaged after because he saw my pain) for the procedure, no pain from the process!! He expertly numbed me up and got to work. The whole process from arrival to departure only took an hour. Dr. Hendricks even called later that night to check up on me! Fortunately, aside from the typical post op discomfort, I have no pain and am healing well. If you need a root canal, GO HERE.

I've had two further appointments with her, and she did great work. She's gentle and fast! She's kind and low key. Both of her assistants are really good too, and the front office manager is friendly and helpful. They're in network with a LOT of insurance providers, and they work with you to get the most out of your benefits without going over. If you're paying cash, their up front costs are no higher than any other dental office, and lower than some. It's also a pleasant, modern office. I highly recommend.

So I walked up to my local dentist, Seminole Dental, and got a million dollar smile for pennies on the dollar! I don't even have the adjectives for how great this place is, everyone from the receptionist to the assistants to the amazingly personable and skilled doctor is the best. Quite the opposite of my life experiences up to now. I know the idea that you can actually have a pretty decent time getting 63 teeth pulled might be hard to believe, but I honestly found it to be more enjoyable than most days. We laughed, we talked, I danced once ... did I mention I like dancing? Then I got my new teeth and they are beautiful. My girlfriend went off like the big Independence Day fireworks finale. She said, "Muy Bueno!!!" I had virtually no discomfort, the first night I slept soundly and didn't even muss my hair. I followed their plan for over-the-counter painkillers and haven't suffered one bit. They did the follow-up final fitting in one session. My new teeth are perfect. I cannot begin to describe how perfectly wonderful this dental practice is, and I recommend them as highly as is possible!

I would see my reg, in network DDS for all the routine stuff. Recently, as in this morning, I was told I needed an extraction due to a tooth fracture. This was from an endodontist. I called Dr Kinzler and explained that I needed the procedure and the first thing that Joan, the receptionist said, was that Dr Kinzler doesn't do extractions anymore and they would refer me to an oral surgeon. I was surprised and said "he's done an extractions me me in the past" but before I could finish the sentence she sarcastically said "hookaaay" and handed the phone to Elaine, another receptionist. Elaine explained that Dr Kinzler no longer did extractions unless it was followed by an implant, I explained that was my plan. She said oh well you didn't tell Joan that....I didn't have time too. Joan didn't also say he's doing them only for implants, she said he's not doing them at all and tried to refer me. They're only open 3 days a week with minimal hours which for any normal person with a job is super inconvenient and when I was talking about setting up an appt for a week or 2 from now I was made to feel like I had to set it up right away because "Dr is booked out normally 6 to 8 weeks so they can't garunettee my spot" I felt like I was talking to a legit sales person. First, when you think its just for an extraction, you don't want my business, then when you find out I also wanted an implant, you pressure me to book now. Not only do I feel mocked and disrespected by the front desk staff, I feel that Dr Kinzler is "too good" to do the same procedures he did on me years back, unless I fit his qualifications for what pays him the most. I'll be looking for another dentist to do what I need. Even though I'd love for Kinzler to do it, I have integrity and this last interaction made me feel devalued as a patient.
