I've been a patient here for three or maybe four years now. They have some excellent doctors. One of the things I appreciate most about this place is that they respect my time. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes for an appointment. I only have two criticisms: late afternoon appointments can be hard to come by, and I usually have to book them months in advance. The other is that they can be very slow with medication refills. I'm not too fond of calling them and lighting a fire to get them to do refills promptly. read more

Dr. Vora was phenomenal. She made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns and provided care quickly and efficiently. Her nurse was very attentive and kind as well. The receptionist that checked me in was friendly and provided great customer service. As a new patient, I expected a much longer wait time with lots of paper work. My entire appointment was completed in less than 45 minutes and after filling out my patient portal online (prior to the appointment) I had absolutely 0 paperwork to complete upon my arrival to the office. NP, Bridgette Haney, was wonderful, spent time getting a to know me and answering all my questions. Waited just a couple minutes in waiting room and a couple minutes in exam room. I've been a patient for about a year and a half now. I just tried coming in today for female complications that include and low grade fever/rash. Even though its not Covid, I'm not allowed in the office because I have a low grade fever. My labs can be sent elsewhere for me to be around others and "infect" them, but I'm not allowed at Mid-City. They don't have any other plans in place for patients, but go elsewhere. I love my doctor at Mid-City, but the policies here are ridiculous. I will be finding somewhere else to go! This is why I have established care, so I wouldn't have to scramble to find places that will take my insurance. read more

Beware mothers who struggle with getting pregnant!!!!!! I came in this past week to see Dr Hunt for some light bleeding. I was a new patient and she asked me nothing about my history and wasn't interested to hear any of my concerns. I had elevated hcg levels but was still very early, and I didn't want to get my hopes up because I have a history with miscarriages. She confirmed pregnancy and dismissed all of my questions saying "no you're totally pregnant, stop worrying you're for sure pregnant, congratulations" They brought me a gift basket full of baby things and I left feeling hopeful because, Dr. Know best! But she didn't call the next day to tell me that my hcg levels were plummeting, and when I came in a few days later for more bloodwork and my levels had fallen even more, there was still no phone call to let me know. And when i spent the weekend miscarrying and left multiple messages with her she never got back with me. And here I am 5 days after my miscarriage and she never returned any calls or reached out to check on me when she knew my pregnancy wasn't viable to begin with. I've never felt more ABANDONED by a doctor in my life, and it makes me physically sick to think about how she could have warned me, or simply checked in on me or SOMETHING. Also i was highly offended by some of her comments. When my pregnancy tests came back positive the first thing she asked me is if this was "a wanted pregnancy" and if i would like to keep the baby. And that we "still have rights In Nebraska". She didn't know me, she didn't know we had been trying for a baby for a year now, and that I've had a few miscarriages this year already, she didn't ask. I've been completely irate at what Mid City provided. I took my daughter there to have her put on birth control and they refused and only wanted to "talk about contraceptive options". This of course did not make me happy and was a waste of time but my anger increased 10x more when I got stuck for a bill for $376 just to "talk". We could have done that for free at my PCP. And NOW I will have to pay that again just just get her on birth control. What a RIP off!! If I could give them negative stars I would read more

I had an IUD placed by Dr. Vora on 6/18/21. Immediately after, I complained to the nurse that I was experiencing some annoying itching/poking sensations. The nurse asked if I was allergic to part of the IUD, and when I said no, or that I didn't know because I didn't know what that particular thing was, she just sent me home. I wasn't set up with a follow-up appointment and I wasn't shown how to check the strings, two things clearly noted in the Kyleena literature I was sent home with. I spent the weekend miserable because the strings were visibly protruding. I called on Monday, was unable to schedule an appointment until Tuesday, and then had that appointment cancelled because the PA I was supposed to see was behind schedule. I couldn't wait and I had to reschedule until Thursday afternoon. Five minutes before that appointment, I got a call saying Dr. Vora had to leave but I could see another PA that I had never even heard of and knew nothing about. I was offered a talk with the business manager to explain my frustration, and she is the absolute worst person to have talk to someone who is in pain and upset. She was so rude and told me to calm down and would not give me a chance to explain the situation and that I should just see whoever was available and get the whole thing over with. I ended up having Dr. Kropp remove the IUD, and she was actually attentive, but even her kindness wasn't enough to make comfortable ever going back to this clinic. The whole experience was a bit traumatic and I don't think I will ever be able to see another gynecologist without having an anxiety attack. I will be driving back to Grand Island from Omaha to see my doctor there because I will not be able to trust another doctor or clinic. read more

If I could give Dr. Hedrick more than 5 stars, I would. She is extremely intelligent and informative. Easy to talk and ask questions to. I honestly believe that more women would be less likely to "put off" their own female routine medical care if they had Dr. Hedrick as their OB/GYN. She turns a potentially awkward situation (that no woman really ever looks forward to) into a learning experience. I'm grateful for her. read more

I'm highly unimpressed with Mid City OBGYN and would not recommend it to any woman. Their facilities are highly outdated. They are completely unorganized and there are always employees running around trying to find open rooms. I've been here 3 times and each time they've been running late by at least 15 minutes. I once thought this was a friendly place with a professional staff. I was greeted with a hello and smile. I felt my feelings mattered and felt safe. My thoughts have changed. My appointment last week on March 3rd 2016 was an awful experience. For what I believe to be a joyous time in a woman's life, I felt that I did something wrong as I was being interrogated if my pregnancy was planned and if I was using birth control!?! I am a grown women and this baby is a blessing to me and my family. In addition to that, I was going over my past history with my last pregnancy, how I was high risk due to my blood pressure and other things, and was cut off, and told that I was already high risk due to my age which I thought was very rude! I was then told about all the lab work and tests that would be done first before my first initial appointment. One test was for Down syndrome and was handed a brochure and told that I could read all about it later. I felt like I was taking up their time and I couldn't ask any questions. To top it all off, I go back the following week, hoping for a better experience, and their nurse who took me back for my vitals was so rude. Told me to step up on the scale so she could get my vitals. She got my weight and told me to sit. Took my blood and told me I was free to go and that the doctor would be in touch. I come into work to view my chart that I have set up online and notice that my blood pressure and temperature were imputed on my chart. Now, for a patient who is high risk and with a history of high blood pressure during pregnancy, falsifying patient information could be pretty dangerous and highly unethical! I called the head nurse (same day) to let them know, and she basically told me that I probably didn't remember and that she talked with the nurse and she wouldn't do such a thing and told me I could come back in to have them redone. NO WAY would I recommend this to anyone! They should be ashamed of their unethical practice!! read more

Made an appt. with Dr Sjulin regarding HRT. Saw only nurse practitioners who were nice and seemed pretty knowledgeable but this place is expensive and I can't afford to keep going. They were having me come every 6 weeks and kept wanting to do tests I really didn't want to keep having done...like vitamin D testing. Ended up being about $300/visit with office and tests. I have insurance but a high deductible so would have to pay a lot before I hit that number. I'm actually not going back because of their poor communication. We had decided that the medicine they choose for me was working but they still wanted me to come back for vitamin D testing (which wasn't necessary, frankly and I didn't want to) I was busy with work and saving up my $300 but needed a refill. I called the pharmacy who a couple days later told me the Rx had been denied. At no point did I get a call from the doctor's office before or after and it seems it stems from me not continuing with these $300 trips though I'm not sure. I went to my PCP who filled the Rx. He requested a copy of my records which I provided. After review he did not feel comfortable with the course of action because it wasn't his specialty and advised he was willing to recommend a different OB/GYN if I didn't want to go back to Dr S. As I never really went to Dr S to begin with and can't afford it I'm going to try the over the counter creams instead as I hear they should do the same as the very expensive prescription I was Rx'd. Hopefully that will do the trick and it will come out well for me in the end. The office seems nice to me, kind of upscale. I felt like I didn't make enough money to go there as there was lots of fancy spa type advertising and side office space and then, of course, I saw the bill and can't afford to go there. The one other thing that was weird was that they really seem to want you to have some kind of cancer history. That is, they have you fill out this sheet about family cancer history which my family has zero of the ones they were looking for, they seemed to think I couldn't be accurate about that and multiple people quizzed me on this issue. They especially wanted to quiz on cervical cancer and tell me about it but when I asked them a specific question they realized I could not have this kind of cancer and finally let it go.
