I missed an appointment yesterday (something I have never done), and when I was called, I apologized and was going to schedule another appointment when I was told there was a $25.00 fee for a missed appointment. She never asked if there was a reason I missed my appointment (there was), and when I asked why I needed to pay the fee for a one-time missed appointment, her answer was "it's office policy." Well because of their office policy, my husband, myself, my parents, my son and my daughter-in-law will be going to another eye care center. I hope their $25.00 fee is worth losing six patients.

She dilated my eyes, had me read the chart, explained that my eyes were not perfect and told me it was due to dry eyes. This was ridiculous because I never had dry eyes until they were dilated. I bought the eye drops she recommended....my vision never improved. My followup visit was scheduled 6 months later at 9:30am. I arrived promptly. They asked for the identical insurance information which was already on file. They gave me a beeper and told me to wait in the car. After waiting for over 35 minutes without a beep I went back in the office, handed back the beeper and told them that I couldn't wait any longer. They told me that because of covid it takes time to clean the room. (What BS - alcohol drys in less than 30 seconds!) They assured me that the doctor will be ready in 2 minutes. 10 minutes later...no doctor....I left. I'm sorry....this is inexcusable. They evidently have no respect for a patient's time and certainly do not deserve my business. I will be going to another eye doctor.

What??? Another visit inside of two weeks and another exam and another pupil dilation. Insane. I declined and advised Suburban I would not be returning. Strangely, during my visit and exam, the provider asked why I was there even though she had scheduled the visit for a previous injury. She did not seem to be referring to any notes. The provider also noted that my glasses were not in good shape. She noted the glasses were in poor shape but did not think to provide me a script or have a script available when needed without another visit. Am I to assume that the first exam was not comprehensive? Why would I need another exam within two weeks when nothing changed? Crazy making. Lastly, in review of my past care at Suburban, I think I was referred to their own providers and tests, glaucoma & ultrasounds, when not required by my clinical picture to pad their billing. But getting into the city and parking is very tough. I found Tri County, right in my neighborhood...and Scott Goldstein, MD actually does some work for Will's. And if that wasn't bad enough, they ripped me off for $15. Their billing is questionable to say the least. As soon as I get the bill they call me at home harassing me for payment, WHICH, I really shouldn't have to pay after I paid co payments for the office visit and the medicine itself. My elderly mother was dizzy from her eye problem, and when I kindly asked for updates, the front desk staff member got annoyed and ignored me. A second staff member was the only one who showed any empathy. After an hour of waiting, my mother vomited from the dizziness. Dr. Kaiser was reluctant to see her, insisted her symptoms couldn't be eye-related, and said he couldn't help. Hours later, after two CTs and an MRI, Penn ER confirmed the problem was her right eye. Disorganized front desk, incompetent doctor, wasted morning. I'd look elsewhere.

The first part of your eye exam is proficiently executed by the young tech who then alerts Dr. Durski of your arrival.
