Today, I had the newest Ophthalmologist for my second time. Dr. Jazmin Logendra saw me today after making the appointment yesterday because I was having issues because of my age. She spent forty five minutes with me, had other technicians run other scans and tests on my eyes. She put all the information together and will now discuss all of it with the Senior Ophthalmologist. I first met him when he did my…read morecataract/glaucoma surgery and have continued to see him for continuing care ever since. under his care, My vision improved incredibly and my IOP decreased to a low of 10/10 and high of 19/19. He says my glaucoma is no longer moderate but mild and my peripheral vision is outstanding. If you need cataract surgery or have glaucoma, he is the first doctor you should see. The office experience is also outstanding -- all his employees are cheerful and able to explain every procedure you undergo. His equipment is state-of-the-art, and you don't have to take drops for your IOP to be measured. I cannot recommend Dr. Shafer and his practice enough!

He went above and beyond by even doing the cost comparison for me when I was considering two contact brands, the manufacturer's rebates, and their in-office promotions. I also love that this practice has the option to text their staff, I do find that to be easier than calling because their phone lines are often quite busy. When it was time to order my contacts I had the option to order through the site Dr. Contact Lens or through them directly to save an additional 15% off. I've been a happy customer here and would recommend it!

My daughter was referred to this practice for vision therapy, the doctor was fantastic but the…read morebilling department and front desk staff was horrible. They did not return our phone calls, they do not answer their phone, they were unable to answer our questions when we did finally get a person on the phone, did not mail a doctor letter of medical necessity to our insurance company and did not inform us that our insurance was not covering the therapy. We ended up with months of unpaid bills that we didn't know we were responsible for. We are happy with the doctor but the billing and admin parts of the practice are a nightmare to deal with. We will not be going back to the practice and we have informed the neurologist that recommended the practice about our horrible experience.
