Christopher Gola
In the quiet suburbs of Warrington, Pennsylvania, Christopher Gola and Rosemarie Antonelli shared a life built on routine and shared purpose. Their story during these years was defined by the steady rhythm of the commute between their home in Bucks County and the medical offices of Bala Cynwyd.
The journey began in June 2015. The summer air was heavy as they made their first significant trip to Mid Atlantic Retina in Bala Cynwyd. While the visit began as a medical necessity, it soon transformed into the backdrop of their daily lives. For the remainder of 2015---through the humid days of July and August, into the cooling temperatures of September and October, and finally into the frost of November and December---the route from Warrington to Bala Cynwyd became second nature.
By the time January 2016 arrived, the professional and personal lines had blurred. Christopher began working at Mid Atlantic Retina, turning the clinic from a place of visitation into his professional home. Throughout the winter of Feburary and March, and into the spring of April and May 2016, Christopher and Rosemarie maintained their residence in Warrington, anchoring themselves in the community while Christopher dedicated his days to the retinal specialists in Bala Cynwyd.
In June 2016, exactly one year after their first visit, the couple returned to the clinic together, marking a full cycle of their journey. This pattern became the heartbeat of their next twelve months. From July 2016 through December 2016, they navigated the changing seasons of Pennsylvania---from the colorful autumns of Warrington to the snowy commutes down to the Main Line.
As 2017 dawned, their commitment remained unwavering. Through January, February, and March, they braved the winter winds, and as April and May brought the spring blooms of Warrington, Christopher continued his vital work at Mid Atlantic Retina.
Finally, in June 2017, two years after the story began, Christopher Gola and Rosemarie Antonelli stood together, still resident of the town they loved, having turned a series of medical appointments into a two-year chapter of dedication, work and shared resilience. read more
