Was greeted instantly by a gentleman in the shoe section who was quick to recommend a few choices and didn't hesitate to go back and forth a few times. Big 5 has a decent selection of shoes and some big names. However, there prices are still too close to what you would pay in a named shoe store itself, like nike, adidas, new balance, etc. And while I didn't end up buying anything the customer service and staff as a whole were super helpful and pleasant. Lastly, now that it is summer they most certainly have everything one would need with regards to swimwear, pop up chairs, towels you name it. This Big 5 location has been a fixture in Culver City for a long time. Let's hope it stays that way.

When I walked by this time, it was the pile of miscellaneous welded metal sculptures on the metal cart outside that caught my eye initially. And then I saw Hello Kitty on the shelf. These are great metal sculptures created to invoke various figurines and generalized artistic elements. Some of these metal sculptures are based on things like, Star Wars, while others are just simply very unique conglomerations of metal imaging. They're really great! You can also find various other items in this shop, such as baseball caps, T-shirts, and the like. But, the true reason to go into the shop is their metal art. Whether it is some of the gigantic figures that they have in the front of their store, or the metal art objects that line their shelves, these not only make a truly unique gift, but they also can be that interesting element you need to add to your own home or office environment.

It had a great selection of quality bicycles at reasonable prices. They stock Trek, Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Colnago, Pinarello and more in all types of bikes (road, hybrid, mtb, etc.). I was looking for a specific Trek Madone in a size small and this is the only local store that had it in stock. I called in advance to confirm its availability and set up a time to view the bike. I spoke with Monty. On the day of my visit, I met with Monty, took the bike for a spin, and took her home, along with a few other items (pedals, computer mount and water bottle cages). It was a smooth and easy transaction. Monty did the basic fitting and the guys in the service area installed all of the other items. The service area was busy with customers picking up and dropping off their bikes. Some even stopped in during their rides for a quick fix. Customer service was outstanding! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. If I could rate it higher, I would... Pedals (my dog) had a great time hanging out in the store. We will be back!
