I understand BBQ is probably the most scrutinized but I'm not a BBQ regular and just trying to be objective. I got a two meat plate which also came with two sides. The pulled pork was more like sloppy Joe style with way too much sauce. The brisket was really thin and more like bacon. I thought the amount of food was small. It all fit on one 8-10" plate. The price was $18.99 plus all the extra OS taxes and tip so ended up being $25 for lunch. Unfortunately, I regretted eating here; especially contemplating other options I could eat out for $25 and decided I won't be back.

Now that they have expanded at this location, it seems like it's gone downhill. The smaller locations have always been better. The burnt ends I had at the smaller location were tender, fresh, and plentiful, the last few times I've come to this new LARGE location, the first time they were out of burnt ends, second time they were dry and crumbly - like they been left under a heat lamp for 2 days. Potato salad, house salad, and fries are good. Collards are hit or miss. You can't tell they're even open, both times we've been we are the ONLY customers. The whole staff is so bored. They're pretty friendly considering they only have to tend to one or two people at a time. The open signs never on and the windows are dark so they look closed. I do enjoy the drinks, atmosphere, and good bbq but since this new spot has opened they've really gone downhill. I'm not sure I'll be back to this location if I ever decide to return - it's really a bummer. Even more depressing is the Bay St. Louis location closing because the bartender was friendly and kept great conversation, burnt ends I had there were the best, and I thought the location was great.

When we arrived at Bonfire me and my date were the only ones there. I have no idea how long it had been open but it looked brand new. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I loved the lighting fixtures and the design of the seating area. There was also a dj that added to the atmosphere. Bonfire being a Jamaican restaurant I thought it apt to order the Jerk Chicken. You get 2 sides with the entree. I ordered the mac and cheese and french fries. My date got the catfish along with the potato salad and french fries. I was eager to dig in when the food came back. First off the fries were very crisp and fried to perfection. The mac and cheese was delicious. It was some of the best I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The jerk chicken was absolutely amazing. It came with the jerk sauce on the side. Honestly, I really didn't need it. The chicken had a delicious smoked flavor. It tasted like chicken you'd eat at a summer bbq. I can not say enough about the jerk chicken. I tasted the catfish my date ordered and it was really good too. I really would love to come back here and try more things.

They charge $4 for drinks like tea, and I had to ask for a refill despite it being obviously empty. I had jerk chicken ($16.75) and it was very flavorful and tender, but they hack up a leg and thigh with a cleaver so you have to pick through a lot of bone and there wasn't all that much meat. For the sides I had potato salad which looked like it came from a plastic tub at the grocery store, but the plantains were very good. Total of everything plus a drink and tip was over $26 - for lunch! Overall, I don't think it's worth the price. The inside was very nice and clean but the place was pretty empty at noon on a weekday.

This gem…read morehas quickly become my go-to spot for all things BBQ, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by the tantalizing aroma of smoked meats that instantly whets your appetite. The rustic decor adds to the charm, creating a cozy atmosphere that feels like home. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready with recommendations and a smile. Now, let's talk about the food! The star of the show is undoubtedly their brisket. It's perfectly smoked, tender, and bursting with flavor. Each bite melts in your mouth, and the homemade BBQ sauce adds just the right amount of tang. The ribs are equally impressive--fall-off-the-bone tender and glazed with a sweet, smoky sauce that has just the right kick. Don't skip the sides! The mac and cheese is creamy and rich, while the coleslaw provides a refreshing crunch that balances the richness of the meats. And if you're a fan of cornbread, you're in for a treat--it's fluffy, slightly sweet, and the perfect accompaniment to your meal. For dessert, I highly recommend the pecan pie. It's the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal, with a flaky crust and a gooey filling that will have you coming back for seconds. Whether you're dining in or taking out, Smokey's BBQ Haven delivers an unforgettable experience. The combination of incredible food, welcoming service, and a laid-back atmosphere makes it a must-visit for BBQ lovers. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!
