HORRENDOUS! I was…read moreconnected with Keller WIlliams via realtor.com and in 2 weeks I have dealt with the worst broker I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. I found the location and did all the legwork and need an offer letter only, when I spoke with David I was told this is no problem and easy , I discussed costs and was told it would only coast me $775 for his work on this place. The offer letter was signed and he did NOTHING for 3 days. I called and asked for an update and was told he had never submitted the offer letter, 3 days wasted. He then sent an offer letter that the seller would pay his 3% compensation, something we never agreed to! The seller rejected the offer, and that was all David did. I had to reach out again to do a higher counter offer and it was rejected because the seller did not want to pay for Davids commission he added on. This caused me to lose this house. David never offered to find me a location, never worked with me on any step of the realty process and would not let me out of the buyers agreement. I found a SECOND house on my own and did all the work with the selling agent, David again added his commission and the offer was rejected.. I demanded David cancel the buyers agreement over the phone(he would not), via text, he would not, and via numerous emails. I even had to get a lawyer involved to draft up a notice of termination of the buyers agreement. David is continuing to fight and add clauses into the cancellation even after I spoke with Scott the "boss" of this location. Scott contInues to say he will help and to not worry about the clauses in the cancellation yet will not remove the clauses and end this nightmare. It has been 2 weeks of the worst customer service, the complete lies of fees and "services rendered" when there were none. I am reporting them to the BBB and the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) as the calls and emails are harassing, misleading(completely lying on their part) and it has caused me to lose out on 2 houses I found, viewed on my own and worked with the sellers on my own with no help from David or Keller Williams. I tried to work this out with both of them and nothing was resolved so I am forced to leave reviews to warn people to NOT work with them at all ever. I thought the point of a real estate agent was to make the house buying process smooth, easy, and safe not to get both offers rejected because of an added cost that was never relayed to me ever. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Not trust worthy, not upfront and not professional ever.

He is super nice and took his time explaining and helping us through every stage of the process. He makes a transaction go very smooth. He is a very experienced as he's been an agent for such a long time. What I really like about Paul is he doesn't put any pressure at you. If you don't like the home you see, he will go back and find new homes for you. What matters to him is that you find the home you love! I hope you get to have the same experience as I had with Paul and find the house you want.

Most of the time tge office is closed as they don't like residents to come in and talk to them about issues. None of them seem to enjoy working here. Both the head of maintenance and the general manager live on site - to be accessible - they ignore calls / never respond to emergency situations and flat out ignore residents. This property could be great w the right mgmt... the community is well landscaped but it's the staff that make this place unbearable. I have complained as little as possible in my 3 yrs here but have had to more and more recently. I have had unreal noisy neighbors that moved in above me (sent in complaints / that go unaddressed) Then I had a huge bathroom leak on MLK holiday that did not get addressed because they claimed it was a holiday and it caused damage and to the carpet. But now the worst has happened - We has a power surge in our building and I have been without water for over 4 days! I will be reporting this tmrw to both the BBB and our licsl health department. This is is beyond wrong. Do not move here at any costs.... you will be disappointed. It looks lovely on the outside but it is a terrible place to live. Also - We have been without our pool for mist of two years from covid and most recently over 3 mos due to renovation. it is still not open. We pay for amenities that we can not use! Like hot water? That is the final straw. Karen Cedillo, the most recent new manager here is rude and dismissive and should be ashamed of herself. Take my advice and Do not move to Shappell Properties esp Tesoro Senior Apartments.

I second everything Pam P. has said (with one exception*). Having lived here longer than Pam, I can…read moreassert that we would be better off with no management office at all than with the one we have. "Management" manages nothing but is inconsiderate, rude, and completely unresponsive to residents, leaving us insulted as well as ignored. Perhaps they do manage one thing: keeping the units as full as possible without regard to the quality of tenant they accept or allow to stay. They certainly pay no attention to reports of egregious aggression, harassment, and abuse by certain dangerous tenants against others. They do not enforce the age-restrictions that presumably afford seniors a quiet and safe home. The decline from the early days is disheartening and a serious blow to our quality of life. The non-management staff may as well not be there, either, in terms of resident support. One staffer is pleasant but utterly powerless and ineffective; the other one, who has been here for years, is condescending toward the residents, acts put out when approached, and is just as ineffective. It's very telling that the only resident-friendly manager Shapell has hired in recent years bailed suddenly after just a few months. My guess is that he was too attentive and caring for Shapell's taste. The online brochure for Tesoro Senior Apartments, not to mention the "luxury apartments" sign at the front gate, are, shall we say, exaggerations. The vaunted "view" of the Valley has been obliterated by the construction of apartments and a large shopping center. No appropriate fencing has been provided to keep us and our pets safe from the unfortunate starving coyotes who live up the hill. Parking is a joke: one slot per unit is allocated per the lease, with a small number of slots reserved for "visitors;" however, most of the visitor slots are casually occupied for months at a time by second or third cars of residents. (So don't plan on inviting anyone over if you live here.) Inside, our "luxury" apartments are small, with inadequate sound-proofing between floors (the vertical walls are okay), contractor-grade carpeting and mini-sized outdated appliances. The plumbing appears to be outdated, too, considering the number of water outages we experience ("Sorry for the inconvenience"). Storage (closet space) is a huge problem, so if you are down-sizing from a house, make sure you get rid of everything or plan to rent an outside storage unit. The limited communal laundry facilities are in frequent disrepair. Dogs: it's wonderful that Tesoro is pet-friendly; however, recently tenants with huge dogs are being granted leases, presenting serious danger and noise-pollution to fellow residents. Oh, and cell phone reception is virtually unavailable on the north side of the complex. I know I'm forgetting stuff, but you get the idea. *The one highlight of life at Tesoro is the marvelous group of women who do the cleaning and most of the inside maintenance. They are very competent, thorough, and cordial. I give them kudos and thumbs up. Why do I stay? Because I can't afford to move. Believe me, I check around every year.
