    a band performing on stage

Our local band played in support of a health and wellness benefit hosted by Mickey's Black Box (MBB) at Rock Lititz on November 13th 2022. This was a setting few local bands get an opportunity to perform in. For those not local, Rock Lititz is build on the foundation of two to three companies that are leaders in the live concert support - professional lighting and audio. This professionalism spills over to MBB as the light and audio support is world class. Beyond the technical support the staff, caterers, MBB organizers and the technical team could not have been more gracious. The technical team when way above and beyond answering questions about he audio and lighting set up and never once displayed a bit of attitude. If you are looking to host a mid or large size event in the central PA region I would seriously recommend you put MBB on your short list of go to venues.

Stopped by Bulls Head Public House to check out their brunch menu, and it was a great experience…read more We ordered the Ham & Brie on a pretzel bun with cheddar, Granny Smith apples, and apple butter, along with the Fish & Chips with a beer-battered fillet, lemon, and remoulade. Everything came out exactly as expected, and the flavors worked really well together. The Ham & Brie had a nice balance of sweet and savory, and the Fish & Chips was crispy and cooked well. Also had a mimosa with brunch, which was a nice addition. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Lititz or just a place for good food and drinks, this is definitely worth checking out.

Limited items but enough to choose from the theme is a British public house. They fully embrace that feeling I got bangers and mash , I now what a Cumberland sausage taste like, pretty good reminded me of a good breakfast sausage. The mash must have been made with turnip and potato as it was slightly sweet, onion gravy was spot on as were the carrots. The spouse went with the quesadilla. she stated the steak was really good. Ice tea for both of us . unexpectedly water was available for any one from a tap near the doors. Plastic cups, no purchase needed. Great idea! We shall return, nice place and good food is hard get any more. $42.30 plus tip we always tip at 20% ( or the spouse gets testy.) but the server / cleaner didn't get the idea it was for her, I actually had to say " this is a tip, for you! But for lunch I stuck with their Cajun grilled tenders and fresh cut fries. Typically you can't go wrong. My wife loves their summer berry salad! She claims its the best salad in Lancaster County! Service was quick and the waitress was very kind. The entire staff here is always great! If you love vibes, Cat's Meow screams a unique speakeasy restaurant. This place takes you back to the Great Gatsby. Tons of photos of Louis Armstrong and other famous people from back in the day! In the summer, Capone's alley is open which is their outdoor patio.

If you have a large party, you need to make a reservation since there's only 2 spots they can really put a party of more than 4. Parties of more than 4 have 2 hour time limits and parties less than 4 are limited to 1 hour just FYI. The food was pretty good, and the ambiance was cozy and classy 1920s theme. Love the history of the place and how it's well kept. There's a big banquet hall in the top of the building if you ever plan to host a large event (can hold up to 26 people) or dinner. The prices of meals are about $20+ (the appetizers are somewhere between $10.99-$15). Overall good experience!

Be the first to review this somewhat hidden gem of a music venue and brewery? don't mind if I do!…read more Over my past couple of years of listening to them, Foxy Shazam has evolved into being a band that I really needed to see live. So when I saw that they were playing this random Millersville venue not all that far away I was instantly intrigued, and then I was even more sold when I saw that the venue also brewed their own beer. I also loved that it was a non-Ticket Master venue that used Eventbrite to sell tickets without an insane amount of hidden fees. And when I checked it out it was a hidden gem of a pleasant surprise. Unless you go to Millersville University, the area that the venue is at is one that you might not frequent. But Phantom Power is one of those few other reasons to visit since it delivers a fine assortment of local flavor events and national touring acts. Regular events include things like gothic/industrial dance parties, comedy nights, a Kegs and Eggs weekend brunch event, or just chilling in their outdoor beer garden on good weather days. I would absolutely go to things like these if Millersville was even closer! But on the flip side Phantom Power has also been seeing a good surge of national acts coming through thanks to WXPN taking notice for shows and them just being a fun and reliable space which I'll get to. In addition to Foxy Shazam I've seen big local names like Hop Along and mewithoutyou, indie acts like Delta Spirit and Sondre Lerche, Industrial and Punk bands like Front 242 and Reverend Horton Heat, and WTF WoW shows like Tim Cappello from Lost Boys (I still believe! - https://youtu.be/LpuwcINDHnQ) on their current and past lineup. It kind of reminds me of pleasantly filled memory venues of yesteryear like the Trocadero, only with a better beer list! Once we made our way through the lot to the venue we realized how big it is. Outside of their brunch event, they don't have a menu of their own, but I love the food truck connections they have and really wish I could remember the name of the BBQ truck that had those glorious smoked wings! The on-site brewed beer was as much of a hidden gem as the music venue since we enjoyed IPAs, stouts, pilsners, ESBs, and some other good varieties. The one suggestion I have is that, with a music venue of its caliber that also has a good beer list, it would be useful for them to have more sheld space to leave cups on during a jam-packed show like the one we were at, Foxy Shazam is one of those good energy rock bands that I would have enjoyed without good sound or lighting. But the fact that they had both in spades definitely helped. Now that I know this hidden gem is a success I'm checking their Facebook and Eventbrite pages (they don't actually seem to have their own site outside of those) for eye-catching shows, and you should do the same!
