I want a place that my daughter was going to go to school where she can grow up with kids around her that feel like family. The school is kept extremely clean, they are very good at communicating, and I love the events they do for all the children. I highly recommend this school to anyone when they ask me. There will be no other place I would want my daughter to be!

We did that and he qualified for some help. The day we found out he qualified for early intervention we told The Clifton Little School. The very next day we got a letter in his cubby to set up a meeting. The director "J", told me that he was a hazard and that they wanted him out of the school... he wasn't a hazard, he is active and not a robot. She made it sound like my son was a problem child and said he needed a "special school" that can handle him. Meanwhile the daily reports I got from his teacher where all good and positive. We found another school, a nice normal day care that just wants the best for the children in their school, it's the Allwood Play and Learn if anyone what's to know and they get 5 stars from me. The owner is absolutely involved, not just a check writer and she cares about our kids. The Clifton Little School was such a big let down for us, they know how to promote themselves with having Channel 12 News there for their Halloween Parade but what they don't tell anyone is their dirty secret that if your child needs a little extra help they will kick your child out of their school. My child isn't the only one this has happen to. Talking to the director of the school she makes it sound like they have a perfect school, they don't!! Don't take my word for it. I have a completely conflicting view than the woman below me. My son was very introverted, shy,…read morewouldn't play with children or wouldn't learn a thing from me. He started there in the summer program at 3 1/2 just to get him socialized with other kids. He was nervous at first but very quickly made friends he talked about every day. They incorporated him into their sessions flawlessly. When September started, he became an excellent kid! He had new friends he now talks about every single day. The boys stop playing just to see my son walk in, some wait by the window to watch him leave, the girls love waving goodbye and telling their moms who it is. His handwriting went from horrendous chicken scratch to legible. He knows his days, his weather, seasons, emotions, he knows the letters in his name and how to recognize it when written. He knows the structure in his classroom and applies that to home. His personality has only gotten better since attending this school! Another big plus, there is a dome of Lysol doom around this building. You can smell it oozing out of the windows. The level of cleanliness has been unmatched in any of the other schools I've seen in the area! Not every school is for every child and it isn't always the teachers but sometimes how well the child blends in with the other children. My only gripe is it is a little pricey. $46.00 a day plus anything else adds up real fast. I just thank god I have family to help. One last gripe with what the person below me wrote... The kids are trained to fall in line. Where in life are we not falling in some sort of line? Work, there is a 'line' to follow. School there is a 'line'. Unless your a parent who praises your child for being carefree, unable to follow rules (which is tolerated SO highly by everyone else on this planet), you have to learn how to fall in some form of a line and structure.

Everyone is certified which is a rare find (I know this from having previously worked in a daycare environment). It was a difficult decision for me to send my daughter to daycare, but I can confidently say choosing TLS was the best decision. My nieces attended this daycare a few years back and it was great then. The love, care and attention given to the children is excellent. I appreciate Priscila's love for the children and wanting to make sure they learn and play in a clean and developmentally safe environment. My little one was timid and concerned at first since she has spent her first year with only her dad and myself but now she loves going and even waves good bye to me. She smiles as soon as she sees her teachers and the other kids. I hear them all cheering when she walks in the door and she leaves with a smile on her face. She comes home with projects which let me know she is learning colors, letters and enjoying the special days that are offered. The curriculum is age-appropriate and they encourage play throughout. I also appreciate the professional communication I have experienced with everyone. Lastly, after much research on the cost of daycare, I have to say TLS quality supersedes the affordable tuition! Overall a great daycare, The Learning Studio is a hidden gem in the heart of Clifton!

They are kind,…read morepatient, nurturing and work every day to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for each of the kids and their families. I have had the pleasure of enrolling both my children (currently 3.5 and 1.5) at the Bloomfield campus. My daughter started in the toddler room at 18 months and my son in the infant room at 9 months. The teachers we have had direct experiences with (Ms. Gunes, Ms. Alaa, Ms. Layla, Ms. Blanca, and all of the classroom assistants) have treated us like family from the very beginning. The Montessori curriculum has been wonderful for our children - learning practical life skills and independence while also expanding their social and emotional development. Every week, I am impressed by what my kids have picked up academically, even at their young ages. Whether it be geography, letter/sound recognition, manners, counting, or about different cultures and religions - it's apparent the school is passionate about their curriculum. In addition, the teachers and administration plan so many fun activities and events throughout the school year, including annual trunk or treats, winter concerts, class holiday parties, field days/trips, and parent education sessions, to name just a few. The staff spend a great deal of time organizing and facilitating these events (usually after normal work hours) and that does not go unnoticed. Communication has been great for us. Individual student group chats are set up at the beginning of the school year for parents to communicate with the teachers and administration, which we have found very helpful. The staff promptly inform of us any incidents and are quick to respond if we have a question or concern. They also utilize two apps to share pictures/videos of the kids, class updates, and school wide announcements. All of these have allowed us to feel connected with the school, other families, and we are very appreciative of the open communication. On a more personal note, my son has several food allergies (7 in total), which presents daily challenges for our family. The head infant room teacher (a literal angel on earth!) and administration have done everything and more to help ease our stress and anxiety and accommodate his needs, starting well before he even entered the classroom. As a parent, you are always worried about your kids well-being, this is amplified even more when your child has severe food allergies, but I know I can rest assured that my son is in the best of care here. This school has been a safe haven for both of my kids, and I will forever be grateful for them helping shape my kids' early education experience.
