What an amazing place for children! Every staff person I met…read morewas polite, professional and friendly. Administration was wonderful and accessible. The teachers and teacher assistants are patient, speak kindly with the children and are very communicative with parents. My goddaughter absolutely LOVED being here and was (and still is) devastated that she couldn't continue to attend for Kindergarten! The only consolation was that she could attend after school for more great social development! The rooms are clean and stocked with age appropriate materials and the little students all looked so happy to be there. Don't hesitate--run to enroll your precious angel here!!

They provide breakfast and lunch daily, weekly trips (which my son loves!), there are weekly special activities on site and they do water play and go to local playgrounds. My son has made friends that return in the summer, just like he does, and he looks forward to seeing them. There is a lot to do and ms. Surita, ms. Wendy, ms. Lulu communicate well with parents. They offer full time hours (5 days a week, 10 hrs/ day) for 8 weeks, this is hard to get with the free, public school Summer camp program. Overall, we recommend their summer camp.

My son took time to adjust his first year and in no time he was making friends, loved his teachers and learned beyond what I expected. They are attentive, communicative and they've become part of the family and we're very thankful. We had the pleasure of growing with amazing teacher who I hope to still be around when my youngest is ready to attend pre-school.

I was particularly concerned about the leadership of chief operating officer Caitlin Gallagher and Director of People and Culture Lesley Perez. I also witnessed staffing practices that raised serious questions about whether teachers had the appropriate qualifications. Parents should ask important questions about staff credentials, supervision, safety procedures, and how complaints and irregularities are handled before choosing this school. Children deserve a safe, properly managed, and accountable environment.

Though my children are quite different from each other, JHELC has been able to cater to their individual needs with ease. My daughter had a fantastic summer. The staff at ELC kept her inquisitive mind at work - she was tasked and happy, soaking up their weekly themed programming. They wore her out with playing too, which is not an easy feat. On the other hand, they have treated my son with a more gentle touch, working with him on communication - his greatest obstacle. His language skills have greatly improved since starting at JHELC & I know that's it's not because he's not being heard there - it's because he is. This review may seem a bit biased, but it's only because I have been so happy with my experiences at JHELC. My kids love the staff and I know that the staff genuinely and passionately care for them too. We are welcomed with open arms every day and my children are treated as individuals with unique needs and keys to learning. The staff is open to input and feedback, which is very important. The administration is hands on and always enthusiastically working to elevate the program.

The teachers were warm and attentive and the activities were fun and creative. The owners have always been kind and have supported me as a parent. I'm a bit reluctant to write this review because this nursery is a bit of a hidden gem, and my…read moresecond child will need a daycare soon. My wife and I toured this place, and others, when we were checking out daycares. One of the biggest reasons why my wife and I chose this place is because the children seem like they have fun. When we visited, the kids were socializing and playing with each other. In other daycares, the children seem subdued and withdrawn and not as playful. In fact, some of the children recognize me now and walk up to me to say hi or share their toy when I go pick up my daughter. I think their friendliness is partly due to how they're treated here. My child loves this place. I enrolled my daughter when she was about 2.5 years old. There was of course and adjustment period, but shortly after two weeks, my daughter became used to the idea of coming here and even looking forward to it. I have no doubt the extra TLC that the staff gave her the first few weeks contributed to her feeling welcome. I think dropping my daughter off became harder for me than it was for her (conceal, dont feel). She's been enrolled here over a year now. She comes home with art projects that they do in class, I catch her singing songs that I know she learned while in school here. She tells me about her friends and the types of games they play. She recently told me that she needs to start bringing a toy for show and tell on Fridays. The staff here is very warm and considerate. Unlike other daycares where the teachers are college students or young adults, you can tell that the teachers here have children of their own. They will treat your child as if he or she was one of their own as well.

We highly recommend them! My baby loves the teachers and classes. She is learning so many and…read moreenjoying it! It's just few months she started going to the school but she has already learned so much! I believe the most important thing to 2-3 yrs old babies to grow up nicely is huge love and nice teachers, not just learning ABC or numbers. They offer everything my kid needs now. They are trusted!

I signed up both my kids for GT testing years ago, and for an afterschool program relatively more…read morerecently. My experience is mostly disappointing. Hope things have improved over the years. I am giving one star because back years ago, one tutor worked hard with my kid with special needs. After that their GT tutoring of my otherwise highly advanced student failed. I ended up preparing him myself. And he is in a gifted program but only because of me. The teacher misinformed me that my child had covered all Material - turned out at home, he didn't. Not sure why the teacher decided to spin reality - I think he didn't care. Next, when we tried their afterschool program- another disappointment. Their staff didn't know how to work with kids. They insisted that I take him out because he wasn't able to do homework on his own. Irene called me every day, harassing me at work and creating urgency where it didn't exist. Again- failure to work with kids in this business is failure at everything. I thought people should know that this space cherry-picks the kids they want that are "iklass compliant" and that they push other kids out through harassing calls. Good things have changed over the years and they have learnt to be inclusive of all learners. No kid learns the same way. And they should absolutely know that in this business.
