Wouldn't even rate him one star. Very rude to me and my elderly grandmother. first encounter he walked by me and stared at new toilets. First words out of his mouth "if you want these installed they should be inside". As this is obvious but I'm only one person, I told him I couldn't do it by myself and that his boss told me he'd do it himself but I offered to help him anyway then as we go in he proceeded to complain about toilets being upstairs. If he doesn't like the job he WAS going to be paid for then don't accept it. Oh he also didn't have the proper tools to do the job. Told him nevermind we are good and he left immediately didn't question why. Also broke my toilet even more to where it's unusable. Only problem with it was it was running. He broke the over flow tube at the base so now my toliet runs even more and doesn't even fill up. read more

***PSA SAN ANTONIO*** - Customer Beware!!! I've been waiting to do this review to see if Jason would return our money, but he hasn't. He has blamed it on us (the customer) the bank and taken no responsibility for returning our down payment of $637.50. You can scroll through the text messages attached and see how unprofessional this handyman is, DO NOT be fooled, by other reviews. We are still without our money that was paid on 15 September 2020, and I am writing this on 24 September 2020. We sent the money to Jason through Zelle and as soon as we did, he cancelled the bid (See attached text messages). Which is fine but he claimed the money never came through. The next morning we tried contacting Jason and got no response. So we contacted Zelle via USAA and put a stop payment claim. Which didn't work because Jason had already received the money. Once we notified Jason that we tried a stop payment on the Zelle transfer, we received more text messages (please read them) and a voicemail from him irate that we submitted a claim against him. To top things off, we then we received another voicemail from his wife stating not everyone wakes up before 9am. REALLY, who does that as a business? Now he is claiming it will take 45 days to refund our money because we put a claim in against him. Which again is false. He is claiming we are withholding our information, again which is false, In Zelle all you have to do he has to do is add the phone number and transfer the money back. This company has zero customer service and continually threatened us with calls to lawyers (see attached text messages), for what I don't know, they have our money and provided no services. So, we did a little more digging...we initially chose this company based on their reviews and his BBB accreditation. Well that is false as well, see the attached photos from the BBB, this company is not BBB accredited as their website states. If you go into the BBB to scope out this company you will also see others that have had the same treatment that we are currently receiving and there is no telling when this will resolve. I would not recommend this Handyman. He is not professional at all. I'm a disabled veteran and I had him come to my home to give me some estimates on quite a few things I was looking to have fixed around my home. He provided me some estimates on a notepad and when I crossed some off he immediately gave me discounts on some of them because I couldn't afford the prices he wanted. I asked him to send me a contract for which he did and I had questions on one of the items as one of the other handymen I had out couldn't get the cedar boards that were required. The cedar boards were also longer and larger than what he quoted so I was just trying to get clarification and he sent me an email where the content of the email was "really". SInce he was willing to give me a discount off the prices I was willing to have him do the job so I told him as long as we could agree the cedar boards were larger than what he quoted I would go ahead with it. I zelled him the deposit which was half of the total cost but at the same time I zelled him the money he told me he was rescinding his contract. I told him I already sent the money and he told me he would get it back to me. He then told me he never received it and he would call his bank in the morning. I didn't hear back from him the next morning so I contacted my bank close to 10 am and they said I could put in a dispute to get my money back. As a courtesy, I told him what I had done and he immediately sends me a text saying he was contacting his lawyer and then he immediately tried to call me back (I didn't answer as I was at the Toyota Service Dept at the time) and left me a message saying not everyone gets up before 5 am or 9 am (wasn't clear) and that he was trying to give me my money back (he didn't tell me he received it at this point). His wife then immediately calls and leaves me a message saying they were trying to get my money back but I wasn't responding and it was not cool for me to put a claim against them. Jason then tells me he can't send my money back without a receipt. I just heard back from my bank that I have to work it out with Jason and the external bank refused to send the funds. I texted him this morning he said he contacted his bank and it could take up to 45 days so I will wait and update the post once I receive my funds back. edit: Now, after posting this review, I received another text message with another attorney threat from this company for slander. I welcome the attorney call. Expect to hear from the BBB soon. read more

In our first meeting with Jason to bid a job in my son's house undergoing an extensive remodel, he jumped into an electrical issue we were having and fixed it before we had even hired him. Jason truly cares about his customers and takes no short cuts. You can be sure everything will be done to code as well as to his own very high standards. Jason is honest, ethical and a great handyman with talents in many areas. We feel very lucky having found him and will call him in the future with any household projects we might have. Do NOT Use! Stay Very Far Away! Jason Mickel (Owner), completely failed at providing quality work, customer service and honoring is obligations. The Owner did a very poor job on installing our new pre-hung exterior door. Jason showed up a full hour LATE. The project took Jason and his partner 9 hours to install complete. Sadly, the work was done CARELESSLY, the sealant was globed on and the door was not aligned properly. I contact and spoke with Jason multiple times regarding the work. Jason apologized and promised he would return to correct. We have sinced attempted to reschedule these corrections THREE times with Jason with no prevail. Everytime is a different excuse on why he cannot show up. Needless to say Stay Very Far Away From These Folks. Bad Business! read more
