Tried this place out roughly 1 year ago and have been back 5-6 times. Most of those massages were performed by Joselyn except for one. All of them were excellent. I've been to other places, Massage Envy to name one, and the massages at the chain places do not compare to the ones done by Michelle's Massage & Spa. I normally get a 90 minute Sports Massage and I feel sore but refreshed after, and within a few days I'm feeling great. I highly recommend them. read more

Visit: 09/15/2015 I had a 60-minute 4 hand massage by Rhoda and Jovelyn - they were both great! One had a lighter relaxing touch while the other did more of a deep tissue massage. They both took turns on each spot, so the balance of the two different massage methods were perfect. read more

I came here for the first time today for a 90 minute Swedish massage. Massages are such a treat but since they're kind of pricey, I only get 1 or 2 a year. $100 for 90 minutes was really reasonable based on the other prices I was seeing online. My masseuse was Yolanda and she was excellent. She did a great job, had such a calm demeanor, and didn't chitchat during the massage (perfect since I don't like chatting my way through a massage). The music was nice, the room was dark, and I chose the optimal aromatherapy (at no cost) which was a eucalyptus spray. I love eucalyptus so it was perfect. She was incredibly thorough and I was so relaxed and happy afterwards. I hope to come back with my boyfriend for a couples massage. Since this place is so close to home and easy to get to off Shea and the 51, I hope to go many more times. read more

I have been here twice now and have to say it is my favorite spot for a massage in Phoenix. Both time I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage and came out with my muscles relaxed from my neck to my feet. The masseuse was very skilled and worked out all the strained muscles from exercising, stress and just the effects of day to day strain. Excellent! First time to this location to get in for a last minute couple's massage. We have had dozens of massages at various spas in various cities and this was in our top two! Very unassuming location in a strip mall; but very clean and quiet spa. The staff actually made suggestions in advance based upon our recent physical activity to improve the experience. The massage was equally therapeutic, relaxing, and despite working on some tough areas, we were not sore the next day. The best part was that it was a very reasonable compared to other locations in the local market and we received a full hour and aromatherapy. We will make this our regular location! read more

I have had some good massages and some really bad massages in my life. This was, by far, the best massage I think I have ever received!! She worked every single kink and knot out of my body with the gentlest of ease, and without hurting my joints. For my boyfriends birthday I purchased a Groupon for a couples Swedish message. We have never had messages and this was our first time getting one. It was such an awesome experience! This is a very wonderful little find. Polite and calm inside, very clean and freshly painted. Soothing colors and sounds. Eucalyptus and mint in the air. Hot towels and friendly staff. My wife and I just had a couples massage and would do it again in a heartbeat. read more

We were also brought in via GROUPON. This was our first couples massage, and it was so amazing and special. Talented therapists, sacred space, made the experience one we will treasure. Earlier this year, I was looking for a new massage place after our in-home therapist moved away and I was getting disappointed with what I was finding. I landed on Michelle's through a Yelp coupon and I was impressed right from the start: friendly staff that treats you professionally, hot towel full body wipe down to start, then the massage with hot towel wipe in between back and front and another wipe down at the end (reduces the amount of oil left on you at the end.) The massage is pinpointed to the areas of need. The therapists are very good at finding my trouble areas and using deep pressure to work on those spots. Deep pressure along with unique draping methods allows the therapist access to most areas from head to toe on the left or right side with long continuous strokes. Something you will not get at one of those chain places that begins with an 'E' (Escape, Envy, Elements). At other massage places I often feel mummified and distracted due to excessive attention given to adjusting the draping during the session. Not at Michelle's. Michelle's facilities are simple but inviting and with easy access to Shea and the 51. All of the staff I have met are very professional and knowledgeable. I generally get a 90 minute Deep Tissue massage with either Rhoda or Jocelyn, both are very talented. 90 minutes is just long enough to really settle in and get relaxed. I have been getting for at least 20 years now and Rhoda and Jocelyn are among the best masseuses I have ever had. I highly recommend Michelle's. read more

Came here for a couple's massage because I purchased a groupon. It was really great! The place is nice and clean. All of the employees were very nice. The groupon obviously made it a lot cheaper, but if I remember correctly I think a "basic" hour massage was around $70-$80. The couples massage was really nice. Just two beds next to each other in a room, with calming music and nice smells, typical massage parlor. The massage itself was great. My boyfriend really enjoyed his and I really enjoyed mine. My husband and I went in for individual deep tissue massages last weekend. I only scheduled a few days in advance and they were very accommodating even though they were almost completely booked. My massage was with Rhoda was excellent. My husband is very picky about massages but he said Joselyn did a great job as well and he will definitely go back.
